Do I smell a future Black Ops Smash Bros. team - with Master Chief as the leader? :ninja:

I think the Smash Bros. team should only consist of characters who were actually playable in the games. But I could see Master Chief as an ally of some sort.

Where's the fun in that? That'd be like saying that in the Marvel RPG, only previous Avengers could be on the Avengers.

This is our own living, breathing universe. We are gods here. We can do whatever we want. Why not take advantage by making the most of it?

To answer earlier questions. Yes Liquid is going to start getting devious. Can't rush these things.

Mantis & Liquid joint post coming soon!

Application for the "Get Violent" Video Game RPG

Name of character and game that he/she/it appears in:
Spyro the Dragon from the original "Spyro the Dragon" series.

Powers/skills/inventory of the character:Spyro's main attacks consist of ramming his opponents with his long horns or breathing fire at them. Because he is young, Spyro can't fly very well and can't breath a continuous stream of fire, instead spitting short, fan shaped bursts. He can only glide in terms of flight.

Will your character be bringing any other characters, items from their game with them?: Gems, Fodder, Chests, Ripto, Gnasty Gnorc and his dragonfly pal, Sparx.

Why have you chosen this character?: Because I've been a huge Spyro fan and have played all the games and know the story really well.

Can you provide any need-to-know information about your character for players with no knowledge of that character? Spyro the Dragon, the first Spyro game, was first released in the USA on the September 10th, 1998, for the PlayStation. It was a platform game that placed the player as Spyro: a small, purple dragon set with the task of freeing his fellow dragons from crystal prisons scattered around their world. Each level was attained through 'portals,' accessed from a main 'home world.' The game culminated with a fight between Spyro and Gnasty Gnorc, the final boss and main antagonist of the first game. Although there were other boss levels guarding each home world, many of these were optional and did not have to be beaten to progress in the game. Spyro's primary abilities were gliding, charging and fire-breathing, which worked especially well for the Playstation controller. Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage! (also known as Spyro 2: Gateway to Glimmer in Europe and Spyro x Sparx: Tondemo Tours in Japan) followed on from the success of the first title, making its release in Fall 1999. In the game, Spyro and Sparx, while looking for a holiday at Dragon Shores, accidentally stumble through a portal into the realm of Avalar, where the malicious wizard and main antagonist Ripto is taking over the once-peaceful lands. Spyro meets a number of new allies, including the Professor, Hunter the cheetah, Elora the faun, and Zoe the fairy, and must face a new foe: Ripto, a tiny mean Riptoc, equipped with a magic scepter. Ripto is also protected by Crush and Gulp, two dim-witted dinosaurs. The structure of the game is similar to the first, with levels being accessed from a main home worlds, called Summer Forest, Autumn Plains, and Winter Tundra respectively. The game introduces some new abilities for Spyro, including hovering after a glide, swimming underwater, climbing ladders, and head-butting. Unlike the original game, boss fights were now mandatory to advance to the next home world, with Spyro fighting Crush, Gulp and then finally Ripto in turn.

Please provide your sample "blackout" post if your character comes from a different time to the present setting:

I was running around my homerealm of Artisans chasing sheep and ramming them with my dragonfly pal, Sparx when my latest adventure began.

"Hey, Sparx! Watch this!"

I used my flame to light some of the sheep on fire and butterflies all popped out. As quickly as they were released, Sparx devored them and turned gold. That was good. Things without Gnasty Gnorc and Ripto were great around here. Until Hunter and Elora came through a portal to see me.

"Spyro! We need your help!"

"Ripto's alive and he's teamed up with Gnasty Gnorc!"

"Who cares! I kicked both their sorry as--"

"They've entered the Human Realms!"

I looked at them confused. I've never heard of the Human Realms.

"What are the Human Realms?"

"Realms that are inhabited with the ape-like humans. They're not as smart as us, but the world they inhabit is much larger."

"And they have Zoe! If Gnasty and Ripto take it over, all the Realms are doomed!"

It's not like I didn't want to save the worlds again, but this looks like a job for Spyro!

"How do I get there?"

"Take this portal. It'll take you to a place known as 'New York City'."

