I hope so, he'd make an excellent overarching villain for Gordon and Bullock in season 2.

Wow... these promos have me seriously pumped for the last four episodes.

I still can't get over how brilliantly cast both Robin Lord Taylor and Corey Michael Smith are in their respective roles. The show is very lucky to have them.

We'll see Bruce "become someone else" next season, exploring the schism between Bruce and another side of himself. (Foreshadowing!) #Gotham

Ben McKenzie jokes that he'll eat his way into Jim's iconic (paunchier) look. "I have to earn the mustache."

Clayface and The Mad Hatter are going to be coming to the show, says EP John Stephens - both have fascinating backstories. #gotham

We'll never see Bruce put on the cowl, but continue to see him grow into Batman, through his relationships and guided by Alfred/Jim. #gotham

They've come close to the Court of Owls but haven't yet committed; but they could be related to shadowy figures trying to control #Gotham...

Danny Cannon wanted the show to be timeless/push reality in different ways, and still feel grounded. It's not our world, but close. #Gotham

I really hope the Court of Owls are brought in at some stage. I feel that they have been hinted at during the season and that they were who Lovecraft was referring to in the episode that he died in. They would be great villains and it would make sense as they were the first people that a young Bruce investigated in the comics (according to Snyder) and right now Bruce is investigating the people in the company who some people believe are the Court of Owls or were meant to have represented them or to have been symbolic of them in the episode where Bruce went in and said that he had evidence on them. Hopefully the writers decide to commit to using them.

In regards to The Court of Owls being mentioned, I have just seen this picture. Maybe it was photoshopped, maybe it means nothing and is just a coincidence or maybe it is just the writers paying homage to The Court of Owls and nothing more but there is a chance that it could be a hint or clue that the Court will be used.

So they're really going to go the "Smallville" route when it comes to the whole Batman issue. I wonder if's because of the film division or because they generally don't have an interest in doing Batman and prefer showcasing his villains.
