A straight up energy manipulator would probably work best for what you want. Able to manipulate all the energies from simple radiation to creating hard light force fields. Would give you room to play around with his powers too. Give you some creative leeway, or what have you.

Yeah....it just i dont know if he would be to weak or to strong....and i dont rally know if that is what im exactly looking for...I MEAN THERE ARE SO MANY POWERS TO CHOSE FROM its hard...

O and Yall see the new name:D

how was that for an intro?
Killed three people already.

and can you put the name of who you posted as on the top of post from now on?

Create-a-hero Application:

Name: Unknown

Known As: The Seer

Location: Anywhere he needs to be.

Side(hero/villain/unknown): Unknown - He acts as an agent for whatever force is guiding him - which has it's own agenda.

Description:
Age - Unknown - mid to late 20's estimated.
Height - six foot one inch
Weight - 250
Eyes -Brown, Completely black when receiving visions (although is rarely unmasked)
Hair - White (rarely unmasked)

History: He was nothing - and then he was everything. The Seer has no memory of his old life - it has been completely erased. The being he serves is unknown to him, and causes him to commit both crimes and acts of heroism. He is exceptionally ruthless when doing his masters bidding, murder is not beyond him.
The entity which leads him also made him extremely agile, allowing him to leap from rooftop to rooftop, where he spends most of his time. he wears simply clothes, black combat trousers, and high black army boots. Along with a black jumper, long black gloves and a mask which covers his complete face and is also completely black. He also wears a long black coat, which he removes when engaged in a drawn out fight.

Stats:
Strength - Average
Dexterity -Peak
Fortitude/Stamina - Trained (due to powers)
Speed - Trained (due to powers)
Intelligence -Average

Skills: His speed and, stamina allow him to leap across rooftops (within reason) and move quickly in battle, as a result he relies mainly on his speed rather than strength in battle.

Power(s): The Seer has Precognition and minor Clairvoyance. He can see things that are happening or are about to happen, these come extremely violentely and leave him incredibly weak and vaulnerable. He also has minor Reality Warping powers, which only work within half a mile radius, however he cannot physically affect his apponent, relying on affecting his surroundings, and his position in a battle. This is also how he can make himself stronger, but the affect on himself is limited and normally can only last moments, and he cannot perform the feat again for at least an hour.

Ok, here goes an old D&D villain I'm going to convert to the RPG...

Name: His true name remains unknown to the world and lost to the pages of time.

Known As: Acerak (he also has gained many titles in his long existance, most notable being The Lich-King, The Deathless, The Reaper, Lord of Loss, and The Whispered One)

Location: Ghestahl, a large and magically hidden castle somewhere in the Black Forest of Germany (this castle is mearly a base of operations for his activities on the Material Plane. His real home is a kingdom in Avernus, the top layer of the Nine Hells of Baator).

Side(hero/villain/unknown): Villain

Description: Acerak's natural appearance is that of a humanoid skeleton, wrapped in fine robes and adorned with many artifacts and trinkits (most which have magical properties). Despite his incredibly long life (or unlife), Acerak still has pieces of rotted muscle stuck to his bones on his face and body. He teeth are gone and have been replaced with dagger-like pieces of ebony. His eyes are like black voids of nothingness, save for the small pin-point of an eerie red light in each socket that burns with the fires of hate.
Age - Exact age is unknown, but Acerak is well over a thousand years old (some rumors in the black circles suggest that he was once a powerful Babylonian sorcerer).

Height - 6ft, 3in
Weight - 90lbs
Eyes - None save the crimson pin-points that seemingly float in his black sockets
Hair - None

History: Acerak, or the person who would become Acerak, was once a powerful mage in the great city of Babylon during the time of Hammurabi. Acerak was the great king's chief advisor and commander of the War Wizards of Babylon, a small contingent of sorcerers skilled in battle magic. Acerak, however, was well versed in most forms of spellcraft. Particularly necromancy. The black art was his particular specialty, but Acerak was forced to study in secret as the black art was forbidden in the Hammurabi's kingdom.

In Babylonian scriptures, the goddess Tiamat was killed in battle with Anu, the progenitor of the gods. Her death, though, was not as final as the scriptures made it out. Acerak had always been hungry for more power, and there was nothing he would not do to obtain it. One night in his dreams, the dead goddess came to him in the form of a great undead wyrm. She told him of an ancient temple hidden and long buried in the cave system under the city. An ancient temple devoted to her. Tiamat fed him the images necessary to allow him to find the temple, and told him to travel there. In return he would receive a great gift. Upon finding and entering the temple, Acerak was confronted by a vision of the dead goddess. The goddess charged him with the resurrection of her church, and to aid her in her vengeance against the gods. Acerak accepted, and, in return, was granted the knowledge of the dark arts of necromancy.

Slowly, under Acerak's guidance, Tiamat's church grew. The honeyed promises of wealth and power Acerak made quickly gained the allegiance of the down-trodden and the slaves. Worshipped in secret, Tiamat's influence began to grow in Babylon. Eventually though, the priests of Marduk, lord of the gods, uncovered Tiamat's cult. Through interrogation, they were able to discern the location of the goddess' hidden temple, and, with a legion of troops and the War Wizards, attacked the unholy place. A great battle unsued, and, under the combined might of all the priests and sorcerers, Acerak was defeated and killed.

He did not stay dead for very long though. Acerak was no fool, and knew it was only a matter of time before the cult was discovered and destroyed. Through his studies of the black arts, Acerak came upon an ancient and purely evil ritual in which, through a series of spells and potions, a mage could become an immortal being. Acerak prepared and executed the ritual to Lichdom mere days before the attack on the temple came. Upon his death, his spirit was sent to his phylactery, a small magical trinket that would act as a house for his spirit for eternity should his body ever be destroyed. The soldiers burned the temple to the ground and destroyed all of the magical scrolls and items they could find (Acerak hid the ancient tomes in a secret place to prevent them from being destroyed or read by others). After the final cultist was killed, the Babylonian troops returned to the surface, sealing the entranceway forever with a massive cave-in.

They made a fatal mistake though when they left the bodies of the fallen cultists down there to rot, and thus Acerak's spirit was able to possess one such body and return. Now a being of unlife, Acerak was now able to continue his quest for knowledge and power for untold ages. In his new undead form, Acerak gained unholy powers (listed below), but at a price. Never again will he know the simple joys of the living, such as the loving touch of another. But it is a price Acerak has no regrets about paying.

No longer devoting himself to the dead goddess, Tiamat, Acerak persued his studies in all things arcane with earnest. Tiamat, furious in knowing that Acerak used her to get the power he wanted, sent many demons to slay the lich, but all failed. Eventually, Acerak grew tired of the constant harassment, and, with his powerful magics, formed an army of his own. Acerak sent his army to face Tiamat, whom he discovered was not trapped in the first layer of the Nine Hells (after she was slaughtered by Anu, her spirit was cast into the infernal plane). She was not a true goddess anymore. Now she was simply a demon lord of Hell, albeit a powerful one.

His armies clashed with her demonic hordes, and Acerak met the goddess in a titanic spell battle that shook all of Avernus at it's core. Eventually though, Acerak proved the better and defeated the old goddess. With her spirit gone forever, Acerak took Tiamat's domain for his own. His battle with the now dead demoness drew the attention of Lord Bel, a powerful Pit Fiend who watched over the layer for the Morning Star. Bel met with the Lich-King and they both came to an understanding. Acerak's claim on Tiamat's kingdom would not be contested. In return, Acerak would pay a tribute of human souls to Lucifer every year. Now free to study the magics of the lower planes, Acerak delved deeply into black arts never seen by mortal man.

Thousands of years passed on the mortal plane, and the name of Acerak become mostly forgotten. Until one day, in the year 1095, the mortal plane drew the lich's attention once more. The great wars that raged from said year all the way to 1260 AD were of great interest to Acerak. Why the holy wars drew the lich's attention is unknown, but Acerak created a keep magically hidden in the Black Forest to observe these events. As the Crusades ended, Acerak kept his castle on the mortal realm intact. The blind and warped devotion to the Supreme Being amused him. He spent centuries on the material plane manipulating mortals. He was the one responsible for the Spanish Inquisition in 1478. It was through Acerak's will that Hitler came to power in Germany.

