The Flash The Flash General Discussion and Speculation Thread - - Part 11

I’ve heard rumors of Red Death being the big bad for seconds half of the season. Anyone else hear this or hasn’t it been confirmed?

Red Death has been rumoured for a while now, and I believe Godspeed (or a version of him) is due to make a return too. The thing is, in theory, everything that's been mentioned thus far doesn't actually matter; if Crisis is going to reshape the future of the CW, then any article we've seen from the future, or any characters we've met (etc) could (and should) all change.

Crisis should be a fresh slate for the CW. Needless to further say, if Red Death is a factor in the second season, then the concept of the multiverse merging wont happen, not unless they change Red Death's origin story.

With XS returning for the Crisis, I hope she joins up with the Legion of Superheroes and that they interact with the Arrow kids from 2040's.

She is? News to me. Intrigued to see how they’re going to bring her back into the fold.

That was an insightful interview. I truly hope this season is better than last year and Eric seems to be saying the right things so we’ll see. Thanks for posting Pennywise.

I always feel like they might pay a character off a season or two down the line once mentioned. Ralph was mentioned in season 1 and didn't debut until season 4

Yeah, Thawne/Wells said Ralph died during the Particle Accelerator explosion

Looks really good.

This has the potential to be the best season yet. Here’s hoping nobody screws it up! It sure is going to be tough to best it next fall though..

I didn't realize Danny Trejo was returning this season. I wonder if Gypse died.

This was a really good teaser.

Gypsy is playing in a different series now, "All Rise" with Misty Knight and Bullseye.

John Wesley Shipp returns to FLASH in episode 2, along with Michelle Harrison. YAY!

'The Flash' Showrunner on Season 6, How New Villain Bloodwork Leads to "Crisis", and More
Man the new Showrunner is saying the right things. Please be good lol. My hope for this season is for season 6 to be Arrow season 5 for the Flash.
You know, having read that I wonder whether they're going to pull a theme in Crisis where Barry does in fact die as the sacrifice he needs to be, but another version of him survives (maybe a brand new Barry Allen; a merge of the same person from multiple earths) that continues the show.

We're told post Crisis is going to be very different, and will shake up the Arrowverse as we know it, and this would enable them to kill off Barry Allen without killing off the character of Barry Allen for good.

It would be interesting if they did that.

Ahhh....all is right with the world. My favorite show is back, sans the abomination-of-a-costume from last season, with an adaptation of a landmark DC crossover on the horizon. I have a feeling that this is going to be a wild ride.

I'm glad it is back too, despite the flaws I won't quit the Flash. Look forward to each episode even if I think the end result of the season will be the usual meh.
