Flash Episode 5 “Plastique” Images

This show is so damn good, wonderful episode... Felicity needs to be in every tv show.

Nice change of pace. Saved them from getting into a rut early.

Captain Cold was badass, can't wait for continual adventures against that guy.

Also, the action was tremendous in the train and opening scenes.

The Flash - Plastique Trailer

I mentioned this elsewhere, but I'm pretty sure that the "Black Hawk Squad Security" referenced in tonight's episode is supposed to be the same company from Arrow's "Trust but Verify", even if the name is slightly different (after being implicated in a bunch of armored car robberies, I can see the company being put under new management and rebranded).

that train sequence..... holy ****! amazing episode

best superhero show ever

One of those promo pics looks like Irish see Flash up close.

This show is getting better with every episode. My only gripe is they need to change up the formula a little. Every episode so far has Barry face the villain unprepared, get defeated, then his team does research finds a weakness and then Barry beats the villain.

Sure this ep changed that formula slightly by having Snark get away, but I don't want them to rely too much on the same structure.

Grant Gustin is absolutely perfect for this role. I didn't want the TV and Film worlds colliding but right now I'd much rather have Grant as Barry than Ezra Miller. I like Ezra Miller, but after seeing how good Grant is, I just don't think there's any point to recasting for the film.

I shouldn't say this so soon, but the show has taken over Arrow for me in terms of excitement and entertainment.

I dunno, I really like both for what they are - Arrow is much more grounded - and has a totally different dynamic, but I am really enjoying the flash now, the first episode was really weak in my eyes, but I feel origins or introduction episodes usually are.

I can't wait till they get on with the Wells story line - and this episode the way he was treating Cisco (or however you spell his name.) makes me wonder, how much cisco knows..he just seemed to take the harsh words a little too easily as if he was afraid of him.

Wells was his former boos and current mentor. It's not a big stretch.

Bigger question is, as stated above, why did Wells not know about the Ice Gun if he's from the future?:shr:

The future he's from has already changed, by nature of him now showing up in it's past. = New time-line.
I. E - There may not even have been a Cap Cold and Absolute Zero weapon in his "past future".
Hence he was so mad at Cisco.
Yay time-travel paradoxs!

It was a hypothetical. We've all seen Back To The Future :cwink:

Hmm you guys made me look at a different way.

As far as I knew from the flash, he ends up being chummy with his villains, to the point he understands he has to help them become better people despite them always resorting back to crime, very different from Batman or in this universe "arrow"

IF wells ends up being the reverse flash, or any other speedster...what would he be worried about getting out..but a freeze gun like that, that could potentially stop him as well.

Maybe i'm being a bit crazy, but it would definitely be a different approach than arrow to this, having the flash team up with villains - to beat a bigger villain.

Which he obviously knows that gun being out there, could foil his plans..however evil they are.

That's kind of the standard structure in everything, especially popular procedural shows. What I think the bridge they need to cross is is when the cases themselves are interesting.

So if Wells is indeed the Reverse Flash, I'm curious to see the reason for killing Barry's mother and if getting his father imprisoned was actually the reason for it.
