I had that Luke. His hand came off. My favorite was ROTJ Skywalker

I loved that Luke too. I always wanted the version that he wore during the final confrontation with Vader. There's one that's part of a box set, I just never got my hands on it.

That's a very nice collection! Too bad I got rid of my stuff (other than my BTAS Batman & Robin). All of my 100+ Star Wars figures and 15 - 20 vehicles are in boxes in my dad's attic. I also have a couple of playsets like Jabba's palace and the catwalk from A New Hope. I take it back, this is my favorite SW figure. The Darth Vader figure from the final ROTJ battle. His helmet and hand were both removable and the overall look of the figure was much better than the original Darth Vader from Kenner's first Star Wars relaunch toyline.

Christian Dior's Spring/Summer Haute Couture collection unveiled in 2001 inspired by Michelle Pfeiffer's Catwoman costume in BATMAN RETURNS (1992)

I love the scene in the cave when Batman is sitting down takes off one of his glove/gauntlet thing and calls up Alfred for some antiseptic ointment and pulls out the claw and says "meow".

Speaking of Catwoman, check this out. This is from a dumb article on Darkknightrisesrumors.com:

Catwoman is verified for the Dark Knight Rises, and she, too, has had a few film renditions, starting with Batman Returns in 1992 played by Michelle Pfeiffer on to the solo (and unfortunate) film with Catwoman played by Halle Berry.

Neither of these Catwoman costumes look like their comic book counterparts in any era. The stitched look served Selina Kyle’s character and plot in Batman Returns, and well, the Halle Berry version was probably designed with pubescent boys in mind.
I agree about the Halle Berry Catsuit but as for Michelle Pfeiffer's Catsuit not looking like it's comic book counterparts in any era? Really? They also didn't have positive things to say about Keaton's suit but I decided to focus on this for now.....

Hey Meddle, I see the point you're making... But I'm pretty sure both of those versions of Catwoman you posted came post-Batman Returns. :cwink:

I know but that wasn't the point. It's just that the guy was wrong about the suit not looking like the other Catsuits from the comics. It doesn't matter how or when. Earth Two Catwoman cowl (I know the 2nd pic is from something else but it's the same cowl) & modern day leathery look.

Everything about that scene was great.

A mistletoe could be deadly if you eat it.

Mmmmm but a kiss could be deadly if you mean it.

I just noticed that after I posted it. I realize it isn't, but it brings to mind the cat resurrection scene.

Sure it matters, if the guy meant that the movie Catwoman suit didn't look like the suit from the comics of the time, which I think he did.

But it did; which makes his point pretty moot. I see that Lead Cenobite posted a pic of the late 80's mini and here's another one from the Grant/Breyfogle era back in '91. This is how she was running around back then

But he didn't say that. He said it doesn't look like any of the Catsuits from "any era". Even if he was referring to that he's still wrong. Earth Two Catwoman cowl was strikingly similar as well as the Catsuit from the 1989 Catoman mini-series. Both were before Batman Returns.

I thought it was pretty silly because the guy that's running the site is supposed to be a Batman movie fan as well as a comic book guy. It seemed like one of those things he intentionally said just so make the current stuff look better.

Oh I'm not saying the suit wasn't similar to the comics of the time, it certainly was that. I don't know how literal the writer was being... certainly I don't think we'd seen the stitching aspect of the Pfeiffer-suit. I mean it wasn't as if there was a huge difference from page to screen. If anything, it was the bat-suit that largely deviated from the comics.

I really liked the stitching/patches design. It made the suit look a lot less plain and it made sense.

Totally! I mean, hey, I'm one of the few that liked Burton's take on Penguin's origin, so...
