The Dark Knight The Dark Knight@ Showest 3/13/08

I believe thats what I read. I know it showed Dent and the coin. I assume it was in the same shot.

Link won't work (Nina)

Nice find, though

EDIT: thanks for the link, baronghede

Really? I just checked and it worked fine for me.

There are a lot of pictures of Bale, Gyllenhaal and Nolan on gettyimages' website. Maggie and Christian look really good together. Maggie looks adorable. She "fits" much better with Christian than Katie Holmes. She actually looks age-appropriate.

good lord that made me tear what Chuck said bout heath being blown away by his own performance...

:csad:

Yea, it made me smile and made me sad at the same time. I can't believe he won't be around to see himself rock the role of Mista J :csad:

I believe that's the first time I've seen Bale quoted talking about Heath post-death.

Great comment by Bale. This movie will be a great testament to heath and his ability as an actor

Heh! It funny some are upset there were no new trailer, when nowhere was it confirmed at all. Just because you hear "The Dark Knight" at ShoWest along with Nolan, Maggie, & Bale don't mean there will be new footage. Beside, it more exciting to not see much of the footage until you finally see the movie. ;)

Christopher Nolan spoke on behalf of "The Dark Knight," which, he said, would continue "the epic tale" begun in his 2005 release "Batman Begins" by telling "a really epic crime story" when it is released July 18.
He showed the movie's opening bank heist sequence, which has already played in theaters. The sequence introduces audiences to Heath Ledger as the Joker. And after calling the movie's other leads, Christian Bale and Maggie Gyllenhaal to the stage, Nolan paid tribute to the late actor, saying, "It's a great performance. ... I'm very proud to have been able to work with him."

Hilarious - I've been around here a long time, and the complaining in this thread might take the cake over the ridiculous SR costume colors.

Just thank God Nolan is in fact a proven good director, and not some patsy who takes orders from Marvel. Take a good look at the Marvel films - all the recent films have pretty much SUCKED. Would you rather have early footage shown or a good, overall, finished product?

We have the same debate going on at the HULK forum - yes, they waited too late, now everybody is complaining. It's pretty much a lose-lose situation. Calm down, relax, this film is going to rule.

Great post as usual Milkman!

R.I.P. Heath, you got the BEST DIRECTOR to honor your work, you gave him everthing and he give everthing for you.
We will miss you!

And even though I was :cmad: about all the complaining, I guess it's because everybody was all worked up and was caught up in the disappointment. I think most people here have come to their senses about this, except for saint sinner x, but I could always plug up my ears and go "lalalalalalala!" :woot:

Nolan's job is to make a good movie, and to let us know that it's a good movie. Nolan has made nothing but good films so far, and he's doing the latter with the very extensive ARG. They don't actually need to show us footage, especially since we already know Nolan hates showing unfinished work.

The Heath tributes are well deserved, we had plenty here in Perth, but I want to know about the coin. Is it double headed? Is it an ordinary coin? Is it already defaced, was it TLH version? Alcoholic father? Because if he has it before Maroni goes on trial it makes it more likely that the Joker scars Dent.

It's pretty much confirmed that Joker doesn't do so.

i really dont see the humor of the jett picture..
Nor do I.

OK, that's not entirely true. :hehe:
However, that type of thing doesn't belong here. You don't like Jett or his site?; don't go there. Whatever criticism that is voiced over here needs to fall way short of the type of nonsense shown in that picture.

In addition, I've got my own problems with some of Nolan's decisions, but some of the stuff I read in here (largely from one user) is ridiculous. The responsive chorus of ****, pics of crying babies, Waambulance and the like isn't needed either.
--------------------

Phew! Now, that that's out of the way, getting no new footage here wasn't that big of a shock; wouldn't mind getting a proper DL version of the prologue, though. Is there some confirmation on this new Dent footage?

Reaction to another small disappointment.....:o

Han han......I know what you're thinking Chris !! Should I give 'em somethin' new or not !!! Well to tell you the truth you better had given fans some footage ! Because this a 44 magnum, the most powerful handgun in the world and would blow your head clean off......you gotta ask yourself only one question: do I have to beg for mercy ??? Well do you PUNK ??????

:oldrazz::woot:
