The Avengers The Official 'Hulk in Avengers' thread. - Part 10

Was Banner/Hulk aware that something was wrong & trying to warn Black Widow to "Run For Your Life" before he started chasing after her? Although watching the scene with subtitles all that popped up was "Your Life!" so was unsure what Hulk was really trying to say.

I took it as a level of indignation, almost like "how dare you talk about swearing on YOUR LIFE after you've brought me into this crazy situation destroying mine!"

I'm not of the mind that Loki the sole reason for Banner's viciousness during that Hulk-out, I think Banner at that time was extremely angry about the whole situation, and the pain from the explosion just took it over the edge. Widow was the object of his rage because of her role in putting him there.

cgi is still sexy, 9 years later. Also, Hulk is underrated :o

Yeah, while I think Avengers Hulk is better overall and certainly more consistent, Ang's Hulk was always better than TIH version to me, and some of those cgi shots still hold up today, some of them are quite remarkable, and that desert/San Fran rampage is still tops for me in terms of superhero action sequences.

I watch this one way more than 2008's. I'm nor all the sudden not liking TIH. I love it and it is cannon. However, I just enjoy Ang Lee's story better. Not all parts but a lot of it. Dang it, I just wish they would've had no Tim Roth and a different Abomination. Now they can just learn from both and make a more perfect Hulk movie in the future.

I know he looks a little Shrek-ish, but I think that the Ang Lee Hulk design is far superior to TIH. But Hulk was way too huge the angrier he got. His head was the size of Talbot's torso!

Wish we had got a round 2 of Hulk Vs Thor in Avengers but that would have been kinda hard to do with them saving the world & all, it is also a shame we didn't get to see Thor's reaction to being sucker punched after he & Hulk brought down the ship.

Probably the same thing he told Iron Man
"Do not touch me again" :yay:

Seriously though I think he would have laughed it off and said "you don't want to go there Banner, we have left your ship(meaning Hellicarrier)" or something along those lines. Lol

Even though I think Norton is the best Banner, 2003 had the best Hulk in terms of looks:

Eh..I still don't get why all the films insisted upon a resemblance to the actor. I still think TIH had the best head, but I'd like to see Hulk with an unapologetic monster head.

Ang Lee's Hulk looks like it just came out of a rubber mould and hasn't set yet.

And that's not really the best pic of Lou Ferrigno's Hulk - that comes from the TV reunion movies where the makeup and wig were worse than the series. I think this is more representative of him:

He actually looked like Hulk for some time. But I hate that plant hair-do.

There aren't any good pics of Lou as Hulk. It isn't his fault, but they all look like a guy in cheap, Halloween makeup from Big Lots.

Quick question to considers but since hulk only said two word "puny god", would you consider when he rage -transformed with black widow he utter something like "your life?" Would that be banner or hulk?

They do seem to be insanely against Hulk carrying on conversations in live action. Though ironically in that new Iron Man/Hulk DTV he's talking up a storm.

also in EMH he has a good deal of dialogue. I was hoping that they would use one of his more memorable lines like "Hulk strongest there is!!" or "No one stronger than HULK!!"

I love the Hulk in EMH.

Well actually I love everything about EMH....

Yet Avengers Hulk is the only Hulk that at least looks like some verion of the comic book Hulk in the face....... Hulk

No offense to TIH fans, but IMO TIH was ugly compared to Avengers Hulk. Ang Lee's was too huge and too green. Avengers was just right. His skin wasn't too green, and he has a gap between his nose and mouth, like the comic! I though TIH's "all muscle and no fat" approach made him look fake. And I could have gone without the haircut.

I know it wasn't during this transformation but I believe and I WILL FOREVER!(even if they deny it):oldrazz: say that Hulk said SMASH! right after Cap told him to smash and he jumped grabbed a Chituari and yelled it as he leaped to the other building. I know he said it and that's that. :D

He did say it, I didn't catch it the first time but I've every single time since then.

CGI on Ang Lee's Hulk was very good, but the design of the Hulk just wasn't right. It was a good attempt though, the first CGI'ed version of Hulk.
The design in The Incredible Hulk was better, closer to the comics, but the CGI wasn't very good.
The Avengers version was just the right mixture of both, great design and great CGI.
My opinion, of course.

I hope they keep the theme of Hulk having a respect for Cap, something they're going with in the cartoon series and most recently in AvX where he decides to fight Cyclops due to Cap basically asking him to. Like he'll fight alongside the team but won't become focused on a task unless Cap says so.
