It looks great in the right lighting.
The shot of him walking down the hallway in the new suit looks great, its looking sleeker and more refined and less over designed like the original cowl was I think.
We briefly also see the new suit (mask) at 1:38 of the new trailer.
It looks good from side profile. Overall an improvement and i'm looking forward to seeing more of it.

I wouldn't like the DD on the suit. It's one of those things that works in the comics but probably wouldn't in live action, at least not without the risk of looking cartoonish.

Despite being outlandish in some aspect it's more "grounded" in others.
Character wise knowing Matt, a guy who only adopted a new costume to prevent getting continually sliced up, want to "brand" himself with the two D's?
The Devil motif overall is a bit outlandish but it's supposed to be somewhat intimidating for criminals to see. Two D's? doesn't do much in that regards.
What if it's not a logo but a design element that sometimes resembles two Ds but could also be something else like zips or straps?
I agree, unless there's a story reason to add it, it's just superfluous. Murdock doesn't seem like the kind of guy who cares about branding that much. I could picture Melvin Potter adding it just because "why not". I just can't picture Murdock going "I don't think people are getting this devil vibe, I need more symbol"Have to agree with you. I can do without the DD's. It doesn't really fulfill anything other than pleasing fanboys. I can get behind making the suit closer to the comics but the logo isn't necessary.
Is the new mask (and suit?) a brighter shade of red? It looks like it in those promotional photos and in that hallway shot.
