My favorite Batman game as a kid was the 89 Batman game for sega I always looked so forward to the end levels especially when you could fly the batwing.

^ That game was ridiculously short. You could finish it in under half an hour. I loved Batman Returns on the Sega Genesis.

I never played any of the batman games on the Genesis. I did play Returns on Sega CD, and it was ridiculously hard.

I think the only Bat game I'd played prior to BB and now the AA/O series was the B&R game for PSOne. I remember loving that you could roam around the Batcave, change characters/vehicles and drive through Gotham to wherever the mission was. The problem was, it was really murky and so goddamn hard. I think I only just managed to fight Freeze in the museum before I gave up (it was rented).

Batman Forever on the SNES is laughably bad.

No game is as bad as BATMAN BEYOND: RETURN OF THE JOKER.

I'm pretty sure BF is. That game is broken on so many levels.

Kane will love this; the first game I ever bought for my PS1 was Batman and Robin :o It was really hard, and the controls could be annoying, but I did enjoy playing it. I managed to finish it with some effort. The game was quite long. Set over the course of three days where you have to make it to different locations of Gotham at specific times, like to the museum to stop Mr. Freeze stealing the diamond, or to Police HQ to stop Ivy and Bane trashing the batsignal, before the crooks pull off their crime and get away.

I remember the game over cut scenes were pretty cool. There was one for Freeze and Ivy:

Oh yeah, BF for SNES definitely gets my vote for worst Batman game ever.

I remember playing the B:TAS game for Sega CD too, but I don't really recall how good or bad it was.

Batman Forever is indeed a hot mess. It's the MK game engine without any of the fun and the game looks ugly as hell with some of the lamest level designs in history. A shame too cause the Batman Forever arcade game it was loosely based on was actually decent.

That Mr. Freeze game over scene is so depressing lol.

BF game on the GameGear was atrocious, while the BReturns game on the GameGear was amazing.

I miss the Batman Vengeance. That game was epic...

Batman: Dark Tomorrow was pretty gosh darn awful, too.

The darkest thing you'll ever see associated with B&R.

Batman Returns game over screen on the Sega CD was awesome:

"You don't really think you'll win do you?"

I had a Sega Genesis, and if you thought Batman Returns on SNES was tough, on the Genesis it's damn near impossible! Got to the last fight with Penguin plenty of times but never beat him. The Batman 89 game was also great for including batmobile and batwing shooter levels. Didn't know about an arcade game for that movie, that must've been good!

Really? I beat the Genesis version a million times, but couldn't beat the SNES version without the Game Genie!

Batman is moving up in the video game world, having a decent selection now. Mostly courtesy of the Arkham and Lego series. Though I do like Batman Begins and Vengeance. Sin Tzu technically isn't a bad game, but it's definitely not as good. Mostly a repetitive beat-em up.

Ha, oh ****! I got Dark Tomorrow and Vengeance mixed up. Yeah, I never played Vengeance....but Dark Tomorrow was horrible. Ha!

I still like Vengeance. Really liked it back in the day. I'd recommend a play through.

Havent played Dark Tomorrow and likely won't.

Just imagine yourself playing the Arkham games while having a seizure upside down, and that's basically how the game controls and feels.

I haven't played Dark Tomorrow, but the cutscenes seemed pretty nice.

Can't say I cared for the voice actors though... The Joker in particular.

So/so. The individual levels are a bit crappy, but jumping around Gotham's rooftops is briefly diverting.

^ That's awesome

Helps that BTAS Penguin was modeled after DeVito, too.

Yeah. Overall, that game was a good effort, but a miserable fail.
