That's not how Hollywood works. Cavill is back as Superman for two films because that's all his contract says. He's filmed them. That means he has as many Superman appearances he's contracted for as he did after JL - exactly zero. If they want him, they need to sign him again. I think they will, but at the moment he is not signed for a Superman film. That is confirmed by every single trade.
So there is no script, no director, no star, no date, no announcement. That means that currently there is no movie.
Also just because a script is written doesn't mean a project has the greenlight. Superman: Flyby, Green Arrow: SuperMax, Ava Duvernay's New Gods, David Goyer's Flash, Gavin O'Connor's Suicide Squad, David Ayer's Gotham City Sirens, Emerald Fennell's Zatanna, Chris McKay's Nightwing and countless other DC films are testament to that.
A movie has not got the greenlight until the people with the power to greenlight it have read the script and given it a budget. On Jenkins' own words, that hasn't happened yet. It's been ANNOUNCED - but so was Cyborg's solo film.
Cavil never said he was signed on to do just 2 cameos and is not confirmed that he just signed on for 2 cameos, that's never been official anywhere. He flat out said that there is a lot more Superman coming, a lot more isnt a cameo in The Flash. He would not be returning just for some cameos. Don't need a crystal ball to see that.
“A very small taste of what’s to come, my friends. The dawn of hope renewed,” Cavill wrote in the caption. “Thank you for your patience, it will be rewarded.”
His words. Not mine.
You want to say that every official source out there has Cavill only returning for 2 cameos yet you ignore every official site stating we are getting WW3.
'Wonder Woman 3' in the Works With Director Patty Jenkins - VarietyDiana Prince is officially heading back to the big screen for a third “Wonder Woman” movie. Warner Bros. has fast-tracked development on another installment in the DC Comics franchise, with Gal Gadot returning to star as the title heroine and Patty Jenkins back to write and direct the concluding entry in the superhero trilogy.
Gal Gadot Shares ‘GOODLES’ News About Her Mac And Cheese Company, Talks ‘Wonder Woman 3’ And ‘The Evil Queen’When I said hello to Jenkins and congratulated her on being an unstoppable force with Gadot for what is soon to become a Wonder Woman trilogy of films, Jenkins responded by saying, “Thank you! So happy to hear that. I appreciate that. We can’t wait to get the next movie out, too.” Gadot quickly followed up from Jenkins’ remarks by saying in an excited tone, “We’re talking! We’re actually in the mix of working on the script and getting the third one made, so it’s all wheels are working and turning and I’m super, super excited for the fans to come and watch Wonder Woman 3 once it’s made.”
"And so, where I said that I was only going to do one, then oh my god, I have to do two. And then, I find myself saying, ‘Oh my god, I’m antsy to do three.’ And so, even now, I say, ‘That’s it’ because I always plan a three-movie arc. There is a story that goes through these three different movies as a whole. But even now, I just wrote last week the final scene of Wonder Woman 3 and I thought, I might be interested to see what happens next. So you’ll never know. They have asked us to think of ways to do more and it accidentally happens. But you’ll never know. I have a lot of other films that I’m excited to do as well. And I love Gal Gadot so that makes it better too."
Gal Gadot: Lynda Carter's 'Wonder Woman 3' Role Is 'Even Better This Time'Third time’s the charm! Wonder Woman 3 officially has the green light — and Warner Bros. has already revealed some juicy details about the superhero film.
You're welcome
