When you guys say you think there will be two hulk transformations does that mean you think we'll only see hulk twice or well only see him transform twice?

2 transformations, but (hopefully) a good number of scenes/shots with the Hulk in action after each.

But that happened in the 50's.

I'm pretty sure that it started before the 50's and carried over to the 70's. That's 20 years for a perception like that to take root.

Think of it like this. In the 1980s and 1990 it was public perception that only nerds used computers. Now it is 2012 and that perception has changed since then. That perception lasted for a bout 20 years then changed around 2000 when more people started buying home computers. 20 year for that perception to take root and 10 years to destroy it.

Remembering the whole Bruce/gay thing also reminded me of this:

Wonder if Millar was quietly having a little reference to the silliness of those past shenanigans when he wrote that? (probably not..His 'Ultimate Hulk' was just like that anyways)

God, I hate the Ultimate comics....so much, so very much.

Honestly, in spite of it definitely being hard iron age, I actually liked the first two volumes of Ultimates. In retrospect, I am shocked that Mark Millar could write something that good. I assume it was accidental.

The Liberators were great villains, and the cinematic action scenes were awesome, but Ultimate Hulk makes me :csad:

I should amend my sentence *Ultimate Hulk as written by Mark Millar.
Seriously think that guy has a weird fetish for Hulk :o

I never much cared for Ultimate Hulk. I pray cinematic Hulk never turns out like UH

I don't think he will. I mean, this is just a theory of mine, but I get a feeling that Marvel are trying to be protective on how their heroes are perceived by the general audience, thus why they probably didn't want to go down the "Demon in the Bottle" storyline with Iron Man in Iron Man 2 due to how Tony really went downhill in that storyline before barely coming out of it. Sure it was definitely somewhat referenced in the eventual film, but nowhere near the level that the comics had portrayed it from what I've heard.

Same could be said for hulk; while the Hulk's actions in TIH have been debated between fans in terms of their morality, (ala the gray area, which I assume is what Marvel was going for), they probably thought that if they released a full on Ultimate's Hulk in the MCU, then it'd be pretty hard to sell him as a "hero" joining the Avengers for when it came to that point since how could people root for him if he had done so many terrible things intentionally.

A completely brutal compassionatless Hulk would only work if you were to pit him against non humanoid like foes. Enemies like robots, none humanoid Monsters, and none humanoid aliens would be suitable to abuse.

Or if the ones he was fighting were even more brutal beforehand.

I've all ways thought of Hulk as a Monster's Monster. He's the thing that other fearsome creatures are afriad of. Hulk is the Monster that goes *SMASH!!* in the light. :oldrazz:

The thing with Ultimate Hulk, he was more than just brutish, he was a downright Psycho who often threatened to rape Betty to death, and even killed and ate people.
That said ,some of his fighting tactics were plain awesome, I mean he killed Ultimate Abomination by tearing his arms out of their sockets and then punching a hole through Emil's head, so if they're going to take anything from the Ultimate version then it should be that, it gives the audience the sense that is a guy who you wouldn't want to make an enemy out of.

I gives me the sense that he's a guy I wouldn't want to make a comic out of. :csad:

Its actually not that far from what movie verse Hulk was going to do Abomination, albeit with less decapitation. :o

Not this discussion again. :/

Why are talking about Ultimate comics again? If we talked about it less, maybe it'd just go away. :oldrazz:
