^ I believe the guys from the Strong Man Competitions are stronger than the bodybuilders you see on stage and you dont see them ripped and oiled or in a banana hammock.

They are stocky/no neck/forearms as wide as your chest guys. They are in sweat pants and T shirts.

I am with that ladder that he shouldnt be crazy bruce lee ripped with striations in his muscles like in TIH, but more stocky and much more mass like a Strong Man Competitor.
Those guys can't move! They're just fat along with being strong. Hulk is a force of energy..he can jump a mile in the air and sprint bloody fast. He must be eating tonnes of pure lard for any body fat to have time to form. His metabolism has got to be naturally a lot faster than all these guys no matter what drugs they are taking.

Anyway the point I made about the super strength feats was a reply to an earlier point and not that relevant (I was saying throwing buses etc are the equivalent of pumping iron before a competition which would get Hulk into a similar state as a bodybuilder who does this in response to the point that that is the reason why bodybuilders are more ripped than Hulk).

the 90s boyband haircut and cheekbones on the tih hulk made him look cute

He's adowable!

Not liking the Hulk in the new Assembled Avengers image - a MAJOR step backwards from the fantastic/on the money image released at Comic Con last month! Let's hope this is just the marketing guys and not the official image!

ang's hulk had a human face but it wasn't a handsome human face.

the 90s boyband haircut and cheekbones on the tih hulk made him look cute

and no more closer to ogre-esque as in your avatar.

take the hulk in the avengers cartoon, pretty.

I've been saying that for 4 years now. When people say Ang's Hulk looked too human, or when people on here try to argue with me about the Hulk slightly resembling Banner because the Hulk "should strictly look like a monster!" Yet they love the '08 version, I can't understand it.

What they really mean, I guess, is that Ang's Hulk somewhat resembled Eric Bana (as he should), but he still had the big jaw, protruding brow, humped back, neanderthal hands & feet, wide body structure, that's the Hulk to me, more of a gorilla than a bodybuilder.

TIH version was just alot more angry all the time, he snarled and growled without some of the introspection the '03 one showed at times. But his face was extremely human. Too human.

I understand that most general fans of Hulk prefer the more Dale Keown style they used in TIH, with the human face & 0 body fat, but to me, he should be more of a brute. The problem with Ang's Hulk was the wild inconsistency & the super bright green color. Hopefully third times a charm...

a toned world's strongest man build with more primate proportions i think would be perfect.

Maybe back in the day this comment would make sense.

But current guys like Mariusz are pretty cut.

Personally it has always been my take that the overall look of the Hulk should start out as it does in TIH, but his muscles should grow more ripped and he should become more vascular and more massive as he gets madder and stronger.. But only the muscle should grow not actual height

and wind up looking like a freaky extra large verzion of

They will. The Assembled pic isn't that accurate.

I actually greatly prefer the assembled image vs the comic con poster we saw. This one doesn't have the extremely protruding forehead and looks more like the Hulk to me.

I just wonder how did they get Hulk on board and what happen to Bruce being Wanted?

I'm hoping they keep the striations to be honest since it just makes sense. Not only is this guy rapidly expanding but his metabolism has gotta be ridiculous. Unless the fat grows with him, Hulk should be disgustingly ripped. Strongmen only look so fat because of their training regiment. With the Hulk...what training regiment is there?

Though I certainly would not complain if he looks like he does in the new art. That looks awesome. I'm hoping for a 6-pack and not just a gut.

I like the cut look on Hulk but I could go a little less on it and be cool. One thing that stood out to me about TIH was that his skin looked so thin. I definitely wouldn't mind if his skin looked more thick.

I like the new looks though.

hulk in the new art looks a lot closer to the first promo art we got for avengers and it looks a lot like the promo art on the box packaging that we saw form sdcc.

I like this pic of hulk more than the comic con poster I really hope this is what he will look like

oooooooo Hulk Height/Facial features and build action goin on all up in this! :D

Honestly....I couldnt love it more.

Is Hulk shorter in the Avengers or is that just artistic licence? He looks like a traditional, old school Hulk who is between 7 and 8 feet tall. I would prefer him that height actually than the height he was in TIH movie.

He was huge in ANgs Hulk... he was definitly not over 8 feet tall in TIH.

at any rate in regard to being shorter??

nah....

That is correct. Ang Lee's hulk was just way too big.

nah....

What??? He was nearly twice as tall as Tim Roth. Tim Roth stood as high as Hulk's hip. Come On Mannnn!

nah....

Tim Roth is 5'7". The characters in that Avengers poster range from about 6'3" to about Roth's height. Hulk isn't that much taller than them as he is in this shot from TIH where he's standing opposite Roth.

in regard to you being correct??
nah...

Its even been officially said that he was 9 feet.

SO Thor would stand at about his chest.... seems about right, heck I think the Destoryer was taller then the Hulk....

any word on that things official movie height????
