IC - Samus Aran

Samus Aran stared out the front of her gunship. He wouldn't get away this time.

Ahead of her, a large space pirate vessel dodged asteroid after asteroid. "Come on, Ridley. You know me better than to try and out dodge me. What are you doing?"

She had just finished cracking down on another infestation of space pirates on a remote planet for the Galactic Federation, but Samus had decided to make it personal. She knew that Ridley needed to be killed.

The space pirate's ship fired round after round of plasma blasts at Aran's gunship, but nothing could shoot down Samus. She dodged the rounds effortlessly, then unleashed a large power shot from her own cannon towards the filthy pirate scum. The blast knocked the ship into a spiral toward a large asteroid.

"I've got you now, Ridley."

The ship spun into a large hole in the asteroid, and Samus sped her gunship forward. There was no way she was going to miss this. As she moved into the hole, something happened. Something Samus had not expected. Her gunship began to shake.

"What the hell?"

Bright, white light shone through the front of the gunship until it filled the entire cockpit. The last thing she could see before she blacked out was a blue and green planet.

********************************************

Samus woke up, dazed. She had crash landed, that much was certain. She quickly ran diagnostic on her suit. No damage, thank God. That always seemed to happen when she reached a new planet.

She checked the gunship's status. Only minor damage. The ship was designed to repair itself in such instances, so it would be up and running soon.

Normally, the gunship would have told her what planet she was on by now. The Galactic Federation had, as far as they could tell, mapped out nearly the entire universe. Some of it had not yet been explored, but they had mapped out everything. This time, however, the gunship blinked an error message.

Samus went to the door and stood in the small pod which carried her up to the top of the gunship and out into the new world she had discovered. She looked around at this strange world. All around her was stadium-style seating. Thousands of life-forms gathered around the spot where she had landed.

"Some sort of gladiator-type arena? I don't think that the Galactic Federation even know that humans live this far out here."

Samus turned around to see her projected onto a large TV screen. Underneath the screen, a blinking banner showed a message.

Go Yankees, go!

Samus turned back, looking at the mass of people who had nothing but the look of fear in their eyes. "Now how the hell are you going to get yourself out of this one, Samus?"

KRATOS
The God Of War

"Ahahahahah!" Kratos laughed heartily. Seeing that Zeus had sent him an opponent.

samus1qs.jpg

"This is Zeus' greatest challenge? A flash of light and a glowing suit of armor?!" The warrior shouted, heaving his blade from the cabbie's head.

Kratos leapt atop the metal chariot in which the new challenger had come.

"Prepare to face your doom, Zeusian servant!" Kratos cried, readying his blades. "For while you may have the power of the Gods on your side, I have the might of the Titans!"

"Psycho Mantis, former FOXHOUND member and a colleague. He's controlling the minds of these civilians, ordering them to his bidding, which at the moment appears to be destroying the two of us."

A possessed citizen snuck up on Liquid from behind, who quickly dispatched him with an elbow to the nose.

"The nanomachines keeping his powers at a certain level seem to have been nulified by our transportation to this world. He could kill us all with a single thought if he desired."

Pliskin tossed another man to the ground as it became obvious that the numbers of Mantis' mind-controlled soldiers was growing.

"I know Mantis, he's sadistic, he'll toy with us for a long time before ending our lives. That gives us an opportunity-"

Liquid kicked a man in the stomach as he approached with a knife. The man keeled over in pain.

"- his mask, Mantis wears a Gasmask. It filters the thoughts he hears and when he's without it the thoughts of everyone in the city will force their way into his mind. First things first, we need to find a way to shield ourselves from his mental attacks. I suggest we split up."

As the final group fell, Snake turned his attention to Liquid. "Got it." he tapped a small device on his chest. "My frequency is 14.11, call me if you get anywhere." cautiously, Snake slipped out of the alley, leaving his son behind. Now he had a mission, he had to stop Psycho Mantis. He could only hope he'd learn more of Liquid later, because right now, he wasn't completely sold on him.

Name of character and game that he/she/it appears in: Dr. Gordon Freeman from the Half Life series.

Powers/skills/inventory of the character: Gordon is just a man, no unique combat training or powers. BUT, he is an amazing natural leader (he becomes the leader of the whole Resistance without even speaking,) and with his HEV suit, a crowbar and a gun he can manage to kick some serious ass.

