I just realized I've never read any Penguin stories, my only exposure to him is BTAS, BR, and the Arkhamverse. Which I have loved all three versions of, love the Nolan North Arkhamverse version the most I think.

Oh and there is Gotham but I'm far behind on that and don't know when I'll catch up.

Read this, it's great.

Yes, I would highly recommend that. Penguin is terrifyingly ruthless in it. Seriously you would be afraid to look at him in the wrong way in that story.

It's cool, it wasn't really you, it was me, Rodrigo, and to a lesser extent regwec with all our Penguin talk :oldrazz:

I don't know I think he could have groped a few boobs if he had wanted. I mean before he even ran for Mayor the city was all over him with hero worship with his fake saving the baby act, and phony sob story about finding his folks who dumped him. I mean you even saw Gothamites (Mrs. Bob Kane specifically lol) saying stuff like "He's like a frog who became a prince".
I like talking about Penguin! :D

I meant before that :p
When he was the penguin man of the sewer! Is it fair to assume that he was so perverted because he hadn't it in months, or never at all? :hehe:

He was perverted when he was eyeing up Jen, but he knew he could finally get his hands on the women as he was up for the election. That power he felt, it gave him feelings of being able to get anyone he wanted. When Catwoman rebuffed him, he became violent because he wanted her, thought he was close to her, and because she sent him the signals.

Well he had a couple of attractive hotties in his circus gang like the Snake charmer and the Poodle lady. So I think he was just generally pervy by nature. I don't even want to know what his French flipper trick is ;nd

Catwoman rebuffing him had nothing to do with him being in the Mayoral elections. He thought she was into him because as he said she sent out the signals to him. Basically she led him on and he was pissed when she insulted him like she did when he proposed "I wouldn't touch you to scratch you".

No guy would take that comment kindly, much less an angry psychotic freak.

Those of us with a thing for *****y women wouldn't mind. :)

And let us not forget he wanted to "fill her void." Ummm okay. I get it, but even to this day I kind of don't because a) it sounds so dumb and b) it doesn't make ****y sound very attractive.

Like Kevin Smith said he was practically a poon hound.

Joker was into Vicki, got bored of Alicia...Penguin was into any good looking female on two legs. A lot of sexual desires played into their behaviour. Especially Joker :hehe:

Penguin, by far, is my favorite Batman villain at this point. I love Joker, he's my second favorite, but Penguin has just been awesome. I love his Golden Age comics.

I thought I'd assist in providing a great piece showing that Batman is very cautious about Penguin and his cunning nature.

In The Penguin Affair, Batman goes onto saying: "Whatever Penguin is, he's anything but a buffoon." -- "He plans his crimes with military precision his thinking is brilliant -- circuitous and multi-leveled."

LOL has everyone seen this?

The costumes and make up they had for Joker and Penguin were darn good.

Yep, also another scene where he's warning newbie Tim Drake about not under estimating Penguin.

I don't know about anyone else, but I've noticed that some writers of Batman seem to think Penguin has an obsession with umbrellas. I may be wrong on this, but isn't his obsession birds?

I know his mother forced him to carry an umbrella at a young age due to his father dying of an illness, but he seems to still carry around the umbrella out of just pure habit. Then again, he's trying to be a gentleman and umbrellas are an accessory that they carried around often back then.

I think it's more of a habit than an actual obsession, he does use them to conceal weapons, but that is just to trick people, of course. I guess it's just weird to me that some make it seem like he's more obsessed with umbrellas than birds.

I don't know if it's been posted yet, but here's an unused poster design for the movie.