The Whispered One has had a hand in almost every dark event in human history over the centuries. Whether this is for his own personal enjoyment or part of a deeper, sinister plot, no one knows. Who can fathom the dark thoughts that go through the mind of a creature such as Acerak? One thing is for certain though, Acerak has taken an interest in the mortal world again.

Let all the goodly folk of the planet beware...

Skills: Acerak is one of the greatest spellcasters in existance, on any plane. Even in life he was the strongest of mortal mages, and in unlife he has grown far stronger. Thanks to his thousands of years of unlife, Acerak is a master in every school of magic, including the unknown dark magics of the Pit. Acerak is also a master manipulator and a good and charismatic leader. Due to his millenia long existance, Acerak is an incredibly intelligent being.

Power(s): When Acerak made the transformation into Lichdom, he gained abilities befiting one of the lords of the undead.
Acerak feels no pain and has a degree of superhuman strength, durability, speed, and reflexes. Acerak also has no need to eat, sleep, or breath, and is immune to cold and, thanks to his time in the Pit, fire (even hellfire). Being a lich, Acerak is also immune to transmutation, electricity, poison, paralysis, diseases, and mind-affecting attacks.
Acerak is shrouded in an aura of death and evil that can break the will of even the strongest of men. All those within a few dozen meters are seized by a uncontrolable feeling of pure fear. Acerak can surpress this ability if he so chooses.
Acerak's touch can paralyze a foe if he wills it to. Those paralyzed by his touch appear to be dead, though they are actually still alive.
Being a powerful lich, Acerak is a master of undead and evil creatures, able to dominate them to his will.
Acerak is able to alter his own form to appear as any humanoid creature he wishes.
Acerak has the undead ability to see in total darkness.

Acerak also possesses a treasure trove of magical tomes, trinkets, and artifacts. Most he keeps in his kingdom in Avernus, but he alway has on him a magical ring that allows him the ability of true-sight (see through illusions), and a staff made of the blackened spine of a demon and topped with a human skull adorned with many different gemstones. It is unclear what this staff is truly capable of, but it has been shown to be able to open dimensional gateways to the outer planes and can loose potent blasts of hellfire.

Like all liches, once Acerak's body is destroyed his spirit returns to his phylactery before taking possession of a new body. Should his phylactery be destroyed, Acerak's next death would destroy his spirit forever.

Acerak (pronounced "ASS-err-ack" in case any were wondering) will be mainly played as a manipulator. Rarely will he fight PCs head on, prefering to use minions (demons and other monsters, or hiring PC villains) to do his dirty work.

Not say that PCs can't take him on (LT's angel would be a perfect enemy for him, for instance), but he mainly would see fighting them as an inconvenience. So, he might fight for a little while and then leave when he grows bored, for example.

Create-a-hero Application:

Name: Damian Hatchison

Known As: Chance

Location: Pittsburgh, PA

Side(hero/villain/unknown): Unknown

Description:
Age - 23
Height – 6’
Eyes – Normal: Hazel
Powers: Glowing Silver
Hair - Brown

History: Damian Hatchison always believed that anything could happen. Since birth, little things, like toys appearing out of nowhere to cups of milk falling of the table, were happening constantly. At first, his parents thought they were just coincidence and then things started happening more regularly. They took him to a psychiatrist, Dr. Jordan Gobart. He tested the child in every way he knew, though he couldn’t find anything wrong with him. The doctor attempted to take his blood. Once he revealed the long needle, the three year old Damian got anxious. Jordon held him down and was about to insert the needle when a silver force of energy surrounded the boy. Instantly, he was diagnosed as a mutant.

The force field wouldn’t appear for another fifteen years, but that wasn’t the end of the strange occurrences following Damian. His parents thought the best course of action was to keep the child’s mind busy. Maybe then he couldn’t concentrate on his powers. At age thirteen, they sent him to the best school money could buy. Over the years he learned many things that any public school could never teach him. Still, one day, during his AP Genetics class, he was concentrating on the teacher’s notes when the chalk board caught on fire. There was no reason or chance this could happen, but it just did. The strange thing was, moments before it happened, Damian had been thinking of it.

After college, something terrible happened. On his way home from work, he saw a plane circling the High Mark Building. Damian though this was strange since it was getting lower. He then noticed the left wing was on fire; it was going to crash. The young man knew he had power, but he didn’t know how to access it. Closing his eyes, he thought of what he wanted. He could see his mind’s eye traveling through a glowing field of stars and images. When he opened his gleaming silvery eyes, the plane’s wing was repairing itself. Taking the name Chance, he now uses his power for a greater purpose.

