TONY: "Jarvis...full power to thrusters!"

JARVIS: "Nnno! You...always bossin' me 'round....you...jerk! *hic* ...I...I'm sorry, Tony...I didn't mean that. I love you, man!!"

:lmao: JARVIS Goes to Rehab

The Movie Fest website says that Marvel will be showing stuff (IM3) today...

It was shown, and the same stuff from SDCC. Someone who attended says that they were told to "turn off their phones and the security was pretty tight," but "there is a possibility that it will be leaked."

God damn it. If I went to one of these events I wouldn't be a little p*ssy and not film it. Whens the trailer gonna hit? I need to see some footage!!!!!!

taking footage is quite very risky and they will probably kick the recorder out instantly and he/she will miss the footage or any future ones....
but I realllly want to see the footage and Freshman's comments has made my hopes up

isnt there supposed to be footage to be shown tomorrow sunday sept 9 too?
i hope there is one and it gets leaked

Not the trailer, but I found this. Nothing major

The color in these promo pics looks actual gold instead of the creme color of the actual suit at Comic-Con.

I never liked the idea of how the Extremis bad guy can so easily hand Iron Man's ass to him. The Extremis just takes the elements in the human body and rewrites them. It doesn't add any elements. It's an interesting idea of how basic elements could be recombined and create a deadlier species. But a human being, no matter if its basic elements are rewritten (and not added to) can suddenly dismantle Iron Man who has taken on beings such as the Hulk and Thanos.

I don't mind Tony getting beaten by a bad guy and then having to tweak his armor or technique to beat the bad guy. It makes sense. But for Tony to totally rewrite his body just to stop 1 guy is a giant leap in the pattern of what makes his character. It's having the character make a gigantic leap to get him to somewhere the writer, Warren Ellis, wanted him to be at the end of the storyline, ie a man that literally is part computer. I always felt this robbed Tony of what made him unique in the stable of superheroes. He's a normal guy (albeit with super resources) going toe-to-toe with highly-enhanced individuals.

We'll see how IM3 turns out, though. Despite my disliking Extremis as a device and my natural hatred for nano-technology in fiction (they're omnipotent in stories and can do whatever the story requires them to), I have faith in Shane Black. If Tony is using drones (potentially way too similar, even in reverse, to the end of IM2) to fight the bad guy(s), I would have preferred him to remote control his previous armors to fight Fin Fang Foom, while he himself is fighting Mandarin. Of course, it remains to be seen how IM3 unfolds.

let's get real now.

Hulk, sure.

But Thanos is on a whole different level

I keep forgetting tht this already deep into production and is coming out next year. :wow:

I'm pretty sure we're not gonna see the footage from yesterday or today d:

He's Anthony Edward Stark, super-genius, he builds super-weapons IN A CAVE, FROM A BOX OF SCRAPS, he masters new sciences overnight, he hacks the secrets of the most secretive organization in the world for fun, he is the goddamned Iron Man and controlling 40 armors at once isn't a challenge, it's Tuesday!

and Tuesday night he's got a date with a supermodel

That's the very reason the Hulkbuster armor exists though, isnt it - because Tony's normal armor cant go up against the Hulk? Otherwise, why feel the need to create the Hulkbuster armor.....

Iron Man did beat the Hulk once in his classic red and gold armour by channelling all his power into a single punch. However, it did cause his circuits to overload and his armour froze up afterwards.

Which, amusingly, is better than any of his Hulkbuster suits have ever done. Tony may be a genius, but his judgement is often not the best.

That's because the Hulk buster suit tries to match force with force, which is the Hulk's thing. He shouldn't try to beat the Hulk on Hulk's own terms, or else he'll always lose. He should beat him using other methods and using his wits.

I wasn't aware of this until today. If anyone wants to brush up on their Extremis arc check out this motion comic:

I'm a huge fan of the concept, but less of a fan of the execution. Not sure why, maybe its the art. And the villain is so dumb. But the motion comic is still pretty entertaining.

I think the Hulk that Tony beat in his classic Iron Man (when his armor froze up after) turned out to be a robot and not the actual Hulk. I could be wrong, though. Despite IM's rise in popularity, his power levels just don't seem to be as high as they were in the past. This is particularly odd, since his armor should be getting progressively more powerful.

I think they're going slow with his armor progression, which is fine by me. No need to overpower him too quickly.
