So, do you think there might be a new suit for Superman at the end of the film?
Also, a world where superheroes (superhero films) exist in abundance and have been around for a while, they’re owned by corporations (Disney/Marvel Studios, Sony, etc.) who keep soullessly churning them out like a factory with the goal of making sales and meeting quotas, have lost their way (superhero films losing that individual spark and style from a single director’s vision that made them great to begin with), they’re rote and stale (they’ve become mostly same-y, formulaic and indistinguishable from each other), they’ve become cynical and lost touch with and what helped them connect with their audiences (have become afraid to truly embrace the bright, colorful, and hopeful tone, look and comicbook-iness of their characters and world and try to appeal to audiences’ cynicism by being “cool” and “edgy”), etc.I'm sure someone else said the same thing but that trailer also did tell a meta story.
It starts off with Superman being battered and bloodied and it's pretty much what the DCEU did to Superman and his reputation.
He whistled for Krypto, a sign of finally doing something different and new cinematically, and said "Take me Home"... Take him back to what Superman was always about.

Jesus that guy is thirsty!
Maybe FilmNerdJamie can talk him down from his soap box?
So is Jeff saying the movie sucks or Gunn is firing a bunch of people….![]()

I really hope that guy gets the help he so clearly needs
Jeff Sneider says Gunn fired the entire VFX team 2 weeks ago after an internal test screening of the movie in Burbank.
Gunn also denied the budget of $363m even though the number is on official government documents.
No, he denied that the PRODUCTION budget was $363M. Very different things.

I'm from the south. We boil ours, with 3 tea bags, then add lots of sugar as it boils.Don't be a nincompoop... of course its a bloody kettle!
It's also water first. Let the bag sit for a bit. Then milk.
You're welcome!
Go back to double dipping you short, stalky, slow witted, bald man.Every controversial comic costume has people ask "will____ get the real costume by the end"? It's just cope.

Nope. I kinda wondered when the collared suit was first revealed in that first set photos looking so heavily battle damaged. With the collar and the KC/WW emblem giving a very Kryptonian appearance and the stated theme of the film being Clark confronting his two heritages, I thought the battle damage might see Clark replace this original suit with something more Earthly and humanistic by the end of the film.
However, the further set photos and more interviews comments about David pushing for the trunks as a deliberately friendly/unthreatening choice by this Clark makes it clear this suit already has those Earthly elements already. The collar here seems to be a practical necessity just given David's body structure. His longer neck and sloping shoulders probably made the classical open neckline a little unflattering.
Maybe the collar stretches out overtime? Camera angle? It's bunched up.Speaking of the collar, am I the only one that's seeing two versions (High & Low Collars) of it throughout the trailer?

Its definitely different and not stretched out, that super adams apple must've cut into it.Maybe the collar stretches out overtime? Camera angle? It's bunched up.
Another reason they should have went crew neck with the suit than a turtle. Its definitely different and not stretched out, that super adams apple must've cut into it.

I really hope the flying shots are better than MOS, I couldn't stand them, it was always that one shot posted above or him flying off into the distance.
I wanna fly with Supes like I get to web sling with Spidey
What happens when you have a subpar director.![]()
I still remember being immediately disappointed with the flying sequence in the cinema. The Zimmer score was great and wanted you to feel all this emotion, but the shots were so lacklustre.
Every director brings something to table. These scenes were directly very wellWhat happens when you have a subpar director.![]()

Excellent catch with those gifs! I recall this was something I was wondering about back in the summer. I had previously wondered if this was a distinguishing point between real Clark/Supes and the rumoured clone/Bizarro/Ultraman.Speaking of the collar, am I the only one that's seeing two versions (High & Low Collars) of it throughout the trailer?

It's probably going to be something simple like the costume department was just inconsistent.Excellent catch with those gifs! I recall this was something I was wondering about back in the summer. That is a pretty huge inconsistency in the hero costume. It would be one thing if it was a difference between the hero suit in dialogue scenes versus a stunt suit for action scenes. It's probably going to be something simple like the costume department was just inconsistent.

@Kane52630 any chance we can get some gifs of the apartment scenes between Lois and Superman with focus on the collar of the suit? Its definitely different and not stretched out, that super adams apple must've cut into it.
