Im thinking for my second character he will be able to control all energy....so he would be like Cyclops, Havoc, Gambit and the Invisible Woman all in one.

History: Jonathan Dillon was born in Astoria, Queens to a very broken Greek family. His mother, a crack addict, used her pregnancy with John as an excuse to extort money from his father. After he was born John’s mother left Astoria and left the child with his father. Whenever he laid eyes on the boy, Mr. Dillon was always reminded of his ex-wife’s incompetence and as such he has treated Dillon with the least amount of compassion. Dillon’s father eventually remarried and had two other kids. He constantly doted on them, but scarcely ever acknowledged John’s existence.
Never the less, John tried his best to make amends, and always tried his best to impress his father. John seized every opportunity for success, and excelled in athletic and literary classes. He would eventually attend NYU and meet his and best friend, Lucas, there. They started out as rivals in track, but soon became closer through their rivalry. The two were also writers looking for their big break and at that time they didn’t know how important their meeting would be to their future.
On a fateful investigation of a pet shop scam, Lucas stumbled upon a racketeering scheme tied to several prominent New York based crime organizations. Lucas took several incriminating photos and told John his plan to bring the crime syndicates to justice. However, John after being pressured by several groups, offered up Lucas for trade in exchange for his life. On the day Lucas was supposed to give his testimony, John (under the orders of the mafia) shot Lucas twice. Lucas’s testimony was lost and nobody was brave enough to testify afterwards.
John was never arrested for shooting Lucas because the mafia arranged for any witnesses to be “shut up”. John went on attending classes without the fear of arrest. However, several local crime families worried that John may eventually flip, so a price was put on his head. John got word of this and sought refuge from the mob in the arms of the FBI. He confessed his crimes and was promptly put in heavily guarded prison.
He thought he was safe there, but he became the subject of tests by the government. Too scared to protest publicly and be put back into the limelight, John cooperated with them. When he was released from prison and placed into the Witness Protection Program, John immediately tried to resume a normal life in San Francisco.
However the side effects of his testing began to emerge. While walking home one night, John was attacked by a local gang. When he resisted, he was shot with a shotgun. Almost immediately, John blacked out. When he awoke two hours later, he found himself inside a holding cell at a local police department. According to locals in his neighborhood, John somehow miraculously survived the gunshot wound and then proceeded to beat the gang members to death. Fortunately, John was able to get a light sentence in his trial. John was forced to attend anger management classes, and had to do several hours of mandated therapy.
During this time, Lucas fell into a coma and his family was at a loss as to what they should do with his body. A corporation known only as The Nomad Group, offered treatments that they believed would help him recover and awaken from his coma. The Shaws desperate to see their son healthy again, agreed without any hesitation. After two months of strange tests and experiments, Lucas awakened. Undaunted by his recent trauma, Lucas continued his studies at NYU and returned to normal life. John heard of this news, and skipped town, to return to New York. He was last seen trying to hitch a ride in Colorado.

Skills: John is an over-achiever. He’s never given his father any excuse to question his loyalty and usefulness. Because of his intense childhood, John has been very diligent in his studies. While both he and Lucas are both great writers in the making, John’s writing has often been more complex and thought provoking. Several of his essays have been published. He is also well recognized in the scientific community due to his intriguing pieces on society and psychology.
John has many other skills that he mastered in his fruitless attempts to please his family. John was the captain of the Astoria High School Track Team, one of the co-captains of the debate team, and was a part of his school’s Junior ROTC program. Of course, this all goes out the window when he gains a new persona….
Power(s): Due to the experiments he was subjected to while in prison, John has developed the ability to temporarily adopt a new persona when faced with an overwhelming amount of stress. Whenever he transforms into a new persona, John gains the abilities needed to deal with whatever stress he’s faced with at the cost of his memories and normal skills. No persona knows of the events that occurred while any other persona is in control, and vice versa. Each transformation only lasts until one hour after the current stress has ended.
Limits: When he transforms, John’s personality changes drastically to match the situation at hand. He won’t remember any events that occurred while any persona is in control, and the strengths and weaknesses of any given persona is out of his control. The abilities and look of each persona is tailored to whatever stress has triggered his transformation. At this point in time, he can’t actually control when the transformation occurrs or ends.
John lacks the ability to empathize with others due to his harsh treatment at a young age. He tends to always looks at the bigger picture without thinking out the little details, and can be very bossy to those beneath him. Despite his high standing in the scientific community, few people actuall like him.

cool, i'm gonna make another character, this time a hero.

