That's a given, we already knew the Avengers vs Hulk was going to happen (I'm not a big fan of it either).

Well that's IF what Jordanstine heard was in fact true. Sorry for being skeptical, but I'm somewhat biased these days whenever I hear about someone, as reliable as they may be, having "sources".

In any case, I wonder what would make Thor and Hulk finish the fight in a way that didn't involve one of them gaining the upper hand and actually defeating their opponent.

That's understandable and I hope the fight between Thor and Hulk is ended without either one of the having the upper hand for an extended period of time as well.

I've heard alot of people say they want Thor to have the upperhand at first with Hulk winning towards the end, but I think that would seem like Thor lost since the end of the fight is what counts.

That would be perfect, this could happen right as Thor and Hulk are getting ready to strike each other again or as they're locked in a grappling match.

I mentioned it early that I think the fight might involve Loki mind controlling the Hulk. Once Loki escapes, or achieves whatever he was setting out to do, he leaves and releases the Hulk from the mind control. Once released, the fight with Thor ends and no one technically wins.

I wonder if we'll actually see the Hulk going on some missions with the Avengers? The reason why I'm asking is that part of me thinks that the only time that the Hulk will be involved in fighting alongside the Avengers will be in the climax, which would kind of suck for me personally.

I would prefer seeing the Hulk go on a few missions with the team before the climax.

I don't think the're going to be that many missions in the film, so if Hulk went on one mission in addition to the climax mission I'd be happy.

The only way I see this working is if Loki is somehow able to warp Hulk's perceptions of Thor and the rest of the Avengers. That way when Loki tries to do it again (he's arrogant enough to try it again if it worked one time), Hulk is able to resist it, realizing his teammates would never harm him or work against him intentionally. This shows Hulk's strength of will, as well as his bond to the Avenger's team.

Thor is awesome no doubt, but when it comes to powerhouse, HULK is he! Yes, Thor should be surprised by the might of HULK, as he has crushed much bigger opponents. I also believe this could unite them, and endear HULK to Thor...

Thor's mother is an elder god (Jord) and his father is an Asgardian sky father, so yeah he's a full god.

Actually there both powerhouses and strength isn't the only factor in being a powerhouse, Thor's vast array of large scale weather controlling abilities makes him just as much as a powerhouse as Hulk.

I still think Hulk will be so pissed off from being trapped in Banner for so long, that when he finally gets out, he is going to smash everyone in sight....and I'm going to love watching it. I'm sure he will settle down after he gets it out of his system, but he's going to be wild and super pissed for a bit when he first shows up. Banner learning to control him has probably left him trapped inside Banner for quite a while at this point. So, he has been watching the world through Banners eyes, getting more and more pissed off. When he finally gets set free from Banner...watch out.

I wonder if once we see the Hulk, if that will be it for Banner in the movie, until the end I guess, when things calm down? Basically, the Hulk "gets out", **** starts going down and he's not calming down because things are too crazy.

I agree, Once the Hulk gets out, things are just going to get more and more crazy, and I don't think he will change back to Banner until after the final battle.

It sounds like they are using slo-mo for part of the fight, so that should look pretty cool.

I still want to see a good demonstration of Thor's God strength without Mjolnir. I'm currious to see how powerful Marvel intends the movie incarnation of Thor to be.

Yeah, people think Thor's not that strong in the movie universe but I just think his strength wasn't properly demonstrated because of the film's focus on Mjolnir.

I agree, I'd like to see Thor demonstrate some serious strength without Mjolnir. From the movie, it could be understood that Thor's strength comes from Mjolnir. I'd like movie evidence that's not the case.

200th post! Wooohooo!...and it only took me 10 years. I remember sitting in my college computer lab in 2002, joining the forums when this was just Spider-Man hype. Anyhoo, the only demonstration of Thor's strength without Mjolnir in the movie that I can remember, is when he flipped over the huge banquet table in Asgard.

I'm also looking forward to seeing how much dammage Mjolnir does to the Hulk. Word is that Hulk takes a direct hit to the head with it in the next trailer. In the Ultimates, all it did was break Hulk's jaw and make him horny for Betty. Getting hit in the head with a weapon forged from the core of a dying star has to smart a bit.

im willing to bet we see at least two hulkouts, because think about the fact that hawkeye uses tranq arrows on hulk to tame him. SO at some point we probably see him use it, like near the beginning to tame the hulk to get to banner. Then maybe again when the action pics up, and from there we probably wont see banner till the end?
