I caught Mario fever recently, and noticed my favourite character wasn't on the roster. Since I'm out of the Gotham RPG, I thought I'd sign up as him! So:
"Get Violent" Video Game RPG Application


Name of character and game that he/she/it appears in: Yoshi (Various Mario games)

Powers/skills/inventory of the character: Yoshi has a long tongue that he uses to eat things and hit enemies. He can also jump on enemies such as Koopas to take them out. He has a Go-Kart to drive, too.

Will your character be bringing any other characters, items from their game with them?: A few other Yoshis.

Why have you chosen this character?: See reasons stated before app.

Can you provide any need-to-know information about your character for players with no knowledge of that character?: Yoshi is a small, green dinosaur-type creature and friend of Mario and Luigi. He rescued them as babies and has been at their command ever since. He is also their driver.

Please provide your sample "blackout" post if your character comes from a different time to the present setting:
As I wander through the trees and bushes of the little island where I live, I wonder where my green and red masters Mario and Luigi have gone. I have been trying to call them for a while now, but they have disappeared! I don't like it, I'm slightly scared. Then my nose picks something up. I smell Goombas!

<"I smell you nasty creatures! Come out!"> I say to them. The bushes rustle and they jump out. The silly little mushroom things jump out. Goombas are evil, I don't like them. Then some Koopas show up too. These are little turtle things. They come and prepare to attack. I can handle them. I can take them-

What? The place shimmers and I find my self in a different jungle. I follow the path and find myself at a weird alien place with tall concrete buildings. Then I see a horrifying kart thing! It's big an metal and scary! I dart away and find something I'm very happy to see! My Kart!

Let's all remember now, that place isn't something you just go running through anymore. Or go near, really. I'm not trying to force interaction out of anyone, but for continuity's sake, let's keep the Trickster in mind. And again, anyone up for some interaction with him?

I think everyone has pretty much forgotten about The Trickster (I haven't!)

Theres a bit of a problem in general with how "destruction" has been interacted with. We've had Kerrigan causing tear apart a research facility in order to get Red's Charizard, The Trickster take over Central Park, The Spider Mastermind destroying near to a whole district. Zerg, Undead, Demons, etc. are about, and its taken the military this long to react?

Luckily I brought the military into the mix, but still: I think some players need to realize that there has been CHAOS across the city. There should be people chanting that the apocalypse has come, people rushing stores and getting rations, traffic jams as people move out of the city ... stuff like that. It needs to be like the movie Cloverfield (only actually GOOD :P).

Of course, some of us have different arcs going. Sam Fisher and Lara Croft are a prime example. I don't necessarily want them to be lumped in with the military situation (they got their own thing going, plus they're not anthromorphs ).

What would be best? I think us with villains (or anyone in general) need to make a nice list of past events, and what parts of the city have been effected drastically by the villains. It'll be especially helpful for new members, so they won't need to read through months of posts either.

Oh, and I might start an interaction with The Trickster by brining Sam & Max to investigate. Central Park's huge change in scenery should be an eyesore, and they should be on the case! They just need to get out of the grips of the military right now though ...

If you want a serious character (most likely), I could bring Kerrigan instead. She is hunting for resources suitable for her Zerg, and like I think I said a long time ago: I could see the two teaming up. The Zerg are fully biological, and could help further The Trickster's plans of destroying the city, as well as her own.

I actually think the giant battle has gone far enough. I think everyone who is involved should make a few more post than we have the military count there losses and pull out for the time being.

I guess this arc has gone on for awhile though. As long as there is a well-explained and believable way that we all (or at least some/most of us) can escape, then I'm up for that.

Sounds good to me...but has anybody, or Sonic at least, acknowledged that Shadow's gone missing? I'll try and get that Falcon post up tonight, but no promises.

Well I didn't mean they just leave I meant something more realistic. But my main point is that we stop this in some way. I think it's been going on for way too long.

If anyone can think of a way for Sonic to get his hands on an emerald, I could have him chaos control everyone to safety. I personally don't like the isea of everyone getting captured. These are the greatest heroes in video-games for Pete's sake, the military can't do $hit against a force like that. New York would sooner be torn apart.

Shadow has an emerald, but since he got captured by Eggman, it's probably in his possession by now.
