I agree they aren't necessary but done right they'd be amazing, just imagine that Batfleck shot above happening as he is confronting a criminal and suddenly his eyes started glowing a soft white light as he slowly advances on the perp.

I would welcome a shot of Batman's silhouette where the only thing that seems alive from him are the glowing lenses.

We kinda got that in BvS from the LexCorp. security cam.

I still wish we'd have gotten a pov from the guards sequence where he is picking them off in the dark one by one where with the last guard being the only time we see Batfleck right before the guard goes down. A sequence like that would have given a nice 2nd act action sequence boost.

what's the expected budget for this? Surely no lower than 250 million right?

I loved the JL trailer, and most on-line reviews were pretty positive. Of course this was before the switch-over, but I have as much faith in Whedon as Snyder, so I'm still psyched!

I hope the new trailer hints at the story even though we already have an idea of what it will be. Also, really looking forward to footage from Aquaman. Would be surprised if we don't get a First Look tease this Comic Con.

I am 'fearing' the description mooted about of the new trailer, by the sounds of things, give a huge amount away in terms of plot points. Going to steer clear.

Don't worry, that synopsis is fake. Trust me. They haven't even begun cutting the SDCC trailer yet, they'll probably start editing that a week or two before the con.

???

When the Justice League trailer was released, James Gunn said when asked about it:

"I saw it a looooong time ago. I really like it".

I think these trailers are ready couple of months before they release them.

That just makes we want to see the JL and Avengers cast up on stage together even more. Sell tickets, give the cash to charity, whatever, it's just something that should happen. When I was a teenager immersed in all things Marvel and DC the dream was always getting the universes, not just occasional single hero films, but the shared universes of both companies up on the big screen.

And now... Here we are. It would be an amazing moment to see the actors and creative teams together in one place celebrating the ascendancy of super heroes in the pop culture.

I know... Pipe dream. Still... Just imagine?

100% truth.

Wasn't he talking about the one released back in March?

Edit: Nvrm

I'd prefer to have cyborg in his dcyou/solo book appearance. Although I really the look he has right now in the animated movies.

I....guess i stand corrected but that doesnt make sense to me though. I would imagine that the trailer footage would be as up to date as possible in terms of footage, special effects, CGI etc which is all in continuous post production.

How long until they reboot the animated universe to comply with Rebirth? I'm over the new 52 stuff. And I want to see these new suits in animation.

That they would use some of those costumes on the cover of a collection of the animated movies makes me think they have to be heading toward something soon.

If I had to guess, JL will end up more along the lines of MoS in terms of reception. Negative leaning critically and positive leaning for audiences, but polarizing overall. This will be considered a success for Snyder, but disappointing as a follow up to WW and will standout as the lone CBM "failure" this year. I don't think it'll be as toxic though.

"Snyder, with help from Whedon, crafts a narrative that attempts to course correct the failures of DC films past. Unfortunately, it goes too far in this new direction, ultimately missing the mark on what makes this genre work. Still, a vast improvement for a Snyder and a sign that things are at least heading in the right direction."

That's how I see a lot of reviews reading. I can't see them being overwhelmingly negative though, as that's starting to play itself out.

The thing is, we all know what to expect. We have been through it all. It would be very disingenious to pretend to be shocked when JL gets mixed reviews from critics.

At this point my enjoyment is of most importance and I want this movie to do well in the BO just for Snyder. He deserves a win, after all hes been through.

Oh come on guys, a little super advanced preview for the bald critics, throw an after-party, have a bit of a laugh with hairy Geoff and bald Joss, surprise appearance by Patty Jenkins and Gal with her baby, show some confidence in indirect bribery and humane influence guys :o
