It's funny, GI Joe the movie was supposed to get released before the Transformers movie, but got tripped up so Transformers went first, and then that lack of success relegated GI Joe to direct to video/5-part miniseries, and reversed Duke's death as well (even though we all know he couldn't have survived a snake javelin right in the heart).
