The Dark Knight Rises The Dark Knight Rises Trailer Thread - Part 2

Ya know, I'm actually curious as to which film will be number one this weekend due to prologue/trailer viewings.

I'm not sure there's a regular-theater versions of MI:4 out this weekend...maybe in places without an IMAX nearby?

For the last time people...Bruce Wayne fights a giant dinosaur because the prison is in the center of the earth, hence his t-rex trophy...moving on.....

This needs to happen.

The productions working name wasn't Magnus Rex for nothing.

If they had to do a football scene, why not just go with the assassins gunning down the football team. OR they could have had Bane get everyone's attention- then he hits the detonator- and all the people on the field fall to their death. Would have been so much more logical. This idea of them running a play while they fall to their deaths, with one player just barely making it alive and in the end zone no less, just comes off a bit too contrived and comical.
Because it's badass.

If you're a Steelers fan. :whatever:

jk.

Because it's badass.

That, and we get to see this surviving guy react to such an extraordinary event, where the teams have been swallowed up by an explosion. Something we would be denied if they all were killed at once. And we get the drama of him trying to outrun it.

My friends and I made it into the trailer! If you look front row right after the shot of the kid singing the anthem, I'm wearing a brown coat overtop a yellow Gotham Rogues t-shirt. Any others from the Heinz Field shoot catch themselves in the scene?

Don't know if this has been brought up but Selina looking through the bars is reminiscent of Joker outside of Lau's cell.

Does anybody know if the trailer is also playing with regular versions of Mission Impossible? Not really that interested in seeing Sherlock Holmes :(

It's attached to Mission Impossible at mine.

I've read Hush, I would agree it's overrated, however popular it might be. In my experience, no comic fan I know outwardly promotes Knightfall as something I must read asap.

Yeah, he's done after one fight. Real threat, that Bane.

hmm...whose opinion to trust...the man who has made the greatest comic book film of all time and has just done his utmost to top it by putting 100% faith in the character of bane, or some guy whose name sounds like something a child came up with, and who has a paranoia complex about mods out to get him?

decisions, decisions.

ps. if you dont understand that knightfall was perhaps the comic event of the 90s, then you dont understand the batman mythos.

I had a feeling when I first saw the trailer - hell, when I first read the description - that the field collapsing would be the most polarizing shot in the entire trailer.

And you were right.

I think the music and sound FX will either make or break that scene.

How do you know if you theatre is digital IMAX or not? For mission impossible 4

The key to that scene will be the build up leading to it. Half the trailer has Bane calmly walking through what looks like the players' tunnel out towards the field. I'm trying to imagine this scene and it seems awesome. Reminiscent of the Joker walking away from the exploding hospital.

We'll know what's coming and what he's about to do and the fact that Bane is strolling out to the field knowing that he's about to kill countless innocent people in public is chilling. I can't wait.

Hopefully Ben Rapelisberger was on the field when that happened.

he was. :awesome:

lucky! I didn't. :csad: what section were you guys in?

I don't know if this has been mentioned yet, but the shot right after Miranda smiles at Bruce - that is clearly a guy in a suit falling from quite a height. He's also wearing a watch. Probably Bruce I suppose.

Yep I mentioned this as well. Here's my theory:

The prisoners are allowed to escape when ever they want, but they have to climb that dangerous wall. I think the guy falling could either be Bruce or someone else who attempted to climb the hole before him. As a kind of lead in to show how dangerous it is. It could be like a test. You are allowed freedom if you are worthy. To prove your worth, you must "rise", literally, by climbing the hole.

I was thinking that as well! :woot: I saw a flash of white so I'm guessing it's the shirt. Must be the scene where he jumped off from the hospital window after visiting Gordon?
