I was hoping Hiddleston was joking, but he said that Loki has to adapt to each Avenger he fights. Loki on steroids is just a bad idea.

Given that the Hulk is treated as a separate person now, I really hope that this means that we get a Hulk who can actually say things that aren't limited to "Hulk Smash" or "Betty". I mean I know we got the Hulk to quietly say "Leave me alone" in the Brazil Factory in TIH, but I want to see the Hulk say more than that clearly.lol

I think it's a great idea because it will show what the Cosmic Cube enables its bearer to do. It has to be damned powerful to enable Loki to go toe-to-toe with the Hulk and win. The GA needs to have the Cube's power demonstrated in tangible ways, and this is a means of doing that.

when i watched the panel (someone uploaded it to the general news thread) , it did seem like he was just joking, so i've no worries

Thor better call Hulk a troll in this movie or I'm abandoning all potential love for it.

He could call him an Ogre, Hulk strikes me as more of an Ogre than a Troll.

I believe "troll" is a reference to the TV movie The Incredible Hulk returns.

I'm still thinking that Marvel will probably not end up using Lou Ferrigno to voice the Hulk, even though he's said on numerous occasions that he will do it. If Ruffalo is doing the mo-cap performance, won't he want to also say any lines the Hulk may have, especially if the Hulk talks more in this movie. Of course, Ruffalo's own voice sounds completely wrong for the Hulk, but it could be digitally altered. I don't see that he's going to want to be overdubbed by Ferrigno, unless Hulk barely speaks, in which case those few lines could be given to Lou.

That's what I'm thinking too. Lou confirmed his involvement but it was way before the movie even had a director iirc. Plus I remember Mark saying a ways back in an interview that as the Hulk, "I have a few lines" so digitally altered is what I'm leaning toward.

I want the Hulk to talk and be able to have a conversation. They need to take it back to the Jeckle and Hyde theme. We are obviously not going to see Professor Hulk, but I would love to see something close to the Green Scar personality wise.

I read on IGN they'll use the model from Avengers in the Hulk TV series.

Yeah, according to Loeb, they want to keep it close to the movie's design. Great news, imo.

Well, isn't Lou Ferrigno voicing Hulk? He did in TIH and I heard he will in Avengers.

Yeah, according to Loeb, they want to keep it close to 's design. Great , imo.

Indeed. The one of the rare times I like Loeb.

Also, a dude on CBM pointed out that they could introduce heroes like Spider-Man and the X-Men into the MCU via the TV shows, since Marvel owns the TV rights.

hopefully the show could lead into avengers2 or TIH2. I want it to continue Banner's story from avengers.

Considering the scare that they may not include Hulk in the Avengers (or the possibility of excluding just Banner) a couple years back, this is all pretty amazing that Marvel Studios is finally paying proper attention to the Hulk and in such a faithful way live action media never has. Based on what little we have at this point, his portrayal sounds great so far. What did it for me was referring to Hulk as "him" and "the other guy."

oh man that's awesome. I'd love for the series to be contained within the MCU (though they've said that's doubtful), especially if Hulk doesn't end up with a sequel.

They have a good cg model, and they have a bruce banner, I think they could go ahead and continue the story.

A WETA/ILM Hulk in a TV series + Del Toro = Gold.

The VFX for the Hulk were my biggest worry for the TV series. This is more than I had ever hoped for (I was thinking prosthetics ala Hellboy)

Oh wow, I just got all the details reading the article. There's little reason not to set it in the MCU, this could actually be awesome! Recycling the Hulk models seem like a no-brainer and I'm glad they're going for it. I might really watch this Hulk show...

I am on board with this for sure. The Hulk needs consistency. But are they not still going to use animatronics/suit in combination with CGI? I would think that use of just CGI at the level of a theatrical release would be prohibitively expensive for a weekly show.

I wondered what they were going to do for this tv show, and I thought that they could flesh out the story that was summarized during the opening credits for The Incredible Hulk movie. This would, in effect, be classified as part of the MCU.

They aren't just using the design: They are literally using the already-rendered model for the Avengers movie in the TV series, made by ILM/WETA. All they need is to use mocap to make it move. The whole point is that it's not expensive, since they already made it.

Is it safe to assume the show would be on ABC or will it air on a cable network?

ABC, considering they already announced it would be a while back. So will Jessica Jones (which I guess would be a supehero cop show?) and Cloak and Dagger.
