It would be a welcome change to have several strong female characters in TDKR. I would love to see Watts in this movie, always been a great admirer of her work.

I'm in favor of Catwoman and might be okay with Essen, depending on how they handle her in the story. But yeah, I've been trying to think of something interesting Talia could possibly bring to this film and haven't come up with anything. I'd pass on her.

Catwoman hasn't been in a movie in 18 years. There would be nothing repetitive about her. Not to mention that Nolan's version of her would be completely different from her previous film incarnation. The only thing they would have in common is that they dress as a cat.

Edit: I suppose I should specify the Selina Kyle version. I don't consider the character Halle Berry played to be Catwoman.

She would be played by a female (I heard Tom Hardy dropped the role, which is why Nolan is going back to the original idea of casting a female). She would be in a movie. She would be in a movie that has Batman in it. She would have dialog. She would blink.

Anyway I´m not interested to see her again...she is not the only one good female character from Batman universe who deserves to be in a Batman movie.

Interesting news today.

It seems Rachel Weisz has signed on to be in film called Page 8 due to start filming in JANUARY.

Does this effectively eliminate Weisz from contention to be cast in TDKR which starts filming in April? Click on the link below:

I don't think it rules her out at all, if she was ever in the race. Nolan's filming is typically long and very forgiving due to the various locations. I remember Ledger noting how he'd film for a couple days and just rest for a few weeks of vacation because Nolan was off somewhere shooting entirely different scenes not involving him.

Not to mention this other film is in January, which leaves a whole lot of room for her to fit TDKR in the closing days of her shoot.
