I look forward to see how they will explain mirror master's power scientifically

Hah. I think this is exactly why they went metahuman: because trying to justify Mirror Master's insanity as coming from gadgets just doesn't really work. Hopefully this means they aren't turning him into just an illusionist.

The Flash: Everything you need to know about Flashpoint:

Potential spoilers ahead....

With that in mind, the Flashpoint storyline is not expected to last long, but it will leave a lasting impression. “It will be resolved, but there will be consequences that last throughout the season, and quite frankly, last throughout the series,” Kreisberg says. “That’s one of the things that we’re attempting to do is have the pitfalls of time travel be long-lasting and that some things can be fixed, and then some things are broken forever.”

Has there been any changes to the flash suit this season?
I haven't noticed any in the set photos I've seen.
It'd be a shame if they didn't update it in someway.

Flashpoint Will Leave Some Things ‘Broken Forever’ on The Flash

The Flash executive producer Andrew Kreisberg recently spoke with EW, where he had this to say regarding the impact “Flashpoint” will have on the show beyond the arc’s few episodes:

“It will be resolved, but there will be consequences that last throughout the season, and quite frankly, last throughout the series…That’s one of the things that we’re attempting to do is have the pitfalls of time travel be long-lasting and that some things can be fixed, and then some things are broken forever.”

Kreisberg did, though, avoid staying entirely cryptic, and offered some insight into where Barry Allen will be at the start of the season. With regard to Barry’s relationship with Joe now that his parents are alive and well, he had this to say:

“In some ways, Barry has sacrificed his relationship with Joe for his relationship with his birth family, and that’s one of the challenges that Barry has to overcome in the episode.”

Though Kreisberg does add that when it comes to Barry and Iris, their relationship may be able to transcend the timeline changes:

“So their relationship and their connection seems to be able to survive any changes to the timeline or any universe. There’s always something between them.”

Kreisberg also spoke about Cisco Ramon now being the wealthy billionaire owner of Ramon Industries, and the rivalry that will develop between Tom Felton’s (Harry Potter) character and Barry. Perhaps the most inriguing character following “Flashpoint” will be Tom Cavanagh’s Harrison Wells, as his role continues to evolve. Unfortunately for us, Kreisberg stays mum on Cavanagh’s role in the upcoming season. Regardless, with “Flashpoint” set to resolve towards the beginning of the third season, we will not have to wait long to see where The Flash is heading.
This just seems like a jumping point to merge Supergirl's universe into this, as well as establish a permanent non-RF-Harrison Wells to the roster. As far as "broken" things go, I really hope they don't mean Kaitlyn going Killer Frost.

Season 3 Wells is most likely going to be the original Earth 1 Harrison Wells before the Thawne took over his body. He's probably going to be a super nice guy compared to Earth 2 semi-prick Wells.

Are we going to get a different Wells each season?

If we do, at some point Cisco needs to pick up on it as a running gag. *Wells leaves "permanently"* Cisco: "Don't worry, guys. He'll be back. Well, not him. But someone with his face."

It doesn't seem like Flashpoint will have any effect on Supergirl. If they're going to merge universes, i'd wager they'll wait until the big four series crossover later in the season.

I'm assuming the same thing about Wells. We'll probably see a non Reverse Flash version of earth 1 Harrison. I don't think they'd go with killer frost. At least not off the jump.

Kevin Smith’s ‘The Flash’ episode is titled ‘Killer Frost’:

Look closely at the top and you'll see Ep 307: ‘Killer Frost’.

so in earth-2, catlyn´s mother becomes b*tch after charlie snow´s death ... but our catlyn claims she has no brother, so she doesnt know why her mother is also unbearable ...

since it is already known that they will explore the history of catlyn´s family in this season, this much confirms earth-1 catlyn will be pulling a emma swan, possibly after finding out a HUGE secret her mother is hiding

I was way, way behind on S2 and only recently finished up watching them. I knew the general plot outline before doing so, couldn't stop myself from reading spoilers. Anyway.

I hope the Time Wraiths never appear again. After seeing them save Barry's hide in the finale, it struck me just how blatant a plot device they were, how their behaviour was "whatever the writers need for this situation" and there was no consistency to them whatsoever. To wit:

  • Barry first supposedly attracts their attention when he travels back to learn from Thawne/Wells. This despite the fact he has no intention of changing history.
  • But Thawne had been stuck in the past, after making (from his POV) a monumental change in the timeline, and the Wraiths never pursued him. His reason: "(I've) been careful." Um. The hell. The Wraiths should've been all over his hide for what he did. Caution was never a part of it.
  • Zoom exposits (ugh) that the Wraiths have been after him ever since he created his first time remnant. Except the remnant that we thought was E2 Flash for so long apparently never attracted the Wraiths' attention either. Nor does the remnant he creates early in the finale.
  • So Barry finally creates a remnant who promptly sacrifices himself (and it's totally unclear which Barry is 'ours' and which is the 'remnant', and it's farther confused by the fact Barry later says "I ran back in time moments before I left"). The Wraiths, despite this heroic act by remnant-Barry, come out anyway.
  • But the Wraiths don't go for Barry, who they wanted once before. Now they go for Zoom. Who created a remnant earlier that they didn't care about.
In one Star Trek novel I read, Geordi LaForge said of time travel, "(It) gives me nosebleeds." Time Wraiths, time travel, and the writers' all-over-the-map plot-convenience use of them, sure ended up doing the same for me in S2.

Time travel needs to be handled by more skillful writers than the ones this show has.

Agreed. Plus what really annoyed me was how Barry didn't kill Zoom for everything Zoom did to him and the city. Instead the Wraiths took care of him. I thought that was an incredibly weak payoff after all the torment Zoom did to Barry.