He also has very extensive knowledge of teleportation technologies, which no one in New York has.

Will your character be bringing any other characters, items from their game with them?: Gordon is going to have his HEV suit and the dark energy charged gravity gun (the inventory he had at the end of Half Life 2.) After being teleported to New York he will immediately find a crowbar, so I guess I'll just go ahead and add that to his inventory.
Three dropships full of Combine Overwatch Elite soldiers will also be sucked into the city.

Why have you chosen this character?: The Half Life series is one of my most favorite set of video games EVER, so Gordon Freeman is just my natural first choice.

Can you provide any need-to-know information about your character for players with no knowledge of that character? Gordon doesn't talk much. In fact, in the games he never speaks at all. He is known mostly for his heroism and ability to handle almost any situation presented to him despite the fact that his only specialized training was in the field of theoretical physics.

Also, for those of you who played the games, I decided to exclude Episodes 1 and 2. Gordon's adventures in New York will simply be picking up directly from the end of Half Life 2.

Please provide your sample "blackout" post if your character comes from a different time to the present setting: The Combine teleport had finally gone unstable after the last dark energy orb collided with it. Breen wasn't going to be making it out of the Citadel today. Gordon heard Alyx exiting the elevator behind him, just in time to see the murky view of the Combine homeworld that had appeared in the air evaporate. Breen's final pleas echoed across the open top of the Citadel, and his words continued to fall on Gordon's deaf ears, just as they had for the past few hours. Alyx was ecstatic for a moment and she turned to say something, but just as the words left her mouth the teleport erupted into a huge fireball...but it never reached them. Instead of expanding, the fireball stopped, Alyx froze, still shielding her eyes from the brilliance of the explosion. Time had simply stopped.

Then, that dreaded voice echoed through the frozen air. That man in the gray suit, Gordon's "employer," stepped out of the air again, just as he had done after the defeat of the Nihilanth, both saving and damning Gordon at the same time.

"Time, Dr. Freeman? Is it really that time again?" He said, appearing in the air just in front of Gordon...but something...jerked. Gordon's mysterious employer didn't seem to notice anything, but there was an indescribable feeling...as if Gordon's very existence was being tugged at, wrenched out of its place. The scene before him wavered and stretched as if it too were being tugged away, and suddenly a massive pull ripped Gordon's entire reality into nothingness. He floated for a moment, in darkness, and then everything came rushing back. His eyes adjusted for a moment and he noticed he was lying on his back in an alleyway, the G-Man's words still ringing in his ears and the Gravity Gun still in hand.

Please provide a picture of your character:

11909875523685454editedrp6.jpg

The dazed feeling Gordon had quickly dissipated as he looked around the alleyway he'd "landed" in. He pushed himself out of a pile of papers and garbage and stood up. To his left he saw the mouth of the alley which opened to the street...but there was something drastically different. There were people walking around in business suits, casual clothes, joggers...this definitely wasn't City 17, but it couldn't be anywhere else on Earth, the Combine had control of the whole planet! That tug must have been some sort of metaphysical event that even the G-Man couldn't comprehend. A scary thought indeed...

A sudden shout came from Gordon's right, from around a corner in the narrow passage. He hoisted the Gravity Gun and began to hustle towards the sound, but noticed a crowbar poking out of the alley shadows. He grinned a bit and decided the familiar tool would be a bit more subtle than the noisome gun, so he holstered it and dusted off the crowbar, then dashed around the corner.

He had expected something like a mugging at most, but the sight of a young blond man fighting off what looked like...shadows...over a girl's unconscious body was enough to throw him off, but only for a moment. He dashed forward and sank the hooked end of the crowbar deep into one of the four shadows' heads. It disintegrated around the bar, which caught the attention of the other three monsters. The other man took advantage of their brief pause, laying a few well disciplined blows on the next two as Gordon swung his weapon into the last.

The stranger's eyes darted over Gordon's shoulder as he opened his mouth to speak, noticing more creatures wriggling out of the shadows. The crowbar was going to be of less use on a pack of 4...5...6 of the beasts. The glowing Gravity Gun flashed into Gordon's hands and let out a powerful blue bolt. The monster at the front of the pack was sent barreling into the rest and the whole pack flickered with sparks of dark energy before they evaporated.