Stats:
Strength -Average
Dexterity -Average
Fortitude/Stamina - Trained
Speed - Average
Intelligence - Trained

Skills: Damian is in great physical condition. He is also good in hand to hand combat. He learned this technique at his expensive private school.

Power(s): Damian affects probability. Say he wants a spider to parachute from the ceiling; he telepathically searches through alternative timelines and finds one where, at that exact moment, a spider is parachuting from the ceiling. Once he finds that timeline or dimension, he brings that spider from that world to ours. This process doesn’t take anytime. It also can happen subconsciously.

Damian’s telepathy is very limited. He cannot control people’s minds or read them. Its only function is to search through timelines.

He can also generate force fields. The force fields are made of energy from which he pulls from the environment.

Weakness: His probability powers can only be used if what he wants exists in a certain timeline. Also, since creating forcefields is still rather new to him, he can’t project them to other people, only to himself. If strains enough power to do so, he will be exhausted.

First post up. And don't worry... All that best friends/surfer stuff was just to set up who the guy behind the mask is. My next post should be alot more... how do you say it?... oh, yeah... Action-packed, In your face, Superheroing sweetness.

(Hopefully. :o)

Create-a-hero Application:

Name: James Roberts

Known As: ElectroFlare(Now you know where my name comes from)

Location: Philadelphia

Side(hero/villain/unknown): Hero

Description:
Age - 25 currently. Age recieved powers 19.
Height - 6'1
Weight - 150 lbs.
Eye - Blue
Hair - Brown

When in super-hero clothes, ElectroFlare wears a completely black near skin tight clothing. It is highlighted by electrical charges running down his limbs that join together to create a sunburst style emblem on his chest. He wears a mask that covers his head and left eye, but leaves his mouth open for speach.

elec.jpg

History: James Roberts was a child prodigy. He graduated high school at age 13 and a few years later was brought into the goverment to research bio-chemistry. His original intention was to create a formula to make soliders stronger and fast and smarter. However, due to a hi death rate human testing was declined. James, unhappy with the descision, injected himself with the formula. However, as he injected himself an electrical fire spread throughout his lab. While trying to escape, James was struck in his left eye with a loose cable. The cable burned away his eye and gave him the powers he weilds today.

Stats:
Strength - Average: Lift - 110 and up, Carry - 65lbs

Dexterity -Adept: Major Dextrous/Athletic Capbility

Fortitude/Stamina -Average: Can maintain half peak performance of all physical stats for 6 minutes WITHOUT rest - Minor Toxin/Disease
Resistance - Required 10 hours of sleep a day, can go 3 days without sustaing charge under minimal activity before death occurs.

Speed - Extreme: In electrical form, C(speed of light). In human form, he tops out at mach 3. This is flying speed. Running speed is significantly less due to increased friction and tops out at two hundred miles per hour.

Intelligence -Adept: 145IQ and up - large amount of skills - Fascinating leaps of logic

Skills: James has very few common skills and his socialbility is very limited, do to his child hood of spending his life in books. His skills do included speed reading(not induced by powers) and finding solutions to problems and puzzles quickly.

Power(s): His powers are electrical in nature. He can fly, move at incredible speeds, manipulate electrical devices, and fire electrical blasts from his hands. His most visually stunning power is to transform his body into living electricity. In this form, he cannot interact with the physical world and is in effect intangible. Therefore to combat hand to hand he must be in tangible form. Being in electrical form also taxes him much more then the use of his other powers, so his electrical form is primarily used for intimidation, lighting an area, or for speed. Due to his electrical nature, he no longer eats or drinks. He must sustain himself by recharging with electricity.

Ive seen some awsome post and i actualy read them ALL...i deserve a metal :D

Electro and Charlie are accepted and im looking forward to the post all you guys come up with

I have my first post written on notebook paper, I needed something to do inbetween finals, so hopefully I'll be able to type that up tomorrow.

Question:

Is there a back story on this and how people got their powers? Or are we making our own?

Well I have my own reason for how I got my powers.....dono about the rest...