Known as: Solon

History: Solon is a young warrior from another universe. He is the one hero of his world, and would have been it's savior if only he had stayed there.
His land, Tyrulmina, is a medieval world filled with sorcerors, witches, dragons and other fierce monsters. He fulfilled the legend that a young warrior would rise up and save the land from a tyranical ruler who wanted nothing more than to use the princess of Tyrulminas soul to ressurect an ancient darkness and harness it to rule for all of eternity. He started out as nothing more than a peasant farmer's nephew working near the castle. When the evil one arrived, he could hear all of the comotion from his bedroom window. When he and his uncle entered the castle to help the guards, his uncle was slain by Rachmog, the now self-appointed emperor of the land. The princess Zelia was not defenseless though, she helped Solon escape. But as they reached the final door, she was struck by a spell of sleeping casted by Rachmog's apprentice, Haldono.
She came to him in a dream, and told once the temples to the ancient gods were once again activated, then he could recieve the ultimate weapon, the Sword of Light or in his tongue, Halcyod. After a long journey across the land to the 12 temples, each one containing a guardian of the god it represented, Zelia appeared to him again.
She informed him that Halcyod was contained in a room only the hero of legend could enter in the dungeons underneath the castle.
As he traverses the seemingly endless underneath passages of the castle, he finds a golden door. He opens it to find a sword stuck in the ground. It has a metallic blue handle. It's looks like a simple sword, but emites a radiance that makes it feel like something much more.
With an arsenal of weapons, mystical objects, and the sword of legend, Solon enters the castle once again. He duels Haldono and defeats him easily with his new sword. When he enters the throne room, he finds Zelia asleep, lying on an altar about to have her soul removed on the last full moon of the year. Rachmog and Solon fight in a battle unlike any other. When Rachmog is finally defeated, Solon stabs Halcyod in the heart, and disappears. Zelia wakes up, to find Solon gone, and Rachmog gone as well. She knows that without Solon in her world, it is doomed unless he returns.
Solon's newest adventure has begun on a place named earth, in a city unlike anything he has ever seen, Los Angeles.

History: There is, probably, one word to describe Marcus Garfield. Lucky. Lucky, how? Well, let's see. First off, He has a life anyone would dream of. Growing up on one of the biggest surfing capitals on earth, Mark never had the troubles of his peers. He always got the girl. He always impressed. He always was the life of the party.
So lucky, even when all that changed, he still had a life anyone would wish for. When did it change? The day he was attacked. Accidentally surfing into a dangerous territory, off the coast, Mark was almost eaten alive by a hungry Great White Shark. It was like living a nightmare. But even then, he survived. Undergoing an experimental surgery that fused skin and bone tissue back together with a cloning regeneration, Mark was 100% recovered from his so called 'critical injuries' less than a week after being attacked.
What he didn't know was the after affects of the procedure. Going back into the water, Mark discovered he could swim, literally, ten times faster than he did before. Wiping out, Mark also realised he could breathe underwater.
Going back to the clinic where he underwent the sugery, It was discovered that, due to certain injuries, Mark was given abilities far beyond those of normal men. When the Great White bit into his throat? He gained the ability to breathe underwater. When his face was mashed onto his surf board during the struggle? His senses were heighted. When the Shark took out a nearly devastating part of his leg and bicep muscles? Superspeed and strength.
He was now, bluntly... In his own words... "a ****ing merman!".
Using these abilities, He accidentally discovered an underwater smuggling ring that had been plaguing the island for weeks. Taking it upon himself to do something about it, Mark took the smugglers out himself.
Revealing these abilites to a longtime girlfriend, Mark was pretty much stunned to find her dead the next day. Pinned to her was a note, threatening the rest of his friends and family. The irony? It was from the leaders of the smuggling ring that he stopped.
Deciding to take all of them on, for revenge, Mark donned a mask and costume inspired by the very Shark that almost used him for a toothpick, He scared off the ring and has since protected the island. On land? He's still the lucky surfer known as MG. Off land... He's Sharkman.

He has always had a life that most only dream of. He made his way through local theater in his home state of Texas, eventualy he was offered a larg touring role as Roul in a production of The Phantom of the Opera. When the tour reached Los Angeles Thomas was offered a contract by a very high profile agent who held contarcts to several major celebrities. within the next two years Thomas had gained popularity and fame that takes most a lifetime. He has been featured on the covers of major magazines and is currently the talk of the nation.

The were the under constant bombardment by paparazzi and late night TV hosts. But recived virtualy no bad press. They were both very much in love and little could be done to undermine that. Thomas asked Jennifer to mary him and quikly that was a hot topic, but when it was announced that she was pregnant the media had a feild day! Thomas could not have been happier.

