So is everyone glad to hear that as of the moment, the hulk is being treated as a separate entity from banner in this film? Personally, I'm glad that it's happening since imho, this is the treatment that the Hulk character has been in need of for awhile on the big screen; that he is a character himself as well.
It's interesting to note that it seems like SHIELD wants to recruit Banner for his gamma rays expertise and not the Hulk actually. I wonder how the Hulk will eventually come in and fit into the equation of being a member of the team?
As for the two years comment, I wonder if the scene at the end of TIH now means that because of that moment, Bruce had learned to gain further control in suppressing or bringing out the Hulk at more towards his will instead of the hulk's.
Tan pants?

Yeah, I'm thinking that Joss is going to stress the conflict between Banner and Hulk himself. It's not so much that Banner is afraid of Hulk anymore; it's that he genuinely does not want the Hulk to get out anymore....and vice versa. I always love the portrayals of Hulk in the comics where he shows an abiding *hatred* of his human counterpart, and does everything in his power to keep *Banner* repressed, in the same way that Banner tries to keep the Hulk repressed.
Also, the fact that gamma radiation is attached to the Tesseract adds yet another dimension to the "Arc Reactor Theory" --- in that whatever powers the Cosmic Cube may wind up being identical to the power driving Tony's arc reactor as well as the gamma explosion that fueled the birth of Hulk.

It reminds me of The Ultimates quite a bit. Shield recruits Banner for his knowledge and genius, and The Hulk is something they are praying doesn't show up.
Thankfully though, we don't have a hulk who eats people and acts more menace than good.lol
Yeah, that would make sense because in the movie continuity, no one except Betty really knows that Hulk isn't just a rampaging monster.
I suppose Thor might not be as intimidated by Hulk as the rest of them. He's smakced around everything from Frost Giants to Trolls with his hammer. Hulk might just be another monster to him.
Jeez, imagine what half of the US would go through if a pissed off Hulk went toe to toe with the arrogant and brash Thor at the start of his film? After going through the areas that they've fought in you would think that a war just took place.lol
