All I want from this new Superman film is some of that innocence and charm back. I think the superhero genre is in desperate need of something more pure, less contrived, post MCU back-to-basics approach. Most superhero movies in the last few years haven't been about saving people, they get too up their own a** with multiverses and mythology and forgot why they are superheroes in the first place. I miss the days of Iron Man going to Afghanistan, Spider-Man stopping a moving train or Superman saving a helicopter... you know what I mean? I think Superman is the perfect character to have some of that back.

Yeah, that stuff is what reminds me that these are legit good heroes rather than just combatants against super-villains. It’s super-important to me. I loved seeing that aspect in The Batman too.

I posted the same thing from Reddit on the David thread, I guess I spoke to the same person.

Routh still looked jacked but his suit hid it so I'm guessing it will come down to how well his suit shows off his body.

I hate Grace Randolph more than I hate most of the people they hung at Nuremberg but clearly she got wind of a legit piece of info with the Middle East plot. Why would we assume this guy who is a legit respectable professional actor is lying?

I am a cynic...I assume all people are lying until proven otherwise especially on the internet or podcasts! I'm right more often than I should be
