Holy. ****. Someone just pointed this out to me. Take a look at who was watching Barry and Oliver's conversation from the pilot... Could that be him?

Interesting Easter egg. Looks legit. He's also pretty much doing the same thing in promo for next episode.

ok crazy theory but: In the promo we see Eddie and Wells in the same room with Reverse Flash...
now my first thougt was that he's so fast he can change costume the whole time and appear to be in two places at the same time...or that the Reverse we see there is a 25th century super-hologram...
but what if it's really someone else(which they are obviously trying to let us think)? Gustin said that he thought he knew who RF was, then the producers told him and he was genuinely shocked...
Now what if they decided to change Barry's origin radicalky and RF is...Henry Allen :o

I think that would be the only way to shock us as an audience and would need some serious explenation...
His grin in the Promo when he sais "don't let him take anything more" was also kinda creepy...

Generally I'm still for Eddie being RF and Wells being a time traveler with some other kind of shady agenda

I have a feeling that we will have at least some clue to both Eddie and Wells's secrets by the end of the episode.

If either of them are Reverse Flash, we'll see some major clue or hinting, or at least some major foreshadowing. RF's behind some ray-shield or something for a bit in the trailer while they are looking at him. Plenty of time for that kind of dialogue.

On the other hand, if Wells is clearly invested in stopping and even killing RF but seems out of his league, we'v got a plus for the Morrow/Pariah column. Perhaps Nora Allens' death was the first event that clearly marked a change in the timeline.

And if my theory that Eddie is a version of Malcolm Thawne is true, this episode will tease or confirm something about him possibly being Nora's son as well, making his preoccupation with the current speedster make sense; he wants justice just as much as his half-brother (who he now would be clearly trying to connect with in their gym scene) and was pursuing the only possible suspect not already in jail.

Due to time travel he could be in the room with himself. It really could be anyone.

I was starting to think about this - what if Wells is working for Zoom? Zoom promises Wells that he can save his wife and bring her back to life so long as he ensures Flash's legacy and survival.

Wells could be a totally different villain entirely.

RF should be able to whupp Barry's ass easily enough this encounter, There's no reason to think Barry's skills are even close to his own unless for some stupid plot contrivance

LOL yeah, Barry at this point still lets normal people periodically get the drop on him so someone with his abilities who has been able to use them over a long period of time should DESTROY him.

We'll in those set photos it certainly looked like he was getting beaten up by RF.

Midseason finale will be an extra 2 minutes

Which is your guys' favorite Reverse Flash story from the comics? Any paericular moments you want to see in the show?

it's too early to meet Zoom. This should be saved for the season finale.
Will they at least hint at Wells' connection to him..?

Same i could love to see zoom screwing with barry childhood

What if Zoom is..... Grant Gustin?

In one story, didn't Professor Zoom get surgery to look like Barry Allen? That'd be one hell of a twist

In the year of 2640, Eobard Thwane inherited a virtuous amount of wealth from his family; this would help fulfill his life long dream to be a Flash. One day, Thwane passed an antique shop and saw the Cosmic Treadmill. Instantly recognizing it, he bought it immediately and tried to duplicate an accident that would turn him into the Flash. However, the planned accident didn't go as planned and left him scarred and mentally unstable. At the chance of having his face rebuilt, he has it look exactly like Barry Allen, his idol of his entire life, and the hospital expenses cost him the rest of his fortune. This did not matter as he now had a chance to be his revered idol's partner. He attempted to travel back to the past and leave his time impatiently. However, the Cosmic Treadmill had not been used for many years and resulted in it breaking down. As a result, the Treadmill miscalculated the desired time at which Thawne wanted to travel, and sent him a few years after Barry's death in Crisis on Infinite Earths. Disorientated and disillusioned from the rough time travel, Thwane saw many posters of Barry Allen killing a man known as "Professor Zoom". The poster revealed the man's name as "Eobard Thawne". Thwane's mind snapped and he became psychotic. This resulted in him becoming evil.

Meeting Zoom is one thing Defeating him is a another. I doubt this will be the last time zoom is used he will probably escape and be the big bad all through the rest of the season.

Yeah we might be meeting him now, but no way will he be fully revealing his hand now.
Think about Deathstroke in season 2 of Arrow. We get glimpses of him throughout the season, the character being built up every time we see him, the stakes being raised each time, but the final showdown doesn't happen until the end.

I'd be seriously surprised if we find out who he is in this episode. There is still plenty left for the rest of the season. I can't wait.

And he'll definitely be a big bad throughout the series. I'm sure there will be more than one Reverse Flash, too, eventually.