"Thanks," the man behind him uttered, sounding relieved. Gordon shouldered the Gravity Gun and adjusted his glasses, staring intently at the stranger he'd just helped.

Leon stared at the man in utter disbelief. He had appeared out of nowhere and dispatched those shadows with such ease. He sheathed his knife and put his hand out to shake.

"Thanks... The name's Leon.. you are??" He said as he eyed the mans gun. He had never seen anything like it.

IC - Samus Aran

Samus stared at the strange, half naked man. "Look, pal. I have no idea who Zeus is. I'm looking for Ridley."

The man scowled, then lunged forward screaming.

Samus jumped high into the air using her Hi-Jump Boots. He spiralled in the air and activated her ice beam, firing three shots at crazed man. "Don't make me hurt you, pal."

The entire crowd of people screamed in horror as the primal man's feet were frozen to the crowd. Samus turned to see the large screen, playing a replay of her previous move. Underneath was the headline "Alien robot attacks Yankee Stadium."

"Yankee Stadium?" She turned back to the man who was struggling to break free of the ice on his feet and raised her gunarm, switching to her missiles. "What the hell is going on around here, pal? You have until the count of three. One..."

Shadow looked out the office's window. This place-New York City, Shadow remembered it was called-it was huge. Filled to the brim with innocent people, like most cities. If Shadow left, the people would be completely defenseless. Turning around, Shadow walked towards Sonic and the mayor.

"I'm afraid I can't join you two on your little trip to this Washington place. I will stay here, and defend this city against Eggman and Metal. No people will die as long as I'm here."
Sonic nodded.

"Yeah, I was gonna suggest that."

He looked towards Bloomberg.

"You have anything I can use to keep in contact with Shadow?"

The mayor nodded and oushed a button on his intercom.

"Ms. Vale, bring up three audio-transmitters, please."

"Right away, sir."

Moments later, a young woman in a red dress walked in and handed Sonic and Shadow a headset.

"With those," the mayor replied, "we should be able to keep in contact no matter where we are in the world."

Sonic nodded.

The evil king stepped into the graveyard it was small with about twenty graves in it. This would do for the moment before he could build an army. He sensed someone behind him. He smiled and turned around.

"Hello my minions. Who do you serve."

There where four of them. Three cloaked men known as Acolytes. And a shade. They all said as if on cue. "Only, you mighty king. We entered the vortex with you and ended up here."

"Heh... Good. Now let us prepare for the destruction this world. What recourses do we have?"

"Not much great king. We only have enough to create a Necropolis and a Ziggurat. Although we can still summon without resources but it will take many hours without gold and lumber to fuel our magic."

"So be it. Create what you can."

"Thy bidding be done Master." They all gathered around the back or the grave yard and to summon the buildings.

acolyte.gif

You."
He pointed to the Shade. "Go out and see what recourses you can find. And any other information you can gather about this world. Be back in one hour."

"Yes Master." The Shade said as he disappeared into the distance. The good thing about Shades is that they can't be seen by the human eye.
He raised his hand and eight of the graves that surrounded him began to unearth them selfs. The body's of the dead arose and scampered forward to their new master. "Devour the dead that you find here so that you may become Ghouls to further serve your king."

Without a word the drug them self to the nearest grave and began to dig into the earth so that they may feast on the body that lies within.

The Lich King sat on a nearby bench. He holding his Frostmourne with both of his hands. Steam pouring off of the sword as the icy sword his the warm air. The King closed his eyes and began to plan his next move.

"Thanks... The name's Leon.. you are??" He said as he eyed the mans gun. He had never seen anything like it.

"Gordon Freeman," he kept the conversation short and quiet, as usual. Talking never seemed to be a necessity to him.

His eyes drifted down to the girl at Leon's feet, who had begun to stir.

"Well thanks again Gordon." He said as he went up to the girl. She wasn't breathing well. He picked he up in his arms, He than looked to Gordon and said. "Hey, I'm going to take her back to the hotel I'm staying in. I'll be able to call an ambulance from there. You're more than welcome to tag along if you want. Might need ya if those "Shadows" attack again."

Gordon nodded in agreement to Leon's request. It was better than wandering around aimlessly in...wherever this was.

