Still, even if the status quo will eventually reassert itself, putting the idea down in the first place is stupid.

So then pretty much nothing should ever happen in comics because it's all going to be reverted back to normal. The Riddler should never be a 'good guy' because everyone knows at some point he's going to go rogue again, so they might as well of not written anything. Same with Penguin. Question Fans shouldn't care that Montoya is taking over, because the og question will return sometime down the road, so it wasn't even worth writing for.

In fact, they might as well go back to the 40's format where there wasn't much of an arching storyline and more of one in dones with a baddy of the month, right?

But there are some ideas that are just plain stupid to conceive of, really. The rumoured retcon of One More/Brand New Day is one of them. This is also one of them, at least for me.

In my limited experience,.. It appears to be consideration.

IE not talking about someone who cannot currently defend themselves.

If I'm wrong,.. the Mod can at least say that much.

Yeah, there is. I've seen people get banned themselves for bringing it up. Of course, it depends on how you approach the subject. "WTF was so and so banned! The Mods r teh suxxors!!" Might get you a vacation as well. In the end.....do we really care?

People get banned all the time from forums, even the "most liked" ones or the "nicest guys". Who gives a ****. He either comes back, or he doesn't. It's just another poster that broke a rule and got punished for it.

Hell, you guys have it easy on this site with how much flaming/offtopic **** is allowed. Go to a 'bigboy' site where the mods watch you like hawks and I guarentee you half the "cool" members here would be longggggggggg gone.

Gues what. I don't give a ****. If he got banned because he looked at a mod funny I wouldn't care. If he got banned because they randomly select 10 people a month to ban, I wouldn't give a ****. Calling my Grandpa makes no sense, unless you're trying to say that I've been around forums longer than you, which I probably have. But still, I've been to my fair share of forums where you can't say word one about anything negative without being IP banned.

Hell, one of my "second-home" forums went from a site where you could basically say what you want and do what you want short of posting warez/porn and no one really cared, to a site where you can't argue with the admins, you must basically suck their teet or be banned. And this happened overnight. Lost a lot of good men that night, but **** happens. It's a ****ing forum. If you care so goddamn much that you have to hold a little nugget of info like "the real reason why someone was banned" over other people, then you have a serious problem.

Also, regardless of what you know, the main reason he was banned was probably because he broke some rule, and his friends/him go off about how he "didn't do anything" and "didn't deserve this". I've seen tens of hundreds of people banned on sites, and I've personally banned plenty to know that they'll always make up some excuse as to why they were banned as opposed to manning up to what they did.

Yeah, those forums are ****ing ******ed and boring to be a part of, because you can't have any fun. I've been there too. Half the reason I lost interest in Metallica was because all the best Metallica sites have *****ebag mods, not least the official site.

I don't even know the guy. I think we vaguely don't get along well, if we interact at all. I couldn't point you to a single thing I remember the guy saying. I'd just be willing to bet that he didn't deserve it.

You know what I'd like to see? Is Batman getting raped and killed, and then it turns out that Tim Drake did it to keep Wonder Girl from breaking up with him. And then it turns out Batman's been getting raped by Killer Croc for years, except the Mad Hatter mindwipes them both every time it happens. There's a comic I'd like to see them go and do.

Most probably wouldn't give a s**t. Loeb might be a little miffed, Ross might definitely be miffed, or not. Whatever goes down, will matter little in the long run when everything reverts back to status quo. Could be right after Final Crisis, could take a year or two. But eventually, it all goes back to the way it was. So, why care?

If your argument is "there's no point caring about anything because none of it really matters," then what's keeping you from quitting comics altogether?
