No, because imo, the fight was stiff, choreograph, slow with pauses or hesitation, and not fast paced(think Spidey2) with a lot more destruction, one would expect from two goliaths.

For sure, Thor was done an injustice in the Hulk vs animated movie. They reduced Thor to Hulk's punching bag.

Exactly, this is the way Thor SHOULD always fight.

Man I hated that, I was like geez does Marvel have it out for Thor or something?

I'm pretty sure they aren't going to go this route in the film, I want to get a fairly even fight between the two.

Has the hulk ever been drunk in the comics? I would love to see a scene in a sequel where the Hulk shows up at the mansion, a bit hungry and thirsty, goes looking for some grub, but all he finds is Tony's booze.
Y'know, if they brought in a talking hulk.
Hopefully wheodn will help the talking hulk come along and develop for the movies, we need the hulk to start talking in order for his movies to start grabbing the GA's attention more, i think they would flip out for a talking hulk movie.

Hercules got drunk when he was on Earth in the Avengers comics, he's as strong as Thor right? and Thor can give the hulk a decent fight strenghtwise, so why not the hulk if he put enough away?
If they had a full bar in the mansion, they could come back to the hulk having drank the lot, even if it got hima bit tipsy, it would be a great scene.
But, aye, it needs to be a talking hulk to work.

eh, it was a random idea that occured to me, I wondered if it had ever been attempted in the books. If Whedon stayed on as writer/director, i think he could write up a great comedic character scene like that.
Y'know, but the twist is, the Hulk doesn't get angry when he gets a bit tipsy, he enjoys it and has a good time, gets more talkative, says some funny dumb hulk stuff to the other avengers.
But aye, i really hope that Whedon pushes for some talking hulk, surely this is the ideal chance to have him communicating with other people, they put in a couple of lines in TIH, now, we need to see some more.

We must surely get the Avengers nicknames as well from the Hulk, I think the GA, esp those who had not encountered a talking Hulk before, would lap that up big time. The nicknames would get big laughs in the cinema.

Afaik it has been done once in the books: The Gray Hulk (who was only the Hulk at night and turned back into Banner during the day) wanted to incapacitate Banner so Bruce couldn't make sure the Hulk was locked away for the next change, so he broke into a liquor store and drank most of it's stock. Just before sun-up he mused that he was finally feeling 'a bit woozy', and when he changed Banner collapsed in very drunken heap. He was arrested by the local cops for breaking into the store and locked in a cell the Hulk would easily break out of.

Actually Thor and Herc stalemated in a strength contest so the're the same, however Herc is slightly better at unarmed combat.

You don't know much about Marvel's Herc do ya? He's like a drunken, irresponsible buffoon. He thinks Thor takes himself too seriously. It'd be hilarious seeing them fight.

Well that's IF what Jordanstine heard was in fact true. Sorry for being skeptical, but I'm somewhat biased these days whenever I hear about someone, as reliable as they may be, having "sources".

In any case, I wonder what would make Thor and Hulk finish the fight in a way that didn't involve one of them gaining the upper hand and actually defeating their opponent.