Thomas had gone out after a day of shooting to a jewelry store, he wanted to buy her something nice for a wedding gift. He came home later that night, gift in hand, to find a large group of police car swarming around his house in Beverly Hills. He aproached quikly, but was stopped before he reched the door. One of the Detectives informed him that there had been a break in. Aperently a burgler had come by, Jennifer had tried to fight him off, but wasn't able to, so he killed her. Strangly nothing had been taken, perhaps the intruder paniced once he killed her, the reasoning is yet to be known, but he fled long before the police arrived and left no evidence behind.
Thomas sank into a deep depression. He has never known this kind of sorrow, in fact he NEVER know sorrow AT ALL. His life had always been happy, some would say perfect. Despite a strained relationship with his father Minister Thomas Meurig senior, he had never had much difficulty in life. He drank himelf into a stupor, and quikly the press caught up to him, labeling him a drunk and a broken man. Some tabloids even attempted to blame him for his fiances murder, which only eged on his drinking bing.
Eventualy Thomas' anger began to outweigh his pain, he stopped drinking and began looking for a way to fight back. He became detremined to find a way to locate and kill his wifes murderer. He hired every trainer in Hollywood, learned multiple forms of Martial arts, gained experience in many forms of weaponry, yet in the end he remined a man in public veiw, unableto break free. Anything he did would clearly come back on him. He became discouraged, beliveing that anything he would attempt would be fruitless and he would only end up behind bars. He again turned back to drinking.
One day Thomas recived a letter, it was marked from a Doctor Bronson. Inside the letter were directions and a note simply stating come to this adress at 6 o' clock and not to be late. thomas felt that whatever he did had no meaning anyway so he might as well honor a request of a strange letter taking him to a strange place. Thomas arrived the adress listed and stood in front of a lage building several stories high. The gates opened the moment he arrived, he was obviously expected. As he intered the building he was greeted by Dr. Bronson who soon would explain that this was center for genetic research and deveopment. He aslo explained that he has been working with alien DNA harvested from years of crash landings....Thomas response.....laughter. He assumed this was a hoax, he expected Ashton Kutcher to come through the door at any moment but then Dr. Bronson showed him a laboritory where all of these experiments were conducted, Thomas could not refute what his eyes saw. He began to question why he was aked tro come here, why HE was so imporatant....

He also explained that because of Thomas unique position it could benifit them both, Dr. Bronson would have his subject and Thomas would have all the power necisary to avenge his lost love.......and if for any reason Thomas denied his offer anything he had to say about this to anyone else would simply be veiwed as the lunicy of a broken man. While almost slightly offended by being called a lunatic, Thomas accepted the proposal. He was evaluated, straped to a table, and injected with a syrum comprised of the alien DNA. His muscels grew larger instantly and broke through the restraints, his eyes became dark with red viens and blood coming to the surface of his skin around them, his body began to leviatate off of the tabel, talon like blade broke through the skin on the sides of his forearms, and he began screaming in pain. The doctor managed to peirce his eyeball with a tranquilizer dart comprised of enough sedatives to KILL a horse.
When Thomas woke he was once again in his original state, free from the change that had over taken him. He explained that his screaming was not due to the talon like blade jutiing out of his arms, but instead from visions of pain that flooded his mind. As he began to decribe what he saw the laboritory assitants became almost emotional, as did Dr. Bronson. Aparently Thomas inherited an alien trait of empathy which was mutated due to his own focus on pain, now Thomas can see and even feel the painfull events of other around him. His biological structure had been changed, when he was not sedated his skin had become nearly impenatrable, something common in the animal test subjects, hence the reaction of Dr. Bronson shooting the tranq dart in his eye,it is the only soft flesh he poseses in that form, and even then it is required that the needle be both dimond and laser sharpened. Along with this the arm talons are a significant trait of a very specific alien species. The most confusing for Dr. Bronson was Thomas' ability to defy gravity. He asked Thomas to stay on a while longer while he conducted more studies, and hopefully find a way of removing the burden of a painfull overflow of emotion.
After weeks of study and constant sedation Dr. Bronson couldnt find any means of removing the empathetic ability, it wound to tightly into his genetic structure. He did however manage to find an artifact harvested from one of the downed ships, which carried with it either a radiation or some sort of harmonic vibration that disrupted this ability and allowed him to focus without feeling an overwhelming amount of pain. One day during testing, Thomas was in his fully altered form when the lab doors opened and several military personel entered. The began demanding that Dr. Bronson hand over all of his reasech and developments, which to them included his human test subject. Bronson refused and the shot him in the chest, killing him. As he died Thomas felt his pain, he will never forget it as it is a permanent scar on his psyche. In anger he rushed foward to kill these asalents, his talons protuding, but with every kick, punch, or slash that delivered to them, he in turn felt it himslef. Soon he realised that he could not kill them for it would leave him only more damaged, so instead he diabled them, gathered the alien artifact and tranqulizers and broke through the wall. Once on the other side he found himself not only hovering in the air, but with the ability to fly.

He sat in a dark room for hours contemplating what had happened to him, he was now faced with the realization that his was not the only pain out there, others faced tagedy, others faced anguish and injustice. He decided then and there that these new abilities would not be for selfish gain, his empathetic powers had given him a new level of insite. He would live his normal life during the day, he would remain a face that everyone knows and loves, but by night he would stalk those that commited heinous crimes. He took an oath then and there, on the spilled blood of his fiance and unborn child, he would not allow others to feel the kind of pain he had to endure. He crafted a costume typical of heroes on televison and movies, the alien artifact on his belt slightly resembeling the abreviation for his name CO and now Thomas Meurig is but a mask, his true identity is now one villianous criminals will fear.....he is...CRIMSON OATH!

He is his own weakness. His empathetic ability will drive him insane, especialy if he come in contact with a truely horrible crime, like a visious murder or rape. He is his own greatest weakness and I'm sure people will prey on that.
