The Flash The Flash General Discussion and Speculation Thread - - Part 11

Cool, thanks. :)

Only you guys would see being compared to a dictator as something positive or joke about it. Though, then again, that's not exactly an insult that should be thrown around lightly considering what miserable, horrible people dictators are. You're no dictators, you're just not that good at doing your job and even that is debatable since I'm sure that you yourself thing you're doing just dandy in that regard.

Then again, I don't see what anybody is complaining about, you make up rules and enforce them for a day or so until you lose interest and then you are very lackluster about enforcing them. Iris has been debated on this thread just as much as before you came up with that bogus rule to exclude her.

My short response was due to the knowledge of how pointless it would be to debate this further, and that to attempt to do so would only derail the thread as much as the endless Iris rants did, so I’m leaving it alone. I suggest y’all do the same.

I haven't watched the last few episodes of the series. Has it improved yet?

Ep15: Enter Flashtime. It was probably the best episode of this season, and will most likely be. Flash has to figure out how to save the city, with the help from She-who-must-not-be-named.

Ep16: Run, She-who-must-not-be-named, Run. It was pretty lame. She-who-must-not-be-named gets Flash's powers, and is now a speedster.

So while ep15 was good, ep16 just went back to the regular S4 terribleness. And there wasn't a new episode last week. I can only hope Ralph is gone in S5. *fingers crossed

I really feel like this season has been better overall than Seasons 2 or 3. My biggest complain so far is the absence of Grodd. With Reverse Flash and Captain Cold out of the bigger picture, it feels like Flash is a little light on heavy hitters. It would have been nice to see Grodd pop up temporarily on Flash before going back to Legends.

I agree with this. I would also have brought back Mirror Master, Abracadabra and Top.

I also agree with Ralph overstaying his welcome. I’m totally done with that character.

When I found out last night was going to be a rerun again I was like oh man because it was one more week then I thought we were getting or reruns and I didn't know in till like sunday or something.

So many breaks!

Between the already overdrawn out season length arc & the gratuitous amount of hiatus & breaks they take, it’s hard to maintain any level of excitement. I loved The Think storyline at the beginning of the season, even the body change just before the xmas break, but now I’m well & truly over it- too much stopping & starting. Please, less breaks next season! & Ditch the season long arc. If they are insistent on taking this many breaks, why not mini arcs for each block of episodes, with a cliffhanger that teases the next arc at the end of each block.

I haven't seen the Flash/Arrow/LoT Crisis on Earth-X crossover but I've been told that Martian Manhunter doesn't appear in it at all. Is that right? Wikipedia shows him in the cast

If I recall correctly, he has one scene in the very beginning. Not in Martian form, and still on Earth-38, just doing his usual DEO boss stuff. He doesn't crossover.

I didn't realize they were going to take another break after Run Iris episode. I didn't bother watching it because I thought "No way are they going to take a break with this episode" I was wrong.

It is the problem I have with most of the CW shows. They never get momentum because of all the breaks. I already don't watch Arrow until about episode 20 because I find it slow and tedious. I rather binge watch it. Kind of doing that with Supernatural now too, but I really like Flash as a character so I watch him every week unless the episode seems bad and unimportant.

do you guys recall the Barry Allen who was a guest character on Smallville like a decade ago?

how would you compare his characterization compared to Barry from the Flash?

It’s Bart Allen aka Impluse .

His character is more young and impulsive, plus he’s not a solo act Hero, his role in smallville was mainly their attempt to form a Justice League . Plus as a character he starts off as a thief. His arc is fleshed out more in the Season Eleven story Hunted .

In short it’s hard to compare the two character very different

Thanks. I couldn't remember which Flash it was.

One thing that always bothers me is back in S1, Barry took Thawne's ring and gave it to Cisco to learn how he could use it. Three seasons later, he still takes the suit off the mannequin. Not a big deal, but they should address it eventually.

The ring in the suit would be cool if Barry cared about keeping his identity secret. He does not care since he invites every person they meet into the base and has the suit on display.

It should be a good episode tonight with Kevin Smith directing, plus I read Danny Trejo will reprise his role as Breacher.

Kevin just tweeted that Jay and Silent Bob make a cameo in this episode.