"Where are we, exactly?" Gordon asked, looking around at the bustling city. It looked just like Earth had before the resonance cascade, but for that to be true he would have either had to be jerked into a parallel universe or through time. Judging by the slow teleport he'd experienced at Nova Prospekt though, time distortion seemed much more likely since he'd found himself here just after blowing up another active teleport.
"I don't know how I got here. I showed up in that alley just before you saw me."

"I don't know how I got here. I showed up in that alley just before you saw me...I think I sent myself back in time."

Leon stared at him speechless. Maybe some of the stuff he was hearing made since.
"You're in New York." He said as they walked people gave them strange stares. It wasn't everyday they saw two men with weapons carrying around and uncontious girl. But it wasn't everday Leon say girls fall from the sky, or met men who claimed to be from the future. And Leon had fought zombies and monsters in the past.
"So if you're from the future than that must be where this girl is from. I know this may sound crazy... Hell, this all sounds crazy. But she fell from the sky. When I went to the ally to see what had landed I saw here being attacked by those things. Thats about the time you showed up."

Gordon listened to Leon's explanation. It wasn't good to hear...it sounded vaguely similar to a resonance cascade if people were simply falling out of the sky. The girl certainly wasn't from Gordon's time, which could only mean she'd appeared from another dimension altogether. She would have valuable information once she woke up.

He stopped suddenly, peering through the front window of a shop at a TV display that was playing local news. A clip of an anthropomorphic hedgehog crashing into an entertainment show was being looped with footage of an orange dragon and gruesome murders and...it went on, each clip as alien as the next.

"Leon," he pointed to the display, "She didn't come from the future, not mine at least. Whatever's happening is dimensional, not chronological...it's out of my league."

Leon thought hard about what e had just heard. And came to but one conclusion. "You're some kinda scientist aren't you?? Ya know what where at the hotel. We'll talk about this when we get to my room."

Half an hour of security protacals later, and an IOU to the man up front they where in the his room. He laid the girl on a couch in the front room. He and Gordon went to the next room over. He closed the door and pressed some buttons on a small control penal behind a desk.

"Sorry about all that. Standard procedure when the Presidents daughter is in the next room. We're lucky we got them to keep your weopons." He took a seat at the table. He motioned for Gordon to sit in the chair across from him. "So whats your story??"

"Hm," Gordon smiled a bit, "My story...I'll start at the beginning."

OOC: At this point Gordon explains the events of the Half Life series, up to the explosion of the Citadel and his appearance here. This post would be absurdly long if I explained it dialogue, so...wikipedia's a faaantastic tool if you need to know the story :]

"I don't know if I'll be able to make it back to my dimension...teleport technologies were undeveloped at best at this point in time. And if this is another dimension...well the best I can do is help here." There was something seriously wrong here.

IC - Mewtwo

Iggy stood trapped in a back alley way. Mewtwo had killed five of his Pokemon, and only had one left. "Go, Golduck! Use your Hydro Pump attack!"

02___Golduck_by_akelataka.jpg

Golduck emerged from the Pokeball with a squak and fire a powerful Hydro Pump at its foe.

Mewtwo chuckled. Using his psychic powers, he reversed the Hydro Pump back at Golduck, knocking in into the brick wall behind it. He didn't talk this time. There was no time for that. He could sense another Pokemon Trainer in the area, and had to kill this one quickly. Mewtwo raised his hand and a large dumpster lifted off the ground and smashed into both Iggy and Golduck, killing them both. He then created the illusion of a brick wall over the area where the bodies were. He'd come back to deal with the mess and make sure nobody ever found them.

He focused for a moment on his new target. Four Pokemon. Fire, grass, water, and dark types. Not long in this world at all. There was something about the dark pokemon in the trainer's team. It was the Umbreon from the Eevee trainer's team.

Mewtwo smiled. This was going to be a good end to the day.

"Shots fired on the rooftop. An assault in progress at Aesir Plaza, repeat assault in progress."

"It's a war zone down here. 10-85 dispatcher, need additional units now, additional units now! Officers in danger. Officers in danger."

"10-5 please repeat. 10-5 all units, all units, emergency, officer in danger, Aesir plaza repeat Aesir Plaza all units..."

They were all dead. The final gunshot was an exclamation
mark to everything that had led to this point. I released
my finger from the trigger, and then it was over.
The lights of the city burned into my skull like a hot brand, a never ending see of torment and smiling murderers laughed at me from inside my mind. They'd won in the end, the victorious dead. I felt the area around me move, like a sickly carousel ride I wanted to get off. The boys in blue behind me transformed into sickly sweet colors of yellow and white, like a parallel version of New York, the buildings around me did the same thing, twisting and turning into nothing.

