Yes I know it's called the War suit or something but it will always be the Lexosuit to me. Now, do we want to see it? Personally I have a bit of trouble seeing Eisenberg doing anything physical, but I do love the Lexosuit and it's been quite active in the comics recently.

I'm still expecting the dude from Heartbreak high to be Metallo and offer up some physical threat to Batman and Superman, but I wouldn't be opposed to Lex donning his armor for the finale when no doubt Bats and Supes unite against him.

I don't know... My heart says sure but my head...

Maybe just tease it but leave it for another film. The suit in some ways could be a signifier of Lex slowly losing it after failed plan after failed plan when it comes to Superman. Like, "Gah!! I swear if another of these henchmen get stomped by that alien I might just put on a suit of armor and... HEY!! Maybe I should just put on a suit of armor?"

If it were Cranston or Phoenix playing Lex, then yeah, I could see it. But not on EisenLex.

Definitely Nay.

For me, that's not what Lex is about. He's the pinnacle of humanity (or so he thinks) and hates supes because he seemingly transcends humanity through the luck of landing on the right planet. Making him into a giant robot so he can fight in some nonhuman way takes away from that dynamic. Why should he hate supes for having what he can easily buy/invent?

In this movie: No

Somewhere down the line: Sure, as a last ditch effort by Luthor after everything else has failed.

I've never like the idea of Luthor being in some suit just to go toe to toe with Superman or whoever. To me what makes him a great villain is that his intellect compensates for his lack of being able to physically match Superman. And besides it's too Iron Man like IMO.

I can't picture Jesse Eisenberg, no matter how buff he gets, in this suit. Based on what we have seen of him so far, his Lex doesn't seem the frontline sort.

No.

The whole point of Lex is that he has an ideological battle with Superman. Superman cannot touch Lex without harming him, which only serves to prove Lex's fears/anxieties/etc. about a having a metahuman live amongst Metropolis.

Well, he invented the suit with his own genius and hard work. His god-given humanity. Superman was born/lucked into these abilities.

It's just not like his character to battle superman that way though. He hates superman because he can never be what he is or have what he has. The battlesuit allows him to have a bit of superman's strength and durability.

So then would you say that countless writers as well as DC as a whole have completely botched that aspect of Lex's characterization then?

Because he has been using that suit for quite some time now.

And amongst the creators of the comics the suit has it's defenders and those that aren't crazy about it too.

To me the type of man Lex is would not simply accept that he could not match Superman in every way and do everything in his power to even that playing field.

I wouldn't say they've botched it, but I would say I prefer stories that don't include it. I like physical battles as much as the next person, but not every villain/hero clash needs to involve them punching each other.

For me, it's the same issue you get sometimes with the Joker.

He obviously isn't a physical threat to Batman at all in the slightest, but as a creative, you have to invent ways for them to clash physically in order to come up with new stories.

I get the mental chess games, but those can wear thin on the audience just like always using brute strength as a plot device can.

I find that great chess-style mental battles in superhero movies are relatively rare. The last one I can think of is TDK. Usually, we get formulaic James Bond style villains or invasion plots. I would love if Lex/Supes had a Joker/Baleman style clash.

I like the Lexosuit, but I don't want to see it in this movie. Especially since Batman in going to be wearing an exosuit to fight Superman from the sounds of things.

I would love to see the Lexosuit. Why? Several reasons; as Luthor in his business suit he isnt a threat physically to Superman (unless he's holding Kryptonite) but in the Lexosuit he can go toe to toe with Superman. And to a crazy madman like Luthor I think he would be chomping at the bit to do that - to actually get into a physical altercation with this alien who thwarts him at every turn.

zod has worn a suit which didnt help alott but now batman is probably wearing one. now if theres another one in a suit too it starts to get annoying. this isn't iron man 4

No. The Lexosuit should only be used by a Lex who is physically intimidating in the first place.

A nerdy guy like Jesse in the suit is going to seem ridiculously stupid.

hell no!!!
it's just stupid!

Love to see it
...eventually though. Anything to make Eisenberg more badass.

I just can't see Eisenberg looking cool in the outfit. Besides, it's too Iron Man-ish.
