The "Keep Hope Alive" (that the rights can revert back to Marvel) thread - Part 7

Kinda sorta. I like how he frames it as a failure on Fox's part to support his optimism with good news :D

Up until yesterday I was very open-minded with this but they have no interest in giving people like me a leg to stand on.

I may still see it but I can't be positive much about it anymore after the Doom reveal. We could still have a great movie but it won't be even a UFF adaption now

Well, looks like Fox are getting touchy...

Got a polite email today from 'dtecnet.com' informing me my website contained an image of the leaked thing bust, it was the copyright of Fox etc, and demanding I remove it immediately. The only pic they mentioned was one I had amended to look different, though there was another still on there with the original and an amended one together for easy comparison.

No skin of my nose to do remove them all (I had forgotten they were still there), just amused by it tbh.

Yeah, they've been especially touchy regarding the FF. Should read the write up from Den of Geek in the sticky on these forums. They mention getting similar treatment, even when it came to the synopsis that Trank publicly debunked.

The rights are fine, right where they are. at least wait until after FF2 comes out in 2017.

What amuses me is they have no such issues with anything else I've done for their films, like the DOFP movie posters I did using the old and new cast last year (or the comic styled one I did ages ago). Presumably those were considered as free promotion fan art, whereas my tweaks on the Thing bust does serve as criticism of their design from a leak they (apparently) never sanctioned.

Ah well, I had no intention of doing an FF movie poster manip like I did the for the Story one for this effort anyway, but that rather petty little tap on the wrist only serves to strengthen that particular resolve, lol :cwink:

That's counting your chickens before they've hatched. Fox had no interest in making this movie. You think they want to make a sequel?

LOL. Fox is really trying to hide this thing. They are going to have to step up their marketing budget and pay a lot more shills like Newsarama if they want to stem the tsunami of negativity that this film so richly deserves.

Even if the film is terrible, let's hope it makes enough money for a sequel!

I'm sorry but what the heck have we seen about this movie? Only bad news AFAIC.

Everything I've seen from this film so far, I like.

I suppose if they did a faithful 616 interpretation with high fantasy and sci-fi concepts and adventures and a proper monarchical Doom, you'd think it's the worst film ever?

No, but I wouldn't be very interested.

Well then congratulations because you're one of the few that actually has something to look forward to.

For the rest of us who actually grew up reading the Fantastic Four all information leaked to date has been disappointing at best, infuriating at worst.

Oh good grief - then I'm sorry - you are not a FF fan. AT ALL. With that statement, you've lost all credibility in my eyes.
Haha, yes I'm not a 616 FF fan! Ultimate Fantastic Four on the other hand.. I couldn't be more more pleased with what we are getting! :D

.........................................................................Well I'm sure you've got the attention you were looking for but at what cost?

I'm not seeking attention. I'm just expressing my opinion.