Suddenly I was home. I didn't like it, the air smelled too sweet the children looked too happy like a summers day personified into a walking talking infant. This wasn't home, this was hell.

Sonic nodded.

Shadow took the audio transmitter, examined it, and also nodded. "Looks like it's time for you to hit the road. Don't get into too much trouble, I can't save you every time." Shadow turned his attention to the mayor. "You're in safe hands, mayor. He's not me, but Sonic is a very capable protector." Still clutching the transmitter, Shadow walked toward the door, but before he left, he turned around. "One more thing, Sonic-just because we're working for the same cause, doesn't mean were friends."

Before he turned around, Shadow saw a sly smile on Sonic's face. Ignoring it, he sped away from City Hall.

"A fr-... Somebody we can trust. Anyway, you ready?"

The mayor nooded and the twoo left for the helicopter located on the roof of City Hall.

Jack Varner gazed with fear into the eyes of the creature who was now ripping his father to pieces. Blood was everywhere and Jack was too afraid to even move.

"Why? Why are you doing this? I gave you what you wanted."

Metal looked to the snivelling young man.

"Because I enjoy the sight of your organs and blood. I am Sonic the Hedgehog."

"You keep saying that. 'I am Sonic the Hedgehog'... Why?"

"Because I want your blood."

Metal reached into the torso of the man he had mutilated and pulled out his entrails. Then he looked to Jack.

"Eat them."

"Wha-what?"

Metal moved closer to Jack, holding his father's entrails. Then he held them in front of the boy's face.

"Eat them."

Tears rolled down Jack's eyes as Metal force-fed him his father's intestines.

"Two, three!" Kratos cried, counting ahead of his foe. He threw his flaming blades of the titans into the air above him and heaved them down on the ice gripping his feet.

"You are no match for me! I have defeated a GOD!" The warrior shouted, hurling a blade towards Samus.

Sonic stepped out of the helicopter as it landed on a helipad near the White House.

"So... Where's this 'Graham' guy?"

"He's on the road getting more voters. But we need to speak to the Secretary of Defense first."

Sonic nodded.

"You're gonna need all the defense you can get."

Bloomberg gave Sonic a worried look as the two stepped into the White House.

IC: CAPTAIN FALCON

Frantically, Captain Falcon began initiating all of his racer's emergency programs. Seconds after he started up the boost, there was a flash of light, and he started falling from an unknown sky. All he could see ahead of him was water, and it was closing in. But that wasn't his only stroke of bad luck-none of the Blue Falcon's emergency systems were working. He could already feel the water pressure crushing him alive. Shaking off the thought, Falcon began to set engine to medium power, adjusting his thrusters, and deactivated the boost. "Come on, come on," he muttered. Feet away from the water, he pulled up on the steering wheel, and actually began driving the Blue Falcon on top of the water. Unlike most F-Zero racers, he tried to make sure his could ride on any terrain.

Sighing heavily, Falcon looked forward. He saw a large group of skyscrapers on an upcoming island. They looked like nothing he'd ever seen before, a design not used on any planet he had ever been to. Making a few more adjustments, he began hovering the vehicle slightly off the water. Pressing hard on the accelerator, he sped toward the island. Jerking up on the steering wheel, the Blue Falcon made it onto the land. Falcon instantly saw a black, tarred road and drove onto the right side. These roads were occupied by strange wheeled vehicles. He slowed his speed down so he wouldn't hit them. They moved much slower than any vehicle where he came from. The one in front of the Blue Falcon came to an instant halt. Falcon had no time for such nuisances, and began to back up his racer. But, he noticed that another one of these strange vehicles was right behind him. Frustrated, he found out that the contraptions were all around him. Where am I?, Falcon thought.

From a nearby vehicle, he heard a voice yell, "Damn New York traffic jams!" Falcon pondered what the man meant as he waited for the vehicles to move.

Samus shook her head. "Alright, its a fight you're looking for. I can give you that!" She switched to her missiles and fired a super-missile straight at Kratos' chest, sending the man flying through the air and skidding across the green turf. A man in a cap and striped uniform, holding a strange glove in his hand, ran off as Kratos landed next to him.

