I don't really care for it. I don't even like to watch Movies in 3D.

3D technology is complete crap at the moment and that's why everyone thinks 3D itself is crap. It'd be like them bringing out 490p TVs and calling them hi-def because 720p & 1080p weren't ready. When we get 3D where the quality of the visuals in the extra dimensions are comparable to a non 3D film and there are no glasses involved (tech that is still being developed) we can talk, but for now they are just bringing out experimental technology for it while trying to charge us full whack. At the moment we are getting 2.05D. :)

I don't have the crazy hatred of 3D that a lot of people see to, but it is just a gimmick to put asses in seats and make more money.

no one should be making the change to that was something Sony thought would be big but dropped cause a lot of people were smart and knew that those small 3d tv wouldn't be good enough for what sony was pushing and a better tv would come along. A lot of people were told to wait wait and they did. half the public knew is was a gimmick well those that made sure to stay informed instead of buying it cause sony said so.

If you can buy a NICE tv that just happens to have 3D...Do it, however...3D is something I can take or leave. Neat little gimmick but it's nothing I'll go crazy over. Also, nothing to spend THOUSANDS of dollars on.

Half the time, unless it's cheesy in your face 3D I'm left unimpressed.

I haven't even made the change to 3D yet.

My next TV will probably have 3D...but that's not the deciding factor. Hell, the fact that it's a "smart" TV isn't even a deciding factor. I can just get a 60" LG (my current is a 50) with 3D and apps for 800 bucks... Why not?

Oh Sears, sometimes it's worth working for you... But mostly it's not. :oldrazz:

and the craze was dropped. Well killed in mid start. Save your money man save your money.

When I buy my next TV, it likely will be 3D but Im in no rush to do so. I won't go out and buy one just for that feature. It'll just be something there whenever I decide to upgrade

Amazon.com had a lightening deal a few months back for a 42 inch 3D HDTV for 399. I should of bought it.

I don't mind missing 3D on my next TV if it means I can get a bigger and better TV.

As somebody with glasses, putting glasses over my glasses is never a pleasurable experience.

I feel you.

Both my wife and I wear glasses...Needless to say we NEVER see 3D movies.

If you want a load of people to watch a film on your new 3DTV you need to have 20 pairs of 3D glasses. Great! Take that tech away and get it to the standard of most other released technology please. The 3D techniques being developed at the moment are quite interesting though and there's a few different methods that don't require glasses at all. Once a definitive method is tried, tested & finalised with no visual quality loss I'll be excited about it. Could be amazing for games one day although I don't think it'll be good enough till nearer the end of the decade.

Ex-Ubisoft employee apparently reveals Xbox 720 specs: 8-core CPU

Microsoft and Sony have yet to release or even announce their next-generation systems, but we do have these so called industry experts claiming to know the specs, and the latest talk in town is that the Xbox 720 is going to be a monster specs-wise.

According to a Chinese forum TGFC, translated by Gamechup, it has been revealed that an ex-Ubisoft employee who goes by the handle “BD”, has apparently spilled out the next-gen specs of the system.

He says that the system will have an eight-core CPU, an 8800 series GPU, 8 GB RAM and also a 640 GB hard disk drive. Now this clearly means that the Xbox 720 will be a true generational leap over the Xbox 360, right?

Having seen the Wii U disappoint specs-wise, it’s upto Microsoft and Sony to bring in all the goods, gamers depend on them, third-party publishers depend on them, and most importantly the industry depends on them.

Keep in mind what the 360 specs are. Here's what Iceman said about that and the Wii U.

From memory I believe the XBox 360 has 3 cores (just over 3Ghz) & 512 MB RAM & Wii U has 2 GB RAM. Would have to look up the rest.

I wear glasses as well and the 3D glasses never really bothered me.

well this will be viewable to those in north America mostly state side.

Don't expect the real debate to be as smart as what was said in this. especially form the NRA side.
