I'm going to be at the Fox panel next year and I'm actually anticipating that panel more than I am both the Marvel Studios panel and the WB/DCE panel. Yup...

I plan to go to one as well. The question you have to ask is this thing comes out next year and we haven't heard a peep or even a teaser trailer from this thing. You have to wonder what are the plans with this thing.

I will be shocked BEYOND BELIEF if they show up at SDCC, July 2015. TOTALLY SHOCKED.

But on a serious note, why in the world is Miles Teller cast in so many romantic comedies? I looked it up, and he is in a ton. He is gonna be in a musical romantic comedy with Emma Watson. I am not saying he is ugly or anything, but does he really draw the ladies?

I am hoping you are incredibly shocked then, though I agree. By then they might have released a trailer, so they will have no hope whatsoever.

Though if I was marketing, I wouldn't release any footage. Can only hurt. Play up the sideshow act.

I'm not sure I understand the 0% on Rotten Tomatoes thing. If that's directed at the radical departure from the source material, non-comic fans don't really care about that. It does seem destined to be cinema non grata among fans, though.

It is directed at this being a bad idea and film in general.

At this stage, based on all we know about the film, it seems the very best the film could hope for is a Constantine situation where, years after the film is released, people will revisit it and say, "That was actually a pretty good film, I'd have enjoyed it more if they'd just made it an original story rather than trying to pass it off as a comic adaptation."

The best thing about this whole situation is that eventually, when Marvel does get the rights back, they will have a clean slate to do it correctly.

I'll check this out when it's at redbox and I've got a free code to use, I'm saving my money for the booze I'll need to sit through this in my own home.

Fantastic Fail? Asstastic Four?

Fox wouldn't spend tens of millions just for the purpose of sabotaging the F4 characters to the point that they would be too toxic for MCU? Would they?

I can't think of any other reason to explain anything related to this "movie".

Surfer, until today I believed they would absolutely churn out a quickie turd to hang onto the rights. But now? Outright sabotage is the only thing that makes sense. They can't take their ball and go home, because it isn't their ball. So they'll just pop it instead.
