The Me Too Movement: The Sexual Harassment and Assault Thread

If I was anyone in a position to be invited to one of Singer’s parties in the first place, I’d have to nope out of that one. Not because I’m either young or twinky enough to be his type, but because going within a mile of one of those would just be foolish. You have to know when to keep someone at arm’s length.
Singer has been sketch for a while and had allegations go back against him since the mid nineties

Singer being involved with convicted sex offender Marc Collins-Rector's DEN scheme is dubious enough. DEN was essentially a cover for a organised underage sex ring by many accounts.
The Atlantic also digs into the story of the Digital Entertainment Network, a Hollywood start-up Singer invested in around the time he began shooting his first X-Men movie. Its goal, the Atlantic writes, was to produce “shows and movies for 14-to-24-year-olds, with an emphasis on stories for gay teens, and distribute them online.” The start-up’s C.E.O. was Marc Collins-Rector; his co-founder was Chad Shackley. Per the Atlantic, their relationship began when Collins-Rector was 32 and Shackley was 16. (In 2000, Collins-Rector was later indicted of transporting a minor, who was not named, across state lines for the purpose of sex; he fled the country and was a fugitive for almost two years, then was arrested in Spain. Authorities “discovered a cache of weapons and 8,000 images of child pornography in the villa where he was living,” the Atlantic notes. He was extradited to the U.S. and pleaded guilty to nine charges of transporting a minor across state lines for the purpose of sex.)

Per subsequent lawsuits, criminal complaints, and a federal investigation, the Atlantic notes, the Encino mansion where DEN was launched became “a party house where teenage boys were allegedly given alcohol and drugs, encouraged to have sex with older men, and in some cases raped.” Singer was not named in any of the suits, but there are accusers who allege that they were abused by him after being brought into the DEN fold.

Man, glad I am not interested in competitive Smash. It sounds like that community is toxic and dangerous. I have to hope there is stronger policing of interactions in Pokemon events...

What came to light now?

24 year old lady had a "relationship" with a 14 year old boy.

Did they play a match and just started talking or something? Seriously what the **** is wrong with people.

Rereading the testimony, it very much started with grooming.

The ****ing thing is that this is not the first instance of such behavior in the smash community. I think things are just blowing up in the fighting game community, it seems like.

Didn't something like that happen with a PokeTuber too.

Thought she wasn't arrested for so long because she had "information". Guess that's all gone now.

And it looks like the floodgates were opened for Smash and FGC accusations.

Jesus H Crackers.

As for Maxwell, I thought she was in hiding.

It does make one wonder if this is why Barr was eager to get a toady into SDNY.

I have no clue who these people are but read through the tweets. Sweet Jesus what is wrong with these people.
