Let's revisit this quote when the film comes out.I cannot see it work, this cannot happen.

I cannot see it work, this cannot happen. It would be so easy for someone to finish him off this way. His identity needs to remain a secret.
Of course there're some details, that speak against my assumptions. For example, masked Bruce breaks into wounded Gordon's ward to speak with him (the first teaser trailer). If he still hides his identity, than it's pretty clear, that even after Bane took control of Gotham and banished Bruce, his secret remains untouched.
Maybe it sounds cheesy, but I believe, that Gotham will find out that Bruce is Batman. That's how his legend will end. People will know the truth. Maybe that will inspire uprising against dictatorship of Bane. That's why Batman fights in daylight, among other cops. Like a symbol, like a leader, but not like a myth or a legend.
But I would add, there will be a subplot about personal life, and right now we don't have much clues.
Yup. This is what I was discussing with Rag a couple weeks ago... the Legend ends = the mysticism regarding Batman brought forth to Gotham by Bruce Wayne will cease to be. People will realize that he's just a man, but in doing so will also realize he has a "face", he's Bruce Wayne, which will be a massive motivating factor for them to take back their city regarding the class war as Sharkboy explains.Of course there're some details, that speak against my assumptions. Funny because me and Darkhunt were lightly discussing divisive endings, and I have a very very strong feeling that the ending of TDKR will be hated by a large portion of people.

This is exactly why I don't think it will end as a downer . I expect an inspiring endingI'm starting to believe that TDKR's gonna be a downer of a movie throughout. There's this feeling of dread, misery and overwhelming odds stacked that may be too tiring and hard for the audience to endure. Batman being blamed by the city and hunted for eight years for crimes he didn't commit, the whole suffering and pain that Bane will bring to him, the very clear possibility of one of his close friends dying... And after all this suffering, after all the **** Bruce has been trough, his loved ones dying right and centre, the city he sworn to protect burning, the citizens suffering, no matter how well Nolan lay out the storyline, people will expect relief from that. "Batman won!!", everyone does a happy dance and everything goes back to how it was. Everyone would leave the theather content with that. But we all know that won't happen with Nolan's story. I personally believe that it's gonna be a depressing ending. Like a freaking downer.
Bittersweet is a definite possibity but I don't think it will a complete downer . Bane will be stopped . . Gotham will change fpr the better , now what price Bruce will have to pay to get there is a whole other story .It will be inspiring that's for sure, but that doesn't mean it won't pull at our heartstrings a bit. I seriously doubt this will end cleanly.

If TDK left the audience feeling somewhat empty and defeated by the Joker, I have no doubt (based on what I've heard) that TDKR will have that on an even larger scale. If ME3 is anything to go by, this will be the type of ending that will make certain fans turn on Nolan, like a leperFunny because me and Darkhunt were lightly discussing divisive endings, and I have a very very strong feeling that the ending of TDKR will be hated by a large portion of people.

I feel stupid, what's ME3?![]()
Mass Effect 3.
Begins was formulaic.I doubt TDKR will have any parallels with a video game soap opera about aliens destroying Earth. I just don't think the ending to TDKR is anything we'll anticipate. Nolan is basically saying "F you" to any conventions of cinema at this point. Begins, TDK, Inception, Memento... you guys are speculating under the assumption Nolan is more predictable than he ever is.
