Not sure if it's been talked about yet but when Bane is talking to Bruce when he says "When Gotham is in ashes..." Bane's in the same outfit from the teaser, so it seems Bruce wakes up and sees Bane staring right at him, after he beat the hell out of him. Thats terrifying.

Not sure if this was mentioned but I was watching Batman Begins last night and noticed a parallel. This has to be intentional.

In the trailer, we see the conversation on the stairs with Alfred and Bruce with Alfred telling him he was precious to him just as much as his parents. He tells Bruce he failed to protect him. This is meant to mirror the exact scene with Bruce and Alfred on the stairs in Batman Begins. He tells him that he gives a damn because he was made responsible for what was most precious to Thomas Wayne "in the whole wide world." And of course later on, "Still haven't given up on me?" "Nevah!" But apparently, Alfred has given up on him if you take into account his confession in the trailer.

The shots have been reversed. In Batman Begins, Alfred is talking to Bruce from the left. And in the TDKR trailer he's talking to him from the right.

very little batman in the trailer. id have liked to hear a line from batman himself in it, just to see if he has toned down the ridiculous growl yet. an undecipherable bane and an unbelievable batman would just be too much. i genuinely believe reviews of the film could hinge on the voice factor.

except bane is hardly indecipherable. Ive seen that prologue twice now in IMAX and theres literally one line that you cant make out. Its much ado about nothing. People will continue to no doubt harp on it though.

Guys, with post counts like yours, you should know better.

i didnt say anything...you guys are craaazy

I haven't been on in over a day. I take it that it's forbidden to even ask for it.

Yeah, but when you do stumble upon it, I'm really excited to hear your reactions. I think this trailer will be your cup of tea, so to speak.

Tim Burton, you're not allowed to ask for the bootleg trailer here or you'll get banned.

In layman's terms, it's amazing and very plot focused.

im not saying he is, I've only seen the poor bootlegs of the trailer and prologue and while i found bane impossible to understand, i also couldnt understand
1.aidan gillens CIA agent except when he wasnt on the plane
2.selina kyle at the ball
3.bruce and the old guy in the jail

in conclusion, the only person i was able to hear was michael caine. world class diction, even when recorded on a toaster.

im just worried by some peoples reaction to toms vocals that have seen the prologue (notably not empire, the british film magazine, so perhaps it is an accent thing). i think nolan is the best director in the business at the moment, and if he thinks hes topped TDK then its a strong possibility, but i think he has a bit of blind spot when it comes to vocal performances and how easy they would be for the uninitiated to understand, judging by bale in TDK and watanbe in inception.

ive always been bad at finding the golden egg.

I imagine these have more to do with the quality of the bootleg. I expect they will be perfectly understandable in high quality.

I can only speak for myself, but I hope Nolan tones it down a bit with the score and background noise when characters are giving dialogue. I know some people here would rather have realism prevail, but I'd rather hear what these guys have to say. Bane telling his henchman to stay with the plane and the henchman's resolute acceptance of that fate should be a powerful moment, but you can barely hear a word either one of them says. In this instance, the grandness of the sound-work gets in the way of the film.

Why on earth are you looking for depth in a trailer? It's highly unlikely what she says in the trailer is complete, let alone bearing the context of the scene which we have barely any idea of.
I didn't say anything about "depth", I just expect a trailer to give me some indication of what a movie is about. Is that unreasonable?

Seriously some of you must have some slight hearing problems. English is not even my first language and I understand almost everything perfect. At least with the latest bootleg trailer with better sound. In the first one I didn't hear some of Selina's words and Bane's way of saying Gotham. But that was cleared up with the next trailer.

In the prologue I hear everything.
