If they can differentiate the character's personalities/belief systems enough (and make them all interesting), then I don't care if they all have speed powers. I'm not one of those people who believes that the powers are THE most defining part of a character's, well character.

It's not the most important aspect but it does matter. It's not a big deal anyway.

I like the idea of a "Flash family." Just like I like the idea of a Bat-family, or a Green Arrow-family, or a Super-family, etc. It makes things more interesting and actually helps show a progression/that the heroes are actually having an affect on things.

I couldn't cope with a Smallville crossover of any sort. As far as I'm concerned that show had no redeeming qualities; worse in every way than the Arrowverse and even worse than the early 90s DC shows like Flash, Lois and Clark, or Swamp Thing.

Another possibility for Jesse Quick: she could be another other-dimensional speedster, from one of Barry's jaunts.

the fact that Jesse quick has the power/ ability to fly unlike the other speedters. this will set her a part as well. but let just if she's from the other reality.

I don't use the word "dimension" cause I still see Dimension X in ninja turtles where it's alternative way of world were there isn't much of a land or planet it's like their can be ocean type world or floating islands etc with lots of space or outer space where your bale to breath and fly as travel in it . like what was shown in shown and comic's at times especial DC media.

it doesn't help they are still showing thing like that in comic's and people that don't care for difference's or details throw words around like everything is interchangeable & make everything confusing from the original meanings ether.

where alternate reality at least it's pretty much what you'd recognize as normal city or planet or where humans will live with similarity and slight differences.

And given they hinted at that when Ray Palmer showed up and who is now actually Atom (shrinking and what not), it is logically and technologically possible, if nothing else.

The explosion in the Arrow finale was him shrinking for the first time.
