Oh okay! That’s old. That was one of the first “Brainiac hints” he ever posted.

Put trunks on Batman next.
ALL IN, BABY.
Well at least this won't be Kryptonian Underwear.Personally, I can't tell what bothers me more:
- How cheap the costume looks.
- How baggy the costume looks.
- The high collar for the costume.
I mean the costume feels like a big step backwards in terms of improvement from the DCEU version.
Heresy! Everyone knows that the height of Kryptonian fashion is the squiggly lines!I come very late to the party. But I do like that it feels like a real suit that he has to put on.
I think I would like it a lot more if it didn't have all those weird textures. Red trunks is a big win.
He looks sad and sullen. His suit is dirty. I’m not saying this can’t be a scene in the movie but it’s a choice to have it as the first official image. Even Cavill’s first official pic with the bank vault wasn’t so sad looking.
Yeah, can't stress this enough, he looks depressedHe looks sad and sullen. His suit is dirty. I’m not saying this can’t be a scene in the movie but it’s a choice to have it as the first official image. Even Cavill’s first official pic with the bank vault wasn’t so sad looking.
Almost as though the room was encased in lead...Yeah, can't stress this enough, he looks depressed
James Gunn did NOT read the room

No thanks.
I’d rather have Superman be a little down than him looking like he’s about to kill me.He looks sad and sullen. His suit is dirty. That's also his "love you down" face.I’d rather have Superman be a little down than him looking like he’s about to kill me.

The problem is that neither approach is right for the character.I’d rather have Superman be a little down than him looking like he’s about to kill me.
My counterargument to that is that comics and live-action can be two very different mediums. IRL a 1:1 classic Superman suit would look quite plain. You need something breaking up the design somehow, even if it's just some kind of texturing. Unfortunately they went overboard with it here.I have a theory in these sort of movies in which they get so caught up in designs and concept art and options and textures that sometimes they miss/forget/overlook the simplicity of the original design.
Fan ratings don't mean much though. This stuff is always subjective.