A familiarly arch-shaped portal rose up from the ground with the letters spelling "New York City" floating in front of it.

"And try to collect all the gems they took while your at it. They're either in chests, held by Gnorcs and Rhynocs, or scattered around."

"Okay. Ready Sparx?"

I then jumped up and glided into the portal that ed me to a place with huge buildings and flashing lights.

"New York City."

Alright seriously, I hate this board system! :cmad:

I'll go mess with the HTML of my last Sam & Max post another time, I got class and can't deal with it right now ...

Mario - savior of the Mushroom Kingdom, one of the greatest heroes of the video game world - is now washing dishes at an Italian restaurant to pay off his debt.

Ironic, no?

My blackout post was my original idea for a first post so I'm going to use it.

Speaking of Master Chief, I would love to see this:

Oh and I finally fixed up my Sam & Max post (was definitely a pain!).

Still waiting......

Trickster Application!

Name of character and game that he/she/it appears in:
The Trickster/Woodsie Lord/Honey-maker/Leaf-man from Theif: The Dark Project

Powers/skills/inventory of the character:
iiii'm not too sure what exactly he can do...he's a nature god though, and he likes to spread discord and confusion throughout humankind in some weird plan to revert the whole world to the stone age. So basically a lot of power focusing on the natural world. Also that ridiculous pagan dialect....

Will your character be bringing any other characters, items from their game with them?:
No and no.

Why have you chosen this character?:
Thief is another of my favorite series and since I didn't feel like playing Garrett, the Trickster is second best

Can you provide any need-to-know information about your character for players with no knowledge of that character?
I think I covered most of that in the powers section, but in the Dark Project he tries to take over the giant City that's basically the center of civilization in a chaotic world by overrunning it with all these abominations and evil. He used to terrorize humans before they settled down and society developed, being the horror in the darkness that humans eventually overcome with fire and steel and all that good ol' industrial stuff. He is defeated just before his plan comes to fruition because Garrett (the protagonist) replaces this gem he's using for some massively destructive ritual with a trap, which kills him. For the sake of my character it actually banishes him to some void-like realm.

Please provide your sample "blackout" post if your character comes from a different time to the present setting:
The great Woodsie Lord realized in horror that the Eye had been replaced...Garrett, the tricksie manfool! It was his doings in darkness that had ruined the glorious return of the nights long and freshest air.

The false Eye grasped the very being of the old god and wrenched him out of his body, leaving naught but a corpse, a shell behind. The Lord floated through a darkness inside the false Eye, a void inside a stone, cursing the triumph of the manfools and their forces of Order. After indeterminable time, seconds or eons, none could know, he felt a presence or reality. It tugged him through the void, dragging him closer and closer to sweet release, until he felt himself pulled through a great barrier...and then...Sweet cool air rushed across his towering satyr body, the very one he had left behind when he was defeated.

With a heavy thud the Trickster landed on a carpet of soft grass. His eyes opened to the familiar heavens but...something was wrong. There were stars, but they were not familiar and there were so few...he noticed the grass was not wild and free...it was tamed, as if in a city garden. He was surrounded by trees in what seemed to be a forest, but it was not a true wood. It was organized, planned.

Towering in the distance were great Man towers...the sounds of a city whispered across his ears. "This will not do," the Woodsie Lord growled, "Treeses bound and grasses sheared! Beasts in hiding, vines forced down! Rise to me, I call thee out, out, OUT!" He roared into the dark park. A light buzz and a whirling gust of wind flowed through the checked plants, which twisted and grew, becoming the chaotic tangles they were meant to be. "Yesss..." The Trickster's tale twitched with satisfaction, "Me-thinks your days of shear-fear and slaving to the manfools are over..." he rumbled as he melted in to the now-sinister shadows.

A Central Park grounds keeper's eyes rolled back in his head as he fainted from the sheer terror of the towering Trickster's return. His unconscious body fell back lightly into the bush he had found himself observing from.

Aaand just out of curiosity, has anyone here actually played Thief?

You're all approved but Xn0 I'm going to have to ask you again give your character a font or color.

Well Names it seems that you have found a way to make us laugh and find a way to get rid of the inactive characters in this RP. Great job.
