The HULK Thread - Part 1

Forget Korg, Hulk was the funniest/most adorable character in this movie.

His entire argument with Thor was gold.

I thought that scene was perfectly at the level Hulk needed to be. The "Thor go again" line was wonderful.

People were worried about this turning into a Hulk movie but it was just enough of him, as he was only really in about two major scenes. They used him and Strange just enough, as it should be.

I was just worried abour him getting the money shot

I hope that Hulk having registered so much as a character because he talked isn't lost on the Marvel execs. Gimma a Ruffalo Hulk solo already!! Bite the bullet, pay Universal whatever and fast track that ****! If anything the team is self evident. Waititi directing a Hulk film with Kyle and Yost writing and Mark R. starring.

Hulk better wait his green a** in line until after Thor 4 for Taika's services.

Haha, I was definitely laughing along with Hulk.

IIRC it was after Thor hit the invisible wall as he tried to leave Hulk’s quarter.
Made me chuckle too.:woot:

Was hoping Hulk would have a scene with Korg and Miek, Shane they didn’t considering how close they were in the comics.

Overall though just loved Hulk in this. I really hope he doesn’t go back to a mute in IW.

I don't think there's any risk of Hulk regressing since both Feige and, especially, Ruffalo have talked a lot about how Hulk has a full solo film arc spread over the 3 films Ragnarok, IW and A4.

So I guess we can assume Sakar has oxygen.

Thought this was the best Hulk outing yet. We got a good balance of Banner and Hulk. Hulk was actually a character and not just a special effect.

I had forgotten about them saying that, gives me more hope this Hulk is here to stay.

The CGI of him in his apartment room was noticeably off in spots. He looked waaaaaaay better in the arena.

I really liked that exchange when Thor told him Earth hated him - was kind of a little "awe poor Hulk" moment. Really changed the perception of the raging beast stereotype.

Universal will never play nice. Weren't they the ass hats that had Namor and didn't even bother to make a movie?

I was disappointed with Hulk being so childlike. I assumed that his ability to verbalize meant that he would be smarter, and i was hoping for more of a Green Scar personality. Maybe IW will have something better for him to do.

Ya, it's probably a future development kind of thing. Remember it was his first time being Hulk for a prolonged period of time.

Hulk had been in that form only for 2 years so it kinda makes sense. Even though he is a beast of a man it's not like he is an adult, he hasn't really grown in that form. Personally i thought that his characterization was very well done and he was sweet and endearing while being the beast he really is.

So Hulk was supposed to go from barely talking to Green Scar intelligence in between Age of Ultron and Ragnarok?

Lol what in the world.

Hulk was Hulk for 2years very likely he didn't actually speak for months so he may have just learned to be verbal for a year. That is pretty good, and will get better if him and Banner coexist. I doubt Hulk talked to people he didn't trust all his language probably came from Valkyrie.

Why not? Hulk's incarnations don't all evolve from childlike intelligence. I assumed that the gladiator
armor and tweaked look meant that we were getting a different personality completely. It's long overdue.

I think we might see Hulk developing like a child gradually into a more mature version through future films.

I'm doubtful now. I was hoping to see versions of Joe Fixit, the Professor, or the Worldbreaker, but Marvel Studios seems wary of letting Hulk stray too far from his general perception as a simpleton.
