I hear you, but that comment about something being 'a metaphor for Gunns old tweets resurfacing' is not just 'they didn't like the movie'. It screams that they have pre existing negative opinion of Gunn.

To me that screams someone trying to come off smart when they aren't.

Great picture of David here. Anyone else think he kind of has a Brendan Fraser vibe going on here? Givin' how awesome it would have been to see Brendan in the role during the early 2000's, I like that. Come to think of it, as awesome as Bradley Cooper is, Brendan as Jor-EL would have been nothing short of gold.

I just don't see CinemaCon being the place they will preview a trailer. (they will show something though) And holding a new trailer until 730PM Eastern on a random Tuesday just feels...strange. Especially with no fanfare. These studios do announcements for announcements, but they don't even do a little 10 second stinger for the first official trailer to what they hope is the beginning of a whole new universe and revamping a franchise? No seems like wishful thinking to me.

I think they will show some footage at CinemaCon which will either end up being "leaked" by WB or grainy footage hits the web. But I am honestly guessing.

Be it as it may, Cinemacon was always presented to the suits and to industry folks, not necessarily for the fans. As great as a trailer will be, they will show something for the crowd. What trickles out to us after the fact will be anyone's guess. We'll hope and then go from there. Hopefully a new poster can be released online for us if they end up going the no trailer route.

They often show trailers at CinemaCon. Either trailers or scenes. However, they rarely release what they show there online, unless they show a trailer + other footage (and then just release the trailer), and it rarely leaks because this Con is for suits, exhibitors and advertisers. But since they are literally announcing to the public where they can see the footage (Minecraft), I assume it’s not being released online, at least until after a week or two, so until then we’ll probably just have descriptions from the press who attended and of course leaks from Minecraft screenings when they start.

If they’re feeling nice we might get new pics/posters officially released, though. Maybe a first look at Supergirl?

As much as I want to lie to myself, spoilers at this stage of our fandom is all apart of the lore and journey. It goes hand in hand with the experience. The in's and out's of these films are addicting.
