The thing with Ultimate Hulk, he was more than just brutish, he was a downright Psycho who often threatened to rape Betty to death, and even killed and ate people.
That said ,some of his fighting tactics were plain awesome, I mean he killed Ultimate Abomination by tearing his arms out of their sockets and then punching a hole through Emil's head, so if they're going to take anything from the Ultimate version then it should be that, it gives the audience the sense that is a guy who you wouldn't want to make an enemy out of.

I don't know why it makes some people so upset that the hulk would kill anything. I mean Movie Thor flew into a monsters mouth and blew out the back of it head. I'd love to see the Hulk do something that brutal. I mean come on you have people complaining that Hulk kicked *whatshisname* into a tree.

I not saying that I want movie Hulk to be exactly like ultimate Hulk. I just like some aspect of Ultimate Hulk when it comes to battles. There is version of Hulk in the Main universe that's worst than Ultimate Hulk but It never escaped banners mind. I think that Hulk it basically like savage Hulk but with no humanity. It’s what banner feared that Savage Hulk would be.

Hulk is gonna kill some "aliens" in this movie for sure...I mean he pretty much already did in the trailer when he blew that ship up...AND he is gonna totally destroy one of the Leviathans.

THAT is what is gonna make HULK the ace in the hole and come off as the cherry on top of this movie. I just have this idea that the Leviathan shows up and everybody is like "oh *****" and Hulk just roars and leaps up onto it and begins to SMASH! I have no doubt this will happen in the movie if they have nailed Hulk as much as I believe they have.

that shot of the Leviathan in the trailer definitely has Hulk hanging onto it....otherwise where the hell are the greens and purples coming from in that hazy pic?

Cool, as long as Thor gets to take down the other one. :oldrazz:

Im looking forward to both Hulk going Ape***** on the aliens, and Thor unleashing the full brunt of his God fury. People will be reminded that he's a God, and it's not smart to piss him off.

Definately :woot:

I want to see Hulk pull off some epic ground slams & thunder claps and Thor unleash with large scale lightning attacks and wind storms frm Thor

Personally hoping for a scene where Hulk and Thor are surrounded by Loki's army, fighting them off back to back. That's the dream.

I was actually really looking forward to get more information on that. Thank you so much Carlo for the interview.

It's interesting to see that they did want a very muscular built man for the movements but still had Ruffalo in mo cap (which is pretty clear from the facial fidelity of the Hulk footage we've seen) for the facial movements.

What I get from the interview is that Mark Ruffalo's body movement had to be replicated as best as Brenna could. I love when productions put this much care into aspects like this.

It will really pay off in the final product.

That's gonna happen, but it'll be with Cap and Thor. Hopefully in one long continuous tracking shot. :hrt:

Because its not in Hulk's general character anymore than it is in Batman's or Superman's. When there's no choice and its do or die, depending on the situation, then maybe, but I'm more surprised alot of you seem to condone that. Then on the same token the smallest minuscule change to other characters you guys enjoy is met with a firestorm. Ridiculous...

The Hulk killing, to me, is like giving Thor a Super Lighting Gun. Yeah wouldn't that be cool." BAH

I think that should be part of his development though. As Hulk learns and accepts he has a place in the world, learns he doesn't have to be a monster, he should adopt his own sense of morality too.

After reading the interview, I had one thought:

There should be a scene where the Hulk is carrying around an injured Iron Man when they're all of a sudden surrounded by Loki's army. Just when it looks like they're doomed, Tony shouts, "SHOOT ME!" and Hulk throws him at a bad guy...
Then he says something like, "Look at that! I took down an army man!"

Just an idea...

The Hulk has killed, or tried to kill, or shown reckless disregard for life, since the very beginning. I really don't see where this "the Hulk should never kill!" concept is coming from, aside from bad Pak comics.

The movies so far are handling it fine: the Hulk is not *malicious*, but if you attack and enrage him, he's not going to magically harm human bodies less than concrete and steel.

Because he's had so many various personas over the years, that's why. His most primal has no issues with just ****ing up as many things in his vicinity, but Savage/Gravage/Worldbreaker, they CAN kill, but if you're obviously not on his level, he's not going to just outright murder you if you can't fight back.

The Hulk will hit you till you stop attacking him. He doesn't pull punches unless he's dealing with completely none powered humans that don't have any heavy weapons.

I guess it depends on the Hulk your familiar with, because the classic Savage Hulk I grew up on, upon which almost every mainstream iteration is based, hardly killed anything. I mean that's the Frankenstein dichotomy the whole character was created on. Ross was equivalent to the angry mob running with pitchforks and torches.

On top of that, alot of you ok with the killing also want Banner completely banished as well. Makes me think what the hell are we even discussing? Even the Avengers cartoon has sightings of Banner, I mean, do you guys even like the Hulk lol?

huh? i thought ruffalo is gonna do the mocap for hulk? so it was only his facial expressions then? well that means he is not the one who plays the hulk for the first time....norton did the facial expressions as well...

my guess is that he was the STUNT mocap. ruffalo still did mocap, but he probably had to do the tougher stuff. ?

Actually Ross was based on Captain Ahab or at least drew inspiration from him.

For a long time it was established the Hulk had never killed any innocents on his rampages, and the few he had killed in battle were super-powered and were exceptional circumstances.

Then, in one stroke of his pen, Bendis not only had him kill innocents, but attempted to make out it was not the first time either. This was the event that led to the Illuminati deciding the exile him...Hulk went on a rampage in Vegas after a bomb blew up in face and, according to the dialogue by Bendis, caused multiple fatalities: He had Stark say: "How many casualties this time?".

PAK decided to address Bendis' casual disregard for comic history and made it clear that had not happened. His explanation for the Hulk being able to cause mass destruction without killing was that Banner's vast intellect was at work unconsciously working out all the factors to steer the Hulks 'smashing' so he never killed.

Some may find the idea silly, but I prefer that to a Hulk that kills, and when you think about...it is it really that much harder to accept than other big hitters never causing any innocent deaths when they go at it populated areas?.

My problems with Hulk killing people on purpose is that everybody who hates him, wants him dead, captured or destroyed are right.

Ross is right, he's dangerous, he's a menace, he's a killer, he should be stopped at any cost. And that could take away some of the misunderstood monster premise Stan Lee intended and would put some heroism in Ross's attempts to destroy him.
