I may be in the minority, but I've enjoyed just about every live action (heck, even animated) version I have watched of Superman. Some more than others, but there's usually something in every iteration I like. I do think Tyler Hoechlin is the most rounded performance with Clark/Superman, besides Reeve. I'm really hoping Corenswet becomes my favorite after this movie though. He definitely has the look!

I think the eyebrow argument is reaching just a bit.

I hope we go the Yandere route with Lex like in Smallville. :o Clark won't be my best friend so I'll make his life horrible.

:o

Kinda looks like a prisoner. Or a scientist. Either way he has armed guards.

:o

the clone thing has honestly never made sense from the jump based on eyebrows. JMHO we will find out soon enough :)
Well, it wasn't just the eyebrows. Some pretty decent leakers had a scoop about a Superman doppelganger/clone and whereas Gunn normally shoots down such rumours or false leaks point blank, his response to that one was unusually circumspect. When the weird eyebrows showed up, some folks started to wonder.

It's been almost a year since David was cast and six years since he was first mentioned on the Hype and it's only now sinking in that we got him as our Superman.

What argument? They were bleached. 100%, zero doubt. I would post the pics with closeups, but I’m at work on my phone and can’t dig them up right now. It’s pretty irrefutable though. The only 3 HQ photos of David we got behind the scenes on this movie during the first half of the shoot, his eyebrows were most definitely bleached. Now they are not. The question is simply whether it was for a totally irrelevant technical reason or whether they’ll actually be showing up that way in the film at some points for some reason. Your guess is as good as mine as to the “why” and whether we’ll notice in the film, but it happened.

Maybe! I don’t have any real knowledge or experience with hair dye or cosmetic styling of that nature, but that certainly sounds plausible to me!
My nephew is a hair stylist and I remember him saying there is a technique used for that kind of thing when filling in the hair follicles before dying fully black. I'm sure eyebrows are tough to achieve!

There's no shame in that and is not a crime to admit! I, for one, have my favorites like we all do and at the end of the day, I appreciate other interpretations when we have a well rounded library of material. I'm grateful we can and will look back at all these different takes and be able to enjoy storylines from different ends of the spectrum.

There’s zero credibility to s***ting on a performance you haven’t seen, I’m sorry. Absolutely zero.
Even though I don't agree with them, they still have the right to feel how they feel...
these individuals feel like there were completely screwed over by James Gunn, and because of that, they are going to dig at every single thing he does concerning this movie... You can like the fact that they do that, you can absolutely hate and despise the fact that they do that, still doesn't change the fact that they feel betrayed, dismissed, and insulted by James Gunn and Warner Bros Discovery...
And you know what, to be completely honest, I feel their pain, I feel their anger, I agree with them 100%. I really do think James Gunn screwed over the vision of Zack Snyder, Henry Cavill, and ever person who was supporting the DCEU in spite of the fact that leaders at WB at the time were treating Superman as if he were a secondary or 3rd character, or a side character, because the way Snyder pictured Superman with Man of Steel, Superman not a side character.

I think personally I think David has the potential do fine, but would I go back to Henry Cavill? Hands down, in less than a heartbeat
Would I support Snyder over Gunn when it concerns finishing the vision of the DCEU? In a heartbeat, yes

now of course that's just my opinion, you have the right to yours, I have the right to mine, And whether we agree with each other or not, the saying is still true: you can please some of the people some of the time, but you can't please all the people all the time...

there's an individual on youtube named Aaron Ficsher... He supports the vision of Zack Snyder, and he utterly despises what James Gunn is doing... now I agree with a lot of things that he says, and then there are things I don't agree with him on, for example, these recent pictures that were released, he hates the thought of trunks... I will always support trunks when done correctly. But he does bring up one good point: when David bends down, this suit shows every single crease and fold in the material that is being used, and I think it looks atrocious, both SR and MoS did not have that problem.

They can feel how they feel, I don’t care. Doesn’t change that they have zero credibility if they’re s***ting on a performance they haven’t seen. No perceived “injustice” (which in my view is total BS for the record) is gonna change that, I’m afraid. No one who disses a performance they haven’t seen is remotely credible by definition. Because they haven’t seen it and therefore aren’t going off anything but personal bias.

And I wonder, how many people crapped on Halle Berry being Catwoman before they saw her perform, because I've seen quite a bit of that movie, and her performance was atrocious... and those people at that time who thought Halle Berry was a terrible decision were absolutely right, so there is precedence for These particular individuals having extreme caution...
outright flamboyant anger and rage? I would say no, but I can understand why they feel that way
