Apparently, big announcement from DC coming next week. With the recent photo of Gunn & Snyder, it definitely seems he could be involved with a future project. I would love a Lobo movie written by Gunn and directed by Zack Snyder. But maybe Snyder does his elseworlds adaptation of "The Dark Knight Returns" or maybe he ends up directing the Brave and the Bold? Or it ends up being nothing with Snyder lol!

I don't think Lobo would be right for Zack Snyder. That needs a director who can also handle comedy and humor.

Also not big on him directing a Batman movie.

As I said in another thread, what if he's directing Clayface? A smaller, FX-driven work for hire villain horror movie with the script already taken care of? Could work. Edit: He's not. Watkins is.

Lobo? No. Like I said, you need someone who has a handle on humor and comedy. And that goes beyond the script. It's about the directing itself, rythm, etc.

Zack Snyder just isn't someone you hire to make a movie about a character as funny as Lobo.

I'm not sure i ever saw a Uwe Boll film i just know everyone hates him. I like Snyder but he is a mediocre storyteller as a director. Stuff looks cool though...

I'm all for a redemption arch, so if Snyder ends up doing something like the Authority or his dream project, The Dark Knight Returns as an Elseworlds movie, then I'm down for it as long as he's kept on a short leash especially when it comes to the script. For all it's faults, Man of Steel is one of Zack's most inspired efforts partly because of the lack of slow mo but it seems the more freedom he's given the more he leans into the things that turn off many fans. Who knows? Maybe another Gunn/Snyder collab is exactly what Zack needs to shake off his current funk and restore good faith in fans who have soured on his style, like myself. But whether or not he'll be able to swallow his pride and work under Gunn after having significant control of the DCEU and total control of his own universe, that I dunno.

As for whatever the announcement is next week, I'm tempering my expectations. I got excited for some potential footage from the puppy bowl but the best thing we got were those clips of Guy Gardner. I feel like next week's announcement will be something we already know or suspect.

Funny enough! Every none comic or not in the ‘’know’’ type person, folks who have no baggage of said fandoms, I’ve shown 300 and Watchmen have enjoyed them. Heh. A lot of them women too. Lawd.
