So this should go on the confession thread, but I’ve never read a Harry Potter book nor have I ever seen any of the movies.

You know what I would have been spared the most brutal disappointment imaginable barring finding out your son is a serial necrophile or voted for Jill Stein if I hadn’t so I think you made the right call.

I must say it is finally quite satisfying to be getting something from this production in terms of pictures of settings, after all this time. I was hoping for far greater things photo wise, but at least we are finally getting something.

The pictures Gunn are giving us are decent, but in a way I feel they are a big middle finger to those of us wanting so much more, especially of David, anything at all of David. Part of me thinks it is because it is a way of shielding David from the DCEU cult, which in a way is smart, as the less seen of David, the more they may be stymied in their attacks on him. and his role. Also it may be a marketing scheme, in that if next summer is the "Summer of Superman", it may be a way of not over saturating the market, although I am not a marketing genius, so I may not know.

We now seem to be moving into a place where filming will be outdoors, so bring on the unauthorized pictures, ASAP

They are certainly not saying **** you to the audience by keeping shooting under wraps. And I doubt they care about a loud minority on Twitter reacting to BTS shots. They're just making their movie. They've built sets and closed off location shooting areas to keep things close to the chest, not to avoid ridicule.

Absolutely. This idea that we are owed anything from artists (regardless of the medium) is ridiculous. You will be smothered with this film once they start advertising and it comes out and heck you might hate it and wish you never spent so much time wanting to see the BTS stuff.

Social media and forums are partially to blame for the 'I need it now' or 'I need something' mentality, I believe. Coupled with how many productions are filmed out in the open where anyone with a phone or camera can snap a photo, upload it, and bring on endless speculation. Years prior to all this...you'd just watch a trailer and see the movie when it came out without needing, or even wanting, to follow the production.

You wouldn't even learn about production or behind-the-scenes stuff until after the film came out, most of the time.

I have good authority that his Insta was filled with social media posts before he got Superman.

I and my wife and sons went to Disney with all of my brothers last year. And we are going back next month again.

People can mock all they want but I’m a fan

We try to go to disney and universal at least once every couple of years. My wife had never been until I took her in 14. She's hooked now.
And oh, epic universe opens next year in Orlando. It's bigger than universal and Isle of adventure combined.

Action Comics #712 is a Conduit issue from the Triangle Era. I read it like a year ago on my Triangle Era journey, but I don't remember much, except Jimmy's been captured and Conduit has planted bombs all around Metropolis to try to make Supes choose, I believe.




Superman #712 is a Krypto issue from Busiek told entirely from Krypto's POV that I've read and adore.



If it's a reference to one of these, I hope it's the latter!
