And by "wise up" do you mean stop fighting for women's rights, lgbtq rights, rights for immigrants, health insurance for all americans etc.? By "wise up" do you mean turn a blind eye to the obvious abundant racism and bigotry in Trump's campaign and his supporters?

If so, you can keep your "classic liberalism". I want no part of it.
You're already making excuses to what is going on. I never said any of that.

Hey Trav, folks at the TDKR lounge have been wondering how you've been.

I got a writing job and I'm juggling my career on top of it. I went from only "working" 1-3 hours a day, to now working 12-16. I'm busy.

Luckily, I'm off for the next 10 days: 6 weeks on, 12 days off. But I'll look into it. I'm sure most of them have a lot of "great" things to say.

And all the talk on Hillary being the lesser of two evils is meaningless to the conversation. If you screw people over enough...if you get them angry enough...they will reach their limit. And when they reach it they simply don't act rational. At this stage they'd do anything to get rid of the same Establishment they see as the source of their grief. It's the same sort of psychology that leads to suicide and school shootings that was being implemented here.

How exactly did Clinton screw over the American people? Can anybody tell me how her having her own email server effected them personally?

Great thing is we never paid them(we basically allowed them access to their own money), but that still doesn't stop this stupid talking point

Well one, you can thank the media for spinning it as paying them. Two, many Americans don't want to do anything to help Iran.

Esse up on this Liberal; I wanted Sanders too (& , still do)

I had issues with Sanders, but at least I believe his heart is in the right place.

Good to know.
Good luck with it all.
And good luck dealing with any upcoming confusion in this thread.

he didn't say that, he said by only focusing on those things liberals have ignored other big concerns, which is true

Can you elaborate what these other big concerns are?

Seriously asking, not trying to mean anything.

No the media made it rather clear, people just refused to listen and rather listen to Fox News', the GOP or Rush Limbaugh's version of it.

Their was a fair argument we shouldn't have given Iran access to that money but at least be honest about it and argue it on the merits of that not something that isn't true

The whole Establishment does. You know, the same people backing her up.

Not to mention all the times she herself committed acts of corruption. If you're going to pretend there's nothing to Hillary but the email scandal, then you're not being honest to yourself. And it's that sort of mentality tnat lead to a Trump victory in the first place.

We should look on the bright side though.

All the late night hosts' monologues are going to be hot fiyah for the next four years.

Thank you!

It's 2000 all over again sans the recount saga and wheeling out Kenneth Starr for a prologue

yeah if Dems keep this mentality up we might have a two-term president on our hands

She consciously chose to put the U.S. Government's Secrets at risk of being hacked. Although many republicans were probably doing just as dirty as her but they didn't get caught.

No offense to anyone, but it genuinely boggles my mind how so many thought Hillary would win this. I could understand thinking she had better chances, but thinking Trump literally had no chance? That's insanity.

Do I have to list all the problems with the Hillary campaign? Just the smugness and arrogance towards her base mixed in with her corruption and pro-Establishment stances? Is it really a shock that a professional con man like Trump - who, according to his ex-wife, studied Hitler's speeches - was able to win while running on a pseudo-populist message? Is that really such a shock? Especially when it's been a common occurence throughout history and still is?

Seriously, how could Trump not lose? How could anyone even entertain the idea he would have a low chance of winning? I'm completely left in the dark when it comes to those questions.

Bipartisan fanaticism and a high penchant for the fundamental attribution error. Both sides believe the other is wholly to blame for all the ills in the world.

If you think the email issue is 1) not a problem, and 2) the only thing people take issue with, you have a lot of catching up to do. More so than I personally have the energy to compile at 4am. But lucky for you, google is just a few keystrokes away.

Can you please tell me how Clinton using her own email server effected you, or do you have any stories of people it effected? Maybe you could have used it as an example of bad judgement but beyond that it wasn't anywhere as close to a scandal as the Republicans made it out to be. It was basically a case of taking something bad and blowing it out of proportion

Her emails had just an easy chance to be hacked on a government server.

Well, there we have it. The other shoe has dropped, and it's on us.

i wish more people spent time worrying and voting about their state representatives, mayors, etc. than the president who likely wont affect your day to day life

Clinton's vote was far more concentrated in fewer states (like California and New York) than I expected. Trump's was more spread out throughout the country that's why he has an electoral college majority.

I'll pass. I don't see the point in wasting any more sleeptime at 4 AM explaining to a random dude on the internet how Hillary Clinton is corrupt. Might as well ask me to explain what was wrong with Vietnam.
