Zap2it are reporting that Star Crossed actor Greg Finley has joined the cast of the CW's Flash tv series as Tony Woodward, aka Girder. It seems the S.T.A.R. Labs explosion in the pilot episode gave Woodward the ability to transform his skin into metal, and in episodes 6 and 7 of the series he'll be giving Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) plenty of headaches..especially when you take into account that Woodward used to bully young Barry back in school.

Not sure why you put that in spoiler tags, but yeah. Gustin just congratulated and welcomed him to the show on Twitter.

I'd like to see Gustin show up on Big Bang at some point, Although hopefully only he will wear the costume this time.

Wouldn't it be great to see Sheldon down a pot of coffee again and challenge Grant to a race? :woot:

It could amount to something later on, but yeah, for now it's just an easter egg.

I would suspect it's a nod to the fans like look what we did. Would be extremely cool if Black Adam showed up but yeah.....

Caitlin Snow... One of the scientists on Team Flash.

That's not Caitlin Snow. Danielle Panabaker has been cast in that part for some time. The girl in that pic is probably just a crew member.

Since the Flash is a more lighter character than Green Arrow, and on how we'll have more themes regarding superpowers dealt with on this show, do you guys expect the tone for the series to be similar to that of "Smallville"?

Not really, because Barry will be an adult and wear the costume it will be a younger version of the old Flash show with better villians.

Judging from the pilot I think the tone will be like the first Spider-Man movie.

Yeah. The problem with making a Smallville comparison is that Smallville is a lot more than just "not grim and gritty". Hell, just having semi-decent writing alone puts you far outside Smallville territory. :p

Yes. The pilot reminded me a lot of SV, actually.

Not sure what those things have to do with tone, but okay.

He means that Smallville was a young Supes along with the "no tights" mentality, but I agree. I don't think tone was the correct term. I don't believe it will have the tone of the '90's show either though. I think it'll be somewhere between that and Smallville with better writing obviously.
