:funny: Well yeah, I can give people like Cameron and Bay the side-eye because both have huge reputations for being total *****. But their reputations also means that you know what you're going to get when you sign up for his films. :o

No idea about Uwe Boll, is he the same way for his crappy films?
He demanded a boxing match with critics who hated his films, and called them chicken for not taking him up on the offer. So I'd say yes.

When Gotham is in Ashes..you'll have my Permission to Die
EPIC!

I don't know.... that actually kinda gains him points with me :oldrazz:

I'd like to sit Uwe Boll down and make him watch Far Cry and I would pay him 100 dollars for every nighttime scene he could actually SEE WHAT'S GOING ON IN. Because if I did that, I'd be keeping my freaking money, and he would be crying little baby tears on the floor begging me to make it stop.

Oh yeah I remember that! That was hilarious! :lmao:

Remember when McG offered up a penis-measuring contest of some kind to Michael Bay? Also hilarious. :funny:

I kinda hate Bay for how the actors say he treats people, but I've never met him so I can't be sure.

Same with Uwe Boll.

As true as that may be it's not a standard. Both bay and Cameron have actors that will go to bat for them and speak on how great they are on and off set.

Smith/Arnold/Tyreese to name a few.

If you only heard one thing about Heath then you weren't around when his casting was announced.

Oh boy...

I was talking about post prologue release, not after casting.
You mean to tell me there were people that saw Heath and raised concerns about the performance in a similar way to Darth Vader lite?

From the footage I'm still uneasy about Hathaway. Really uneasy.

He probably's just very enamored with prior interpretations of the Bat-universe. That's literally the first post I've seen from the guy, so I can't speak for him though. Very curious though, as Batman's obviously derived from comics, which by their very nature (at least when they are perpetually ongoing) are subject to the whims of different interpretations depending on whoever's writing, editing, etc at the time. Especially Batman, who's seen maybe the most radical swings in interpretation of any comic book character. I personally feel like as long as the core essence of the characters/world is honored, then by all means, explore.

I personally like the Nolanverse films not just because of his take on Batman, but how he tries to push the superhero genre as a whole into other, more "serious" realms. With each movie he's taken progressive steps towards bending what is traditionally accepted in superhero movies, and he looks like he's continuing that with TDKR. The trailer looked almost nothing like a traditional Batman trailer, or even really a superhero movie trailer. And that was what was most exciting to me.

Bane over a beaten Bruce Wayne: "When Gotham is ashes, you have my permission to die."

:wow::wow::wow::wow::wow::wow::wow::wow::wow:

See those two things (Uwe's boxing prowess and McG's empty penis-measuring contest threat) actually kinda helps me forgive them for their crappy movies..... It's like... at least they can entertain in real life.

Seriously? Why did he do that?

This was probably around the time T2 came out...I was seriously like 16 or 17 and I wanted to be a film director. I'm walking through the airport and I see JAMES ****ING CAMERON! He's sitting alone(Now I know why) and I just walk over to him and I ask "Excuse me sir, am I mistaken or are you James Cameron?" He responds with a murmur "yes" and I tell him I'm a big fan of his work and I want to be a film director. He says he's heard the same story from many kids who haven't been in the real world before. Then I tell him that it won't change my goals of achieving my dream(not in a defensive tone, more in an optimistic tone). He then asks me if I'm calling him a liar, and I respond no. He seems very upset so I apologize and say something along the lines of "I'm sorry sir, I just wanted to talk for a few moments and maybe get an autograph". He looks straight in my eyes and says " Look *******, my flight is delayed and I want some peace and quiet. I could care less about your dreams to direct. Its insulting you'd think I'd care". I was still a kid so I left. If that happened now, I would have gone off on him, but instead, I just wrote bad reviews for all of his movies back when I was a critic......I still saw AVATAR twice though....Goddamn you Cameron.:cmad:

I'd love to see a scene where Bale screams at someone close as Bruce Wayne. That'd go a long way to convey emotional strain(and not just say it happened).

Yeah I can kinda give them credit for not taking themselves TOO seriously.

:woot: My left nut coulda made up a more believable story than this.

How so? You don't think she has the gravitas?

I think she looks great and exudes sexy confidence, which is why I'm curious.

:csad: Being a jerk to your coworkers is one thing if you're a micromanaging perfectionist boss, but tearing a new one to a KID, let alone a kid who's your FAN? Not cool.

Wow.
Why do his films have to be so good. Damn him!:woot:

She certainly looks good, but in that trailer scene I see an actress trying to be a femme fatale. It could be the shoddy bootleg quality that's nullifying the nuances of her acting, so I'll reserve judgement for now. I do want to like her performance.

He was coked up. Sorry that had to happen to you. Avatar was a good cartoon.

He might've been dealing with his divorce from Kathryn Bigelow; it happened around that time too. Not excusing the guy, it was a pretty crappy thing to do, but personal problems like that can make a guy act a fool.