Samus switched quickly to her Scan Visor, trying to find a weakness. Only a small amount of information was available.

"Being the son of Zeus and a mortal woman, Kratos has the powers of a demi-god which are vast superhuman strength and durability as well as being swift and agile, but these powers were not realized by Kratos until a later time. He has also been bestowed various and powerful godly abilities."

Samus chuckled a bit. "You never told me you think you're a God." She then activated her Power Ball mode and became a small ball. She charged up and fired herself forward, smashing into Kratos' skull, making a loud crunching noise as she made contact with his nose.

As I continued down this concrete path towards the 'library' where the merchant told me to go to learn about this area I have found myself in. I was running as fast as I could, until a boy a little younger than me appeared. He looked at me engaged to fight. I withdrew only my Master Sword. He took out what seemed to be a small, red and white bomb.

"Nidoking! I choose you!" the boy cried as he threw the bomb to the ground and it exploded. A purpulish monster then emerged from the explosion of light.

I walked through the colorful neighborhood of smiling faces, like a red sea of contentment parted by gun beneath my coat. I wasn't like these people. Sure, we looked the same, same species, same being but something smelled fishy, and it wasn't the harbor.

As I looked around my face turning to that of confusion at being transported halfway across New York into some twisted bizzaro world, I wanted out. Nevertheless I approached a young teen, not before readying my hand in my coat, this kid was likely to pull a gun on me rather than talk to a cop.

"Hey Kid."
I asked in a wary yet powerful tone.
"Yeah mister?" He said. I didn't like his attitude, he was keeping me sweet, talking me up. This kid had balls, I knew that any second a group of his armed friends would come crawling out of the woodwork and riddle me with hot lead. So I quite playing games. I whipped out a gun and shot the young, more than likely drug addict in the kneecap. He let out a scream of agony as I swiveled round to face what was probably an army of drugged up lunatics with smiles on there faces shouting obscenities. Yet there was nothing there, no perps, just screaming kids. Was it possible that this was a good neighborhood? No, I refuse to believe the impossible. This guy was a 13 year old drug baron, had to be, nobodies innocent.

"Your gonna tell me where I am, and then I'm going to leave you here." My voice was calm, hardly threatening, I just wanted information, if id have wanted more I would've shot him twice. Standard procedure. Everyone in New York new that. Anyone who ran with the mob new my face and what I'd done to get to this point, what had happened. Yet this kid just kept screaming for someone called Mommy, more than likely a Boss of his. A higher up, a stepping stone in a a river of sleaze. Sirens came round the corner and police got outta the car like fallen angels in blue uniforms, as corrupt as the very foundations as the city.

Luigi has taken the day off, so Mario is left alone to deal with all the work. He isn't happy about it, but he loves his brother and respects Luigi's need for relaxation. Mario receives word of a client, so he grabs his plumber tools and heads out.

Mario reaches a large castle. It reminds him of Bowser's fortresses. "Hello? It's-a me, Mario - from Mario Brothers Plumbing!" The door creaks open. Mario is hesitant at first, but he decides to let himself in.

"Hello?"

That's when he sees it - a giant pipe. Mario has seen a lot of pipes in his life, but this one is different. This pipe...calls to him.

"What do we-a have here?" Mario asks himself. He looks around. He knows that he shouldn't touch something without asking first, but he can't resist. He leaps into the pipe, and it's a strange sensation.

Mario's traveled through many pipes, but it's never felt like this before. When he pops out, he lands face-first in sewage.

"Yuck!"

Mario looks around and sees an expansive city. It's like nothing he's ever seen before.

"Where am I?"

Mario isn't sure that he likes this strange, new world. It's nothing like the Mushroom Kingdom. It seems so...cold. So informal. Nonetheless, he ventures out into this new world to explore.

He soon comes across something that makes him happy. If this is what this world was like, Mario could really get used to it!

Mario's Fine Italian Cuisine

"Spaghetti!"

Mario eats his fill of fine Italian food. He swears that he's never felt so satisfied in his life. The waiter hands him his bill.

Mario blushes sheepishly. He realizes that he doesn't have this world's currency. So he decides to take a shot. He hands the waiter some coins that he's had left over.

"In Toad We Trust?" the man asks, reading the inscription aloud.

Mario turns as red as his shirt. "Heh heh...oops."
